Transmigrating from a zombie world to become the mecha kings wife-Chapter 677: Decision of the council
Chapter 677: Decision of the council
The others looked at Apo like prey as he took the first steps down, heading towards the babies and Scarlet. Their hot gazes burned into his back as they looked forward to the interaction between Scarlet, Apheitos and those weird flames.
It was like they all shared this premonition that the moment he touched them, something would happen.
Suddenly, Apo came to as stop. He was not a fool that would so eagerly run into a fire blindly. He had made a few observations as he went down. One, the deities of the underworld were a little too excited about his trip down to look at the babies.
Two, fate had been clamoring about claiming one of the children and yet she was abnormally silent right now. And lastly was Scarlet herself and her husband. They were confident, too confident that it bothered him.
The gleam in Scarlet’s eye was a little too happy, denoting the knowledge of a secret. Apo did not like secrets, not ones that he wasn’t aware of.
He tilted his head and said, "On second thought, why should I bring myself down to your level to look at the children? I am a deity and I have help for these kind of things."
To the great disappointment of more than a few deities, he returned to his large throne like chair and sat down. "Emaddel, bring me that child, the only one with black and white hair."
He commanded one of the life angels that was standing below. To the left side of Esong and Scarlet, at a respectable distance were life angels and to the right, grim reapers and hounds.
Each side was on alert, waiting for the slightest instruction to move. When the life angel moved, so did the hounds and so did Nyx.
This was because it was not just one life angel, a dozen of them flew towards Scarlet with looks of determination on their faces.
"Didn’t you hear me when I said no touching of any kind?" Scarlet roared.
She retrieved the children and sent them to her storage space. It was the one place that even the gods could not access and they seemed to have forgotten that she had it.
For months, she had been preparing an area where she would keep the children, right next to her family members.
Nyx spread his wings, growing their size to the maximum size. They were bigger than before and even their shape changed. The backs of his wings moved like they had tiny little eyes and from those little eyes, a dark smoke was emitted.
His entire being changed, and the shadow prince of the underworld was born. Nyx was not feared for no reason, he was the biggest of the natural born reapers, with the largest wingspan, so vast like mountains. He shared the powers of his hound, and other than smoke, he could spit hound fire when he was fighting.
With his scythe in hand, he summoned his hound and they took to the skies and immediately went for the life angels that planned to attack his wife.
"Oh the shadow prince of the underworld is in full form. It’s so on." The god of chaos cheered.
"Finally." The god of deceit whispered and chuckled. His excitement was so huge that he was almost frothing at the mouth.
The deities that had come for the war
were finally getting the entertainment that they wanted. Only, the entertainment was short lived because life angels started dropping like flies even before they could touch Scarlet. They started vanishing away, disappearing in the same way the last goddess of fate had done.
They went from excitement to nervousness, shock and horror. Finally, they begun to understand what had given Scarlet the confidence and arrogance to speak to them as she had done.
"Get her." The god of life bellowed to more life angels.
Scarlet twirled around like a cyclone, and out of the cyclone, green bullets flew like rain drops, hitting the group of life angels that was approaching, all of them suffered the same fate as others.
Those that attacked Nyx in the sky started dropping like flies, hands on their throats as if they were choking.
Between what Scarlet was doing that was causing life angels to be erased and whatever Nyx was doing to arrest the powers of the life angels, there was a lot going on, a lot that was confusing the deities. Some had even stood on their feet because this was new to them.
"Stop, this needs to stop right now." Tridon stood up and he roared.
A portal opened in the sky and with force, water came gushing out hitting the fighters from the two sides.
The god of rain was not far behind Tridon, he opened the skies and it started to pour.
The god of wind, the god of the earth and the goddess of peace went to work, each trying to stop the madness.
But death and life kept commanding their creatures to attack.
"I said stop now," Tridon roared again. He looked at the two gods to his left and right, death and life.
They were now calmly watching both sides fight, completely unbothered. However the other gods were bothered. Normal wars drained the fighters, they didn’t erase them.
If their creatures knew that they could be erased, nobody would fight anymore wars.
"Retreat." The god of life told his life angels.
More and more had been flying in despite the orders given by Tridon.
Tridon looked at the old deity as well, waiting for him to call his reapers to halt.
"I am okay to keep going." The old deity said nonchalantly.
Scarlet would wipe out all those life angels easily. This war was not for the underworld to lose, it was theirs to win.
Tridon huffed and loudly roared to everything that was moving on the dead world, "The council has come to a decision that the war is over. The children will be staying with their mother and every creature here should return to their realm now because this world is going to be erased by me right now."
"Hold on, you can’t decide that on your own." An exasperated Apo argued. "I want Nyx punished, I have to get my seed cord..."
"You have just lost at least ninety nine life angels Apo, how about you handle that matter first." Tridon told him.
Apo turned to Scarlet, rage shooting out of his eyes and he pointed at her as he said in a deep voice filled with hatred, "You, you did this. Undo what you have done and accept your punishment."
"No." Scarlet responded.
She kicked her shoes off and glared at Tridon. Did he have to make everything wet? "These boots cost me sixty thousand star coins buddy, look at what you have done."
She was so unbothered, after all, the council had already come to a decision. No war, her children were hers, no muss no fuss. She did feel bad for the life angels that had lost their lives.
This was why she had said she didn’t want to participate in any war. If she fought, they wouldn’t just lose their powers and recover in a few years, they would be erased.
This kind of thing would create more enemies than friends for her in different realms.
While Apo was stewing and some other gods were holding him back and asking him to reign in his anger, the goddess of fate decided to speak up.
She said, "Now may not be the right time to raise this matter but the prophecy....."
"Didn’t I kill you already?" Scarlet jumped in, both perplexed and angry.
Nyx swept in, grabbed her and teleported away.
