Three days later. Adonis Fun was waiting for Sawyer and his ’team’. He had told them to meet him at the diner but they were late already.

He had gotten some information about Murray and he was certain what he had was just a tip of the iceberg. There were still more to come.

Sawyer and his team finally arrived. They walked over to him where he was seated alone.

"You didn’t disappoint" one of the team said.

"Yes, I remember I told you that. But you have paid me back with a disappointment already. You’re ten minutes late" Adonis Fun stared at his wrist watch.

"Ten minutes? That’s insignificant. I’m sure all these have already checked out" Sawyer chuckled. He collected the file from Adonis Fun.

He checked it with the other members of the team. They murmured among themselves with smiles spreading all over their faces. They surely liked what they got.

They continued checking and checking until Adonis Fun got tired of waiting for them to be through with it.

"I have a place to be" Adonis Fun protested.

"Then go there, you are free" Sawyer laughed while feasting his eyes on the contents of the files.

"Of course, I will, once you pay up" he reminded him.

Sawyer brought an envelope and handed it to Adonis Fun.

He took it from him and brought out the cash wrapped in it. He started counting it.

"No need to count it, that’s thirty grand" Sawyer blurted out.

"It should be thirty five, right? Or am I missing something?" he questioned.

"No. It’s thirty. The six of them paid five grand each" he replied quickly.

"And you?" Adonis Fun asked him again.

"I’m not going to pay" he answered curtly.

"And why is that?" Adonis Fun chuckled. It seemed funny to him. This wasn’t the first time he would work with Sawyer. And he always paid for his services.

"You owed me a favor too. This cancels that" he laughed wildly

"Okay, that’s funny. It’s time to call off the joke" Adonis Fun couldn’t take it anymore. His voice had become tensed.

"This isn’t a joke" Sawyer was really serious. "I’m not going to pay you for this" he asserted.

"I need to stop working with you" Adonis Fun murmured and stood up. There was no point dragging that with him.

"I brought Murray’s case to you and I know how much you are going to make off it, not to talk of the promotion you have always wanted. And I’m very sure this is just a piece from what you have on Murray. So, buddy. I think you should be contented with that" Sawyer spoke at length before Adonis Fun could leave.

Adonis Fun nodded. There was nothing else to do than to let all their relationship come to an end. Amongst all things, breaching trust was one of the things that he hated the most.

The next at Fun Entertainment headquarters.

Adonis Fun walked confidently into the director’s office. He had a file in his hand.

The director stared at him from the moment he made it into the office till he got to his desk.

"Good morning, sir" Adonis Fun greeted and sat down without being offer a seat.

"I must say, you look happier than Adonis Fun" the director joked.

"Actually, I have gotten a lot of reasons to be happy lately" he paused and smiled. "Like the promotion I’m going to get soon" he added.

The director was quiet for some moments. He was definitely surprised by Adonis Fun’s confidence and effrontery.

"The issue of promotion is not something that is easily decided and the staff to be promoted are not always aware until it happens" the director explained awkwardly.

"Actually, you are the one that told me, I will be promoted soon" he laughed.

"I can’t remember that, anyway" the director shook his head and rested his back on his chair.

"This might bring back memories" Adonis Fun threw the file he was holding on the table.

The director grabbed it and flipped it open. He kept looking through it.

Suddenly, he paused and placed it back on the table.

"I understand you now. But this is a very delicate issue that you need to be careful with. Don’t bring down this establishment just because you want to be promoted" he slammed his desk.

"We are not going to be the first to write about him if that is what you are insinuating. Apparently, we will be the eighth, seven newspapers will have his name in production in the next few hours" he said to calm the director. 𝐟𝕣𝗲𝕖𝕨𝗲𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝗲𝚕.𝗰𝚘𝐦

"Murray is a man with lot of fans. That’s like going headlong into a battle with all of them" he kept complaining

"Actually, boss. I have considered everything you are pointing out and all the things that you will point out. I have concluded this is the right time to skyrocket the number of our readers" he scoffed.

The director started looking through the file again. Fear was visible on his face.

"You just have to look at the bright side, director. Imagine all the things we will gain from this" he persuaded him.

"All the things we will gain if, we succeed" he pointed out. "But whatever happens when it goes sideways, it is not your burden to bear" he fumed.

"Are you saying I am not loyal to this company? Do you know what I am called by others? They call me Adonis Fun" he stated

"You are called that because you are working here currently. If you join starlight tomorrow. They will call you Adonis Starlight" the director proved him wrong.

"Anyway, this is going to be successful. I’m certain. Just promise that if it is, I will get that promised promotion" he requested for a promise.

"If this story brings about the change that we want and it surpasses the outstanding record, you will have no reason not to get promoted" he assured him.

"I think the story should be put into production process right now" Adonis Fun said hastily.
