Chapter 64 - Want to create a group chat

"Do you see it now?" Ki-hoon asked. "I know I won't get to make you smile for the rest of the day so I sent mine early. Does that please you?"

"Please me? I'm ecstatic, Hyung. Seeing this amount, I feel like I'm on cloud nine. I..." I went silent as my eyes began to tear up.

Who knew seeing so much money in my name would get me so emotional?

"I feel lucky,"

Ki-hoon went silent for a bit but then he smiled and said,

"I think I should redo my calculations," he said. "Because it seems I made you smile even when I'm not there."

Hearing that, I laughed. Yeah, he needed to send it one more time. But even then, it was alright.

"Alright, I'll leave you to your work." I said. "I'd rather you focus on making more money because, at this rate, I'll be sucking you dry with my smile."

He laughed.

"I'd honestly like to see you try, Jo-Pil." He said. Yeah, I guess I couldn't suck up his money no matter how many times I smiled.

I needed to take from the others as well and I can't exactly smile all the time.

"I'm hanging up now," I said and then cut the call.

I sighed. When was the last time I got on the phone with someone?

It felt like it had been forever. It felt good.

Now... I took a look once more at the alert I had gotten. The balance on my skin was so blinding that I could barely see without squinting my eyes.

I had become so rich just from smiling. Seriously, why was this fiction? I wished to be able to earn so easily like this in the real world too.

But alas... I sighed... This was all a dream.

I lay on the bed and started scrolling through the phone. I should probably create a group chat and add my masters once I finally get all their numbers.

It wasn't necessary to have a group chat but I felt it would make the atmosphere between us more friendly. It was already lively in real life so if we could chat in one chat room, I was sure our lives would be livelier.

I'd like to see Min-Cheol arguing over little things and read their bickering chats. It would be fun, I just know it.

While reminiscing on this, I decided to close my eyes for a second, but that single second turned into a full-blown sleep, and the next moment I woke up was when I felt a sharp sting in my skin.

I opened my eyes and found Cha Hyun-woo administering the drip.

"Oh, you didn't faint," he said, his tone sounding disappointed.

I guess I had fainted far too many times in his presence that my simple sleeping state was already regarded as a fainted state.

'I feel offended for some reason,' I thought and sat up.

"Today's the last day of the drip," he said and I nodded. "And from my previous checkups, I'd say you're gaining back your healthy body. Just keep eating like that and you'll gain a couple more pounds."

"Thank you, doc." I said to him, and he gave me one long, skeptical glance before sighing and looking away.

Was he seriously not planning on letting his guard down even by a bit? It felt like his guard was up more than before.

Maybe it would take a little more time to melt his ice. There was no rush. He could take his time.

But while I was waiting for the drip bag to finish, I couldn't just stay idle. So, I picked up the book I was reading and carefully, with one hand, searched for the page I stopped at. freeweɓnovel.cѳm

"I hope you don't mind that I'm reading a book," I said.

"Why would I?" He asked.

Well, most people converse with their doctors to waste time but I guess Hyun-woo wasn't the kind that conversed with his patients if it wasn't paying him.

He was such an expensive doctor with a rather lazy personality.

"Alright, then. I'll just read my book." I turned my gaze to my book and started reading.

My head was still a little woozy from just waking up, and maybe it would've benefited me more to wash my face, but since Hyun-woo was already putting in the needle, I thought it was better to just stay still.

'Let's just read.' so, I began to read.

One Chapter, two Chapters, three Chapters... I read to the fifth Chapter which each Chapters containing five leaves.

I was almost to the end of the book but then, I heard my stomach grumble.

"You're hungry?" He asked and I looked up with an awkward smile. "Why didn't you tell me you haven't eaten before I put in the drip?"

"Well, it was because I already ate and..."

"What do you think the time is?" He asked and I looked aside.

It was probably one of two, right?

"It's four o'clock," he gnashed his teeth.

He looked like he would rip the drip out of me in annoyance but he didn't do that.

"I can't believe this,"

Wait, was this my fault?

I didn't know I had slept for so long, and when I woke up, he was already putting the needle in my vein. He didn't even ask me anything.

Did he think I was just having a siesta or something? I fell asleep without realizing it and slept for so long,, so it's definitely not my fault.

"It's just food," I said and reached for the bell beside me. It would be the first time I would be using that bell. "I'll just eat."

I rang the bell and one of the maids walked in.

"You called master?"

"I'm hungry? Can you bring me something I can eat comfortably in bed?" I asked and she nodded.

"Right away."

There should be some of the food in the pots, and if there wasn't, she would've told me there wasn't, and I'd have settled for instant ramyeon.

I looked at Hyun-woo who looked greatly irritated and sighed.

He was being difficult for no reason.

"It's not like I'm going to die from taking the drip with an empty stomach so please, relax your expression. No one is dead yet."
