True Alpha's Chosen Mate-Chapter 288: END
"Alright!" Reks planted his palm on the surface of the table. "It’s time for me to get my wife. They’d been here and Father needed to rest."
"No need for that." Cora, who was quiet all this time while watching everything unfold from the window, spoke. "It seems Teresa came prepared this time."
She chuckled because Teresa, Priscilla, and Sally returned from the market with their beloved husbands. Now, Teresa and Priscilla were dragging Elizabeth somewhere — probably in Teresa’s home as it was nearby — to dress her up.
"Goodness... until when will Vic continue living like this? She knew those two knew very well how to punish her without shedding blood," she mumbled, shaking her head mildly.
Cora peeled her eyes away from the window when Deimos heaved a sigh of relief and urged the children to come with him. Behind him were Sally and her brothers-in-law, heading to this restaurant owned by Cora and Garrett, where the Tempest clan decided to spend the holiday together.
"By the way, where are your boys?" Silas inquired as Reks sat back down on his seat, darting his eyes between Cora and Garrett. "You didn’t throw them out and told them to survive on their own, right?"
"I’m not that heartless." Garrett frowned, and it only grew worse when Tomas commented;
"Well, I don’t doubt that, but your wife is a wild one. Remember when she threw your boys from the mountaintop while yelling, ’have fun?’"
"Don’t question my parenting, Tom." Cora rolled her eyes, retracing her body from the wall she was leaning on. "That’s what you call tough love!"
"That’s not tough love, that’s what you call how to murder your own kids."
Garrett sighed. "They went hunting with Dan. They’ll be back soon."
"Grandpa is here~! Auntie Cora~!"
They turned their attention to the door when everyone barged into the entrance, welcoming them with a smile.

Meanwhile, somewhere deep in the woods that was surrounding Ronmin...
"Uncle! Are we going home now?!" a young boy inquired at his uncle, looking up at the man.
Daniel.
Despite the time that had passed, Daniel almost didn’t age at all. He still looked youthful and charming, which could make women swoon over him.
"We caught this. Your mother will scold us if we run late." He nodded while carrying a boar on his shoulder, ruffling the boy’s hair, which resembled his mother, Cora. Daniel then took a deep breath and shouted, which echoed in the woods.
"Toby! Let’s go back! You can’t help them anymore!"
While his voice echoed, Daniel faced the boys who came with him to hunt and smiled. "Let’s go?"
"What about big brother Toby?" asked the other boy as they were supposed to wait for their eldest cousin.
"It’s alright. He will follow us later." Daniel chuckled, knowing what was keeping Toby busy, that he hadn’t returned to their rendezvous point. Toby was surely helping the members of the mad wolf pack to look great. Those oldies were already desperate to find love after spending their youth rebuilding their homeland.
"Let’s go!" he beckoned, receiving a "yes, sir!" in unison before the little boys skipped steps, running past Daniel at lightning speed.
"Oh, youth..." he chuckled, seeing the boys run freely and quickly through the forest.
While Daniel marched leisurely through the forest lane, his eyes softened, as a subtle smile dominated his face. After a minute, he stopped and looked heavenward.
"It’s been thirty years, Hugh, Rinnie," came out a whisper, feeling a little sentimental as today was the thirtieth year since that night.
In today’s time, the wolves consider it a day of rest, which they called the day of the new dawn.
"I missed you both," he added, smiling subtly before hearing the boy’s voice calling him. He turned his head at the boys waving at him, causing his lips to stretch wide.
"Coming!" he resumed in his tracks, still feeling this yearning and gratefulness to his brother and his chosen mate.
The werewolves were far from achieving their goal. If anything, everyone was aware they were still starting. But, as long as they lived, they promised to preserve nature until the time was ripe when both the lamb and the wolf returned.
Until then... the wolves would live silently and peacefully deep in the forest.
— THE END —
Hello, guys! alienfrommars here!
First things first, I want to thank all of you for accompanying me on this journey! I started the True Alpha’s Chosen Mate with tons of fears, uncertainty, and doubt since this was my first werewolf novel. In fact, I didn’t have that much confidence at first and even told myself repeatedly, "I should just keep the draft for now."
Honestly, I even regretted posting the story because I was terrified that it might disappoint my readers. The anxiety only increased, but because of your support, I reached this far!
While writing this novel, I also learned a lot as a writer and as a person.
So, THANK YOU for being so supportive, for appreciating my work, and for not making me regret sharing this story with you guys!
I started this story with tons of negative emotion, but I’m ending it with a proud heart. I will forever cherish our time together with Hugo and Rinnie. You should join me for the second book of True Alpha’s Chosen Mate: SVEN.
The next Chapter will be the prologue.
Here’s the synopsis:
In a place reigned by vampires, there was no place for a werewolf like Sven. Captured by a vicious vampire to be submitted as a tribute to the King of Cross Kingdom, he was saved by the young miss of the House of Highmore, Callie Highmore.
Callie Highmore. The fifth daughter of the Duke of Southcross. Cunning, ambitious, and smoking hot.
Callie was known as the flower who bloomed in hell. With an ambition to fight for the title of the heir, Callie abducted her brother’s tribute to the king, who turned out to be a wild werewolf.
The wild wolf, Sven. Contrary to Callie’s restricted life, he was a devil-may-care type of person. Saved by a frustrated villainess named Callie, Sven found himself getting more tangled up with her in this madhouse filled with mad people.
They said opposite attracts. Would Callie and Sven prove that love conquers all? Can love between a vampire and werewolf possibly bloom when they both stood in the pits of hell?
