Trapped in the Beastworld Breeder System (BL)-Chapter 68: Where’s the wood? I want to see
Lucien had stayed by the door the whole time, listening as Aries conversed with the unknown person. He remained there, trying his best to listen in on the conversation, but he couldn’t make sense of it as it was all distorted and disorganized. And that was how it was going to be, because of the system’s features and settings, which forbade outsiders from knowing anything about it.
After staying for a while and realizing it wasn’t working, the door to the room creaked open, and Lucien, despite the king’s warning to stay away from Aries, strode in.
Aries, who had just been in a deep conversation with the system, was taken off guard, and he stared at the entrance Lucien walked in from.
He felt uneasy, as he didn’t know what to say or how to explain to Lucien what was going on, and that it was the system that gave him tasks, and the reason he was even with the Wolf King in the first place. Lucien didn’t know any of that.
But then his brows furrowed as he suddenly realized something.
Looking up at Lucien, who was standing before him, Aries said, "You pervert!"
"Why am I naked below?"
But Lucien didn’t even behave as though he heard that. Instead, he went ahead to ask, "How are you feeling?"
In his heart, Lucien was deeply troubled. He believed himself to have offended Aries. The fact that he had chosen to answer his father first and disregard his mate’s safety weighed heavily on his mind, and he couldn’t bring himself to stare into Aries’s eyes.
He rested his back against a chair in the room and said, "I’m very sorry that I put you in that situation. What happened between you and my brother, I am very sorry. And with Thales... I’m so sorry."
With gritted teeth, he added, "Don’t worry. I’ll definitely take revenge for what they’ve done."
Aries looked at him in confusion, his brows arching as he asked, "But what exactly are you apologizing for concerning Kenzie and Thales?"
He added, his anger flaring up as he remembered the court issue and how Lucien had handled it, "I get it if you’re talking about the court issue, but this? You’re just being inconsiderate and ungrateful."
"What do you mean?" Lucien asked sharply, his mind twisting in confusion.
Something about Aries’s words bothered him, and he needed to know. He raised his head and looked Aries in the eyes as he asked, "Then, what were you doing with my brother, and what did he do to you?"
"Kenzie didn’t hurt me, if that’s what you want to hear."
"Oh..." Lucien murmured, then added, "And Thales?"
"He only threatened me and gave me a time to resume to the field tomorrow. I honestly don’t know why you’re so aggravated."
"It’s not like I’m worried for no reason. I believe there was one anyway. So... what was with the blood?"
With the pressing questions finally answered by Aries, Lucien couldn’t help but ask the one he was most concerned about. And Aries responded, "No wonder you thought..."
Realization dawned on Aries as he understood how it must have looked to the maids—clothes soaked with blood, dripping onto the floor, lightheadedness, weakness, and fainting. Those were definitely enough symptoms for someone to assume he’d been beaten badly.
And when he realized this, he finally knew how to answer properly.
"Oh... you thought Kenzie did something to me..."
"No, he didn’t. Rather, he was trying to help me get accustomed to my title. That’s why I ended up like this. To be honest, I’m very embarrassed to say what I did."
Lucien moved closer to Aries and sat beside him on the bed. He held him gently, rubbing and kneading his hands as he said, "Tell me what happened. I’m dying to know."
"Well, it’s quite simple," Aries replied. "I tortured a prisoner."
The room quieted for a few seconds as they both stared into each other’s eyes. Then Lucien broke the silence.
"That’s it?"
"Yes..." Aries said, confused as he stared at Lucien. He spoke as though what he had said meant nothing. He had tortured a prisoner, why wasn’t Lucien looking at him differently?
Aries was still confused when Lucien added, "Why are you embarrassed about that? That’s what you’ll be doing from now on."
"But the prisoner might be dead. I really did it badly, and it’s because of my skill. I, I kind of got possessed and brutalized the man."
"I could visualize it from the clothes," Lucien said as he stood up.
"It’s actually awesome," he added.
And Aries just stared at him, confused by those words.
After that, Lucien continued, "You see, whatever skill this is, I believe it’s just as powerful and important as your healing skill. In this collaboration with the king, you’ll need every skill you can get. So I’d advise you to close your eyes to this. Rather, hone the skill. Do you get me?"
Aries nodded.
Then Lucien asked softly, "Do you care for a hug?"
Aries shook his head. "I don’t mind a hug."
Lucien stood up and stretched his hand forward for Aries to fit into, and Aries did so carefully. They hugged, their bodies melting into each other, breathing in each other’s warmth and scent, until Lucien finally sat down again, and that was where the problem began.
As they hugged while sitting down, Aries ended up seated on Lucien’s lap after Lucien wrapped the clothes over his body.
They hugged for long minutes, so long that Lucien’s hands began roaming over Aries’s body. Aries didn’t say anything, as he enjoyed the comfort the soft hands gave him—the way they tucked at his stomach and rubbed against his laps.
Lucien went further, moving to his neck.
Aries’s neck curled slightly at the soft kisses planted there, and then suddenly, he felt something poke him.
His sweet smile faded. He poked Lucien’s chest and asked, "What are you doing?"
Lucien was pulled out of his comfort when Aries made him lift his head away from his chest. "What do you mean?"
"I’m talking about your stuff. It’s poking me."
"Oh..." Lucien mouthed.
He quickly rushed away from the bed, away from their hug and moved to the cold chair.
He fixed his shorts, and when he was done, he turned back, his hand coming up to his face as he wiped it. His voice was hoarse as he said, stuttering slightly, "Honestl....y.. I’m sorry that happened. I really didn’t want any of that. I get that you need to rest."
"Wait..." Aries said, his voice calm and oddly sexy.
Then he added, "Who told you to fix your shorts?"
"Where’s the wood? I want to see it."
"Huh?" Lucien was flabbergasted.
Aries rose from the bed and moved toward Lucien, and Lucien didn’t back away. Instead, he looked at his mate with surprise filled eyes as he spoke.
"Are you truly interested in seeing it?" he asked with a snicker, an air about him that suggested to Aries that Lucien might have been looking down on him.
Aries moved closer to Lucien, his heart thumping loudly in his chest. The first time had been influenced by alcohol, but this time, he was fully awake, aware of what he was playing with.
And aware enough to know that the fire might scald him.
"Ermm..." He swallowed hard, his eyes barely meeting Lucien’s.
Making eye contact was a problem, and seeing this, Lucien took the opportunity to taunt him even more.
Suddenly, Lucien held Aries by the waist and dragged him so close that their breaths fanned against each other.
Aries raised his eyes sharply at him. He never intended to be this close, and his heart began to race as he stayed in that position.
Lucien stared at him and said, "Well, now that you’ve felt how it is, what would you like to do?"
His mouth moved to Aries’s ear as he spoke, his lips almost touching it. "I mean, before you went to see the king, we planned to finish what we started when we came back, so?"
"What?" Aries shouted the moment he heard those words.
He struggled out of Lucien’s hold, his knee kicking Lucien right in the groin—
"Fuck!" Lucien cursed loudly as he released Aries, his hand flying to his groin as he doubled over in pain.
"What is wrong with you?"
"Don’t tell me you truly wish to stick that huge thing up my ass?" Aries said, stuttering as he looked at Lucien warily.
"Where else would you have me stick it if not your ass?" Lucien replied plainly, still massaging his groin.
Then he looked at Aries and added, "And I’ll even get back at you for this."
"Eh... don’t play with me. I’m not interested in this," Aries said, his hands pushing at Lucien.
But Lucien wasn’t listening anymore. He walked toward Aries quickly, and Aries ran away from the spot.
"Just let me be!" Aries screamed as he ran around the room, with Lucien chasing after him, clearly intent on showing him exactly what he meant.
