Trapped In A Novel As The Breeding Mate For Four Powerful Alphas-Chapter 63: He got me my account
Chapter 63 - He got me my account
Luckily, I was able to send Ki-hoon off as he stared at me in that stunned state and sighed in relief.
I was finally alone.
But Ki-hoon did say something before he walked out the door. He said,
"Would you like to come with me to the office one of these days?"
I didn't hesitate to shake my head and decline.
"No, thanks,"
It was too early to start getting involved in the affairs of the office. And if I started getting involved, everyone else would start asking me to go with them to the office, parading me like a trophy, and then I wouldn't have time to read my books in peace.
I have to enjoy my free time as much as I can before the plot officially begins. Point of correction-- before the mishaps start happening, and I have to get involved.
I went up to my room and found the maids ready to give me a bath. I recognized May standing next to April and confirmed she was indeed one of the people who took care of me.
After my bath, I wore something comfortable and lay on my bed, staring at the ceiling.
I was finally alone.
Cha Hyun-woo might come over later to administer the drip again but before then, I was sure it was just me.
"Should I pick up on the book I was reading last night? Or..." I turned my head and found my new phone next to me. "Ah, that's right."
I flipped on my belly and took a good look at the phone. It was clear it was one of those popular models. It was the same as the popular models in my world.
"I expect nothing less from him," I muttered and then checked the back of the phone as Ki-hoon had said, only to find a platinum card.
It looked pretty for a bank card.
I felt Ki-hoon trusted me quite a lot to be giving me this, as well as a phone.
Honestly, when he said he'd get his secretary to take care of my account issues and said I'd have an account in my name, I thought he would just get me one of his dormant accounts and put all the money there.
Then, he would receive all notifications regarding my transactions. But he didn't do that.
He got me my account as he said he would and even got me a phone so I could track the transactions. It made me feel so giddy inside.
Now that I have a phone, should I take a look at what's going on in this world? The television should have a lot of news and content but I'm not the type that likes staring at a big screen except it's a movie night.
And I've been able to spend my time reading books so why would I bother?
But before all of that, I wanted to check how much I had gotten. I checked the messages but it was all empty.
Was it because I got the phone after the transactions were made? Then, how do I know my balance?
In the first place, I don't even know how much they initially planned to give me. I roughly said seven digits but how much were they giving me? What number? From 1 to 9, what number did they conclude the first number to be?
Okay, this was a bit difficult. If the amount the winner of the day chose to send me from the start was 2 million but the amount someone with a lower smile count decided on was 6 to 7 million, then wouldn't the total clash?
Ah, I should better ask everyone how much they initially bargained for my smile.
It wouldn't be a bad thing to call them, right?
Right. I can call but if they're busy, they won't answer my call.
"I don't have their contacts, though. Should I ask the maids?"
I went to my contacts to check, just in case, and saw the only contact there was Ki-hoon. Haha, of course, he'd put just his phone number.
Well, I could just ask for the numbers of the other two from him.
I dialed the number and waited as it rang the first time, the second time, and then on the third ring, he picked up.
I thought he was busy, but I guess he still had time to spare.
"Hello, Hyung," I called and I could tell he was elated to hear my voice.
"What is it, Jo-Pil? Do you miss me already?" He asked but I pouted.
Look at this guy. He was pretending like he wasn't happy that I called so soon.
"It's not that, but you can think of it like that if it makes you feel better, Hyung."
I was sure my words made him smile and I felt it as he said,
"It can't be helped then."
"Anyway, are you busy?" I asked and he did not hesitate to answer.
"No, not right now." He took a moment pause before he continued. "Do you need anything?" He asked.
"Well, I have a question." I said. "We originally settled on seven digits but I have no idea what you guys decided on. How much did you plan to pay for my smile? And if it's possible, do you know how much the others decided on?"
"Nine," he said.
"What?"
"We all agreed on seven nines." He said and my eyes widened. Seven nines? That was Nine million, nine hundred and ninety-nine thousand, nine hundred and ninety-nine.
It was just a single number short of ten digits. Realizing this, my eyes sparkled in the shape of 'Won' currency. They were the best.
"Since you didn't want to go higher than seven digits, I decided on the highest seven digits."
So, they would've agreed on more if I hadn't settled on seven digits?
Gosh, they were making me so greedy. Was I allowed to be feeling this greedy?
Just thinking of what I could do with that money made me crazy. And to think it would be multiplied by how many times I smiled.
This was the best job ever.
(Jeez, what I would do to have that job if it existed. Where is my fictional man? Sob!)
"It was the same for the others," he said and I gulped down my salivating mouth.
"By the way, how do I check my balance?" I asked, and he opened his mouth, planning to speak, but closed it and changed what he was going to say.
"Hold on," he cut the call for a second, and then, when I was waiting for him, I received a notification. It was an alert and I nearly fainted upon seeing the numbers.
My phone rang again and the shock almost made me drop it. I quickly answered.
"H-hello?"
"Do you see it now?" He asked. "I know I won't get to make you smile for the rest of the day so I sent mine early. Does that please you?"

"Anyway, are you busy?" Jo-Pil asked and Ki-hoon did not hesitate to answer,
"No, not right now."
Meanwhile, he was in the middle of a very important meeting with his team, and opposite him was a whiteboard with a projector showing the statistics of the project they were working on.
Everyone held their breaths as it seemed they were seeing a new and strange side of Ki-hoon for the first time.
To think he would say he wasn't busy. Just who was he talking to that he was smiling so much? The sight of it sent shivers down their spines. Fearful shivers.
'Are we seeing the end of the world soon?'
