Chapter 129: Chapter 129 - Raw Power

Lucas stood in silence, his breath slow and measured, trying to grasp the magnitude of what these deities had just told him. The world was dying. The isekai world he had been thrown into was meant to merge with Earth. And somehow, he had become their "test case"—a mere experiment to see if humans from Earth could survive in a world of magic.

And now, they wanted him to play along. 𝕗𝐫𝐞𝕖𝕨𝐞𝗯𝚗𝕠𝘃𝐞𝚕.𝐜𝗼𝚖

His jaw tightened. "And what happens if I say no?"

The Goddess of Fertility’s expression didn’t waver. "Then Lena will be left to fend for herself."

Lucas felt his pulse spike. "What?"

"You heard me," she continued. "Your dear little sister, Lena—the one you love so much, the one you swore to protect—she is in danger, Lucas." She leaned forward slightly. "You and she were sent to the same world, yes, but fate is cruel. Now that you are separated, you have no idea what dangers she might face."

Lucas’s fists clenched so tightly his nails dug into his palms.

"Lena..." His voice was barely a whisper.

He had searched for her, of course he had. Ever since they were torn apart after their summoning, he had chased every lead, every rumor. But nothing. She had vanished, leaving him in a constant state of gnawing anxiety.

And now, these gods were telling him they knew where she was?

The God of Technology stretched lazily on his throne, smirking. "If you want her safe, Lucas, you’ll cooperate. We can ensure she receives divine protection. But only if you agree."

Lucas felt his chest tighten. "You’re blackmailing me."

"Blackmail is such a mortal word," the Goddess of Fertility mused. "Think of it as... an incentive."

Lucas bit back a curse. "And if I agree, what exactly do you want me to do?"

The deities exchanged knowing glances.

The God of Technology chuckled. "Oh, nothing too difficult. We just need you to continue doing what you’ve already been doing." He tilted his head. "Surviving. Growing stronger. Integrating into that world. But most importantly—gaining influence."

Lucas narrowed his eyes. "Influence?"

"Indeed," the Goddess of Fertility confirmed. "You must carve a path of authority. The more power and connections you amass, the more humanity’s presence will be secured when the merging inevitably occurs."

Lucas’s mind raced. This wasn’t just about survival anymore. They wanted him to become a major figure in the isekai world—a bridge between two realities.

And if he failed...

His stomach twisted.

Lena.

"You bastards," he muttered, shaking his head. "You really picked the most manipulative way to force my hand."

The Goddess of Fertility smirked. "It’s called divine efficiency, dear."

Lucas exhaled through his nose, forcing himself to focus. There was still something that didn’t make sense.

"Why me?" His voice came out sharper than he intended. "You’re gods. You have entire worlds at your disposal. Why choose some random guy like me?"

The room grew eerily quiet.

Then, the God of Technology burst into laughter.

Lucas stiffened.

"Oh, that’s the best part," the god said, his voice filled with amusement. "We didn’t actually choose you."

Lucas blinked. "What?"

The God of Technology’s grin widened. "You think you’re special? Sorry to burst your bubble, kid, but the selection process was entirely random. Just a roll of the dice. A cosmic gacha pull, if you will."

Lucas’s stomach dropped. "You’re joking."

"Nope." The God of Technology stretched. "Thousands of humans were chosen across the globe. Some were given powers, just like you. Some were even given divine systems. The only difference? Most of them never figured out how to reach the isekai world."

Lucas felt his blood run cold. "You mean... there are others?"

The Goddess of Fertility nodded. "Hundreds, perhaps thousands, of humans across Earth were granted powers. But many of them remained stuck, unable—or unwilling—to break through the dimensional barrier."

Lucas’s mind reeled. "Then why the hell do you need me?"

The God of Technology smirked. "Because, Lucas, you actually made it. You adapted. You survived. And you figured out how to use the system."

Lucas scoffed. "Barely."

"Oh, don’t be so modest." The God of Technology leaned forward, his tone brimming with mirth. "In fact, I’ve been meaning to talk to you about that."

Lucas frowned. "About what?"

The god chuckled. "Your system."

Lucas crossed his arms. "What about it?"

"Well, you see..." The God of Technology tapped his chin. "I designed the AI to adapt to its host, to shape itself around the user’s subconscious desires and strengths."

Lucas nodded. "And?"

The god grinned. "Imagine my surprise when your AI awakened as the Spin System... and focused almost entirely on sex-related skills."

Lucas froze.

A horrible silence stretched across the void.

"...Excuse me?" he finally managed to choke out.

The God of Technology burst into laughter. "I swear, it wasn’t intentional! The system was supposed to guide you toward power, survival, and influence. But you, my dear Lucas, somehow managed to make it revolve around seduction, charm, and—well—let’s just say your extracurricular activities."

Lucas felt heat rise to his face. "That—no! That can’t be right!"

"Oh, it’s very right," the god teased. "Honestly, it’s kind of impressive. Most people aim for sword mastery, magic dominance, or tactical genius. But you?" He whistled. "You built an entire combat philosophy around being an absolute degenerate."

Lucas groaned, running a hand down his face. "You’re telling me that out of all the possible abilities I could have awakened... I ended up with a goddamn playboy build?"

The Goddess of Fertility giggled. "It certainly fits your nature."

Lucas scowled. "It was supposed to be a survival system!"

"And what better way to survive than by charming your way out of trouble?" the God of Technology teased. "Face it, Lucas. You’re not a swordsman, you’re not a mage—you’re a walking, talking homewrecker."

Lucas exhaled sharply. "I hate everything about this."

The God of Technology grinned. "Too late now."

The Goddess of Fertility smirked. "Regardless, your abilities—however they manifested—make you uniquely suited to gain influence. You’ve already established yourself in that world, Lucas. Now, you simply need to expand."

Lucas’s thoughts were a whirlwind of frustration and reluctant acceptance. He wanted to argue, to fight back, but deep down, he knew they were right.

Lena needed him.

And no matter how ridiculous his situation was, he couldn’t afford to walk away.

"...Fine," he muttered.

The Goddess of Fertility smiled. "Good choice."

The God of Technology clapped his hands together. "Excellent! Now then, let’s talk upgrades." His grin widened. "Since you’ve been such a creative user, I think it’s only fair we add a few more features to your system..."

Lucas crossed his arms, his jaw tightening.

"I don’t think you understand," he said, his voice edged with frustration. "My system is gone. Solmara took it. I can’t use my abilities anymore."

The void trembled slightly, and—for the first time—the gods looked genuinely surprised.

The Goddess of Fertility tilted her head. "She took it?"

The God of Technology narrowed his eyes. "That shouldn’t be possible."

Lucas let out a humorless chuckle. "Yeah? Well, it happened."

The gods didn’t speak for a moment, processing his words.

But then, something strange happened.

Rather than panic or express concern, their surprise quickly faded.

The Goddess of Fertility leaned back, crossing her legs. "Unfortunate, but not a critical loss."

Lucas blinked. "Wait. You’re not freaking out about this?"

The God of Technology waved a hand dismissively. "It’s just your system that was taken, not our connection to you. We can still see you, track you, and most importantly—" his smirk returned— "we can still influence what happens to Lena."

Lucas’s stomach twisted. "Then what are you saying?"

The Goddess of Fertility exhaled. "We can no longer grant you divine protection, since Solmara has interfered. But Lena? She is still within our reach."

Lucas clenched his fists. "So she’s safe?"

The God of Technology chuckled. "Not quite. She’s still vulnerable. But we can make her stronger."

Lucas’s shoulders tensed. "You’re going to give her power?"

The Goddess of Fertility nodded. "If we can’t ensure her safety through divine intervention, then the only logical solution is to make her powerful enough to protect herself."

Lucas exhaled sharply. At least Lena wouldn’t be defenseless.

But that still left him with nothing.

He gritted his teeth. "And what about me? You just expect me to run around without any abilities?"

The God of Technology hummed thoughtfully. "That is a problem. But, lucky for you, there’s a simple solution."

Lucas narrowed his eyes. "Which is?"

The Goddess of Fertility’s lips curled into a sly smile. "Raw power."

Lucas frowned. "Raw power?"

The God of Technology snapped his fingers, and suddenly, the void shimmered with golden light. A pressure so dense that it made Lucas’s knees almost buckle filled the space around him.

"This is divine energy in its purest form," the God of Technology explained. "No quests, no experience points, no gradual growth—just raw, unfiltered power."

Lucas swallowed hard.

The Goddess of Fertility continued, "It will be granted to you instantly. However, there is a limit."

Lucas’s pulse quickened. "What’s the catch?"

The God of Technology smirked. "It only lasts for sixty days."

Lucas froze. "You’re serious?"

The Goddess of Fertility nodded. "You will have two months where you will be far beyond what you were before—faster, stronger, more resilient. But once that time runs out..."

"It’s gone," Lucas finished, his voice quiet.

The God of Technology grinned. "Correct. So, use it wisely."

Lucas exhaled sharply. Two months. That was all he had.

No quests. No grinding. No bullshit.

Just power.

He met their gazes. "Fine," he said. "Give it to me."

The deities exchanged knowing smiles.

"Then let’s begin."

And the void exploded with light.
