Unscented-Chapter 1227 - 1169 pretending
He just wanted to have a better negotiation process.
Mr. Lynn pretended to look through the file.
Of course, when he saw the names of other entertainers, his eyes lit up.
Mr. Lynn acted as if he wanted to bring some of his favorite entertainers to play the movie role.
He also knew that the insiders would not agree to some of the entertainers available.
The cost of each movie was fixed, and the price of each main character didn’t fluctuate too much from the original price planned when bargaining.
So he didn’t have a choice as such. He gave the names of the three people he was interested in.
"I want to know the price of these three people. If it is feasible, I will choose from these three people!" Mr Lynn said to Melissa, pointing at a few names.
"But I also hope you can understand that the current market condition is not good, so we can’t afford too high a price,’’ he added.
Melissa nodded to show her understanding. After she told him the price, Mr Lynn pretended to frown. But, he had already figured it out in her heart.
This price should be negotiated with the producer and there should be no problem, but Mr Lynn couldn’t make a decision directly.
"Is this your final price? If so, I have to go back and discuss with the producer!" He said.
Melissa didn’t say anything. The assistant next to her responded to Mr Lynn instead.
"Of course the price can be negotiated, but the negotiation premise is that other entertainers from our company also participate in the performance of the movie, and the length of each actress’s participation will determine the final price,’’ the assistant said on behalf of Melissa.
The assistant’s words were very clear.
What they needed was a supporting role. No matter which supporting role it was, as long as the supporting role could have a certain opportunity to show up in the process of the performance and the lines.
This was what they needed, so the assistant put another file in Mr In Lynn’s hand.
These were the newcomers. Mr Lynn flipped through the file casually. In fact, he didn’t care who he would use as long as she didn’t play a major supporting role.
As long as she could express what the movie plot wanted to express.
Therefore, looking at this, Mr Lynn knew what Melissa meant.
This method was very common in the industry, so whether the producer would agree or not, Mr Lynn pretended to be confident.
"If these people are used, how much can your main actors lower the price for me? This is very crucial!" Mr Lynn asked.
"I don’t think we need to talk about the price of these supporting roles. According to the normal market conditions, it’s good that they have the chance to show up!" Melissa replied vaguely.
Mr. Lynn had to show her attitude, otherwise he would have to pay for the supporting role in the final negotiation, which was against the whole cost management plan of the producer.
It was not until Melissa discussed with her assistant that she offered the price. Of course, the price had been settled before, but it was the way of business negotiation.
If one of them sat on a price stubbornly, this might be the bottom line.
Melissa and her assistant discussed and then said the price, hoping that it was good enough for Mr. Lynn.
When the assistant said the price, Mr Lynn nodded, but his expression didn’t change.
In fact, he had completely accepted the price in his heart.
It was much less than the price the film producer had told him.
"I will go to other companies. I hope you can think it over. How does this price match our needs?" Mr Lynn said in pretense.
"I think highly of the entertainers in your company, but there are some things that are not decided by my will. I can only offer advice,’’ he added.
Melissa knew that she had expressed her stand just now
Of course, she needed to show her attitude, even though she was eager to give these actors a job.
But it didn’t mean that any movie or variety show could squeeze them.
Even if they made concessions, there was a bottom line. For example, the price Melissa offered was the bottom line.
Even if she gave in, she wouldn’t give in too much.
"What’s the performance of our entertainers? It is well-known in the industry,’’ Melissa replied.
‘ ‘’You came here because we are reliable. The entertainment circle is facing difficulties, but it won’t be forever,’’ she added.
"So how should we cooperate to reach an agreement? We have shown our sincerity,’’ she asked.
If the two sides still wanted to cooperate in the future, it depended on the preliminary cooperation intention.
Although Mr Lynn was representing the producer now, he might have to look for entertainers for other movies in the future. By that time, he would have to cooperate with Melissa’s company again.
If a movie was to make profit in the end, it must not only be the script, but also the director. The last key point was the actors.
But now, Melissa showing her sincerity to Mr Lynn’s work, left a better chance for her to present. She took a look at Mr Lynn, and acted as if she had made a final decision.
What’s more, if the two sides were to cooperate in the future, Mr Lynn also needed to think about it.
Mr. Lynn nodded politely before leaving.
Then Melissa met the producer of the variety show again. There was no difference in her attitude.
She still treated the producer of the variety show the same way she treated Mr Lynn, showing her sincerity and making a concession.
Because Melissa knew that if she didn’t express her attitude first, these people would probably look for other companies as long as she insisted on her interest.
But now, she couldn’t hold on any longer.
"Our company has shown our best sincerity and is ready to cooperate with other companies and film actors. At present, we have entertainers with spare time to handle these vacant roles, but I doubt if they would be available in the future,’’ Melissa said to the producer.
The producer of the variety show knew what Melissa was talking about in general.
The negotiation between the two sides was actually a show of pretense. The producer was testing the bottom line of Melissa’s mentality.
They were also testing what kind of entertainer they could get, and whether it could improve the quality of their show.
This psychological probing of both sides determined the price of the entertainers that would be chosen eventually and the time of their appearance in this program.
