Chapter 522: Chapter 522: Becoming a Prisoner of Others

Xiang Yu lay in ambush, when suddenly he spotted someone approaching. This person had an average height, a slightly plump figure, and a sleazy look about his face—it couldn’t have been anyone but Zhao Wen.

Zhao Wen had been the former head of Zhong Huashan’s personal bodyguard team. If it hadn’t been for the emergence of Xiang Yu and Luo Lin, he might have been made permanent.

Zhao Wen was spotted there, head high, acting as if he was directing an empire. He was obviously bragging.

Xiang Yu just quietly watched from a distance, pondering whether, in his absence, the overnight guards had all been changed.

Xiang Yu thought about going over to ask what was going on, but then he remembered that Zhao Wen’s loyalties were currently unknown. If Zhao Wen were an enemy, approaching him would be tantamount to suicide.

Xiang Yu had no interest in listening to Zhao Wen’s nonsense. If the brothers on duty tonight were arranged by him, then the previous plan would certainly be unchanged.

The plan for the night guard was the simplest one; it was carelessly designed by Xiang Yu. With Zhao Wen’s pig-like brain, it was impossible for him to come up with something better.

Xiang Yu lurked around the perimeter of the villa, then found a weak spot in the defense and slipped in. To verify if today’s guard was the same scheme as before, Xiang Yu picked up a small stone and threw it towards a hidden spot.

In the darkness, there was a yelp, followed by someone emerging from within.

"Who the hell hit me?" the person roared angrily.

"Shut up and hide, you’re on sentry duty," another person who was in an exposed position said.

The man was cursing under his breath as he hid again.

Seeing this scene from his hiding place, Xiang Yu snickered to himself. He could easily guess the plan with his eyes closed, knowing where someone was and where it was safe.

Of course, Xiang Yu wouldn’t be overconfident; he still cautiously made his way toward the boss’s villa. He was very familiar with the place, which made it convenient to remain concealed.

Xiang Yu silently approached the bottom of Zhong Huashan’s villa and saw that many people were stashed around it, both in plain sight and hidden. Although it seemed quiet on the surface, lethal intentions were concealed.

Considering the personnel deployment, it should not have been arranged by Zhao Wen. Zhao Wen was a straw bag; he would never manage to assemble such a lineup.

Moreover, judging by the surroundings, it looked more like they were preventing someone inside from escaping rather than protecting them.

In front of the villa’s main entrance, two people were leaning lazily against the wall, smoking. It appeared that they were idling around, but Xiang Yu knew they were on guard.

Entering from the main entrance was no longer an option. Xiang Yu circled stealthily to the back of the villa. There were only two windows in the rear, both on the second floor.

The height would be unreachable for most people without tools. Xiang Yu observed the area carefully and noticed the defense in the back was not very tight—it was quite lax, in fact.

There was only one person sitting under a tree in the back, who was evidently exhausted and dozing off.

Xiang Yu didn’t dare to be careless; he could only hope the person would fall into a deep sleep before he made a move. But after waiting for twenty minutes, the person was still in the same state.

Xiang Yu circled to the man’s side, intending to knock him out directly. Just then, the man suddenly stood up, stretched, and walked towards a nearby flowerbed.

He looked around and then started unbuckling his pants.

Seeing his chance, Xiang Yu swiftly burst out from hiding and dashed toward the villa. The second floor was high, but Xiang Yu, with his practiced climbing skills, found the height manageable.

Xiang Yu took a running start, pushed forcefully off the wall with his right foot, and grabbed the edge of the window with his hand. His body sprang up like a coiled spring.

The window on the second floor was open, which Xiang Yu had already observed; he jumped right in. The whole process took only a few seconds.

If there had been a second person to see Xiang Yu’s actions, they would have been shocked, as it was hardly human. More like a leopard.

The man who was urinating there heard some noise behind him, but when he turned around, he saw nothing. Then he cursed himself for being paranoid and continued urinating.

The room Xiang Yu had entered was the bathroom, where he silently observed the outside situation after his arrival.

It wasn’t until he saw that the man from before had sat down under the tree again that he felt relieved. Hiding in the bathroom, Xiang Yu slowly opened a door, wanting to see what the situation outside was really like.

Just then, he heard footsteps inside the room and quickly closed it again.

"When can I finally go out, Dad? I’m nearly going crazy," a sweet voice complained.

Xiang Yu could tell that the person speaking was none other than Zhong Qin.

"Be patient, my child. It’s not safe outside right now, but you’ll be able to go out soon," Zhong Huashan consoled her.

"You’re lying to me. It’s been so many days, why can’t I go out? If Xiang Yu were here, he would definitely take me out to have fun," Zhong Qin complained.

At the mention of Xiang Yu, Zhong Huashan also sighed quietly, then sat down beside Zhong Qin and said, "Do you trust him that much?"

"Of course, with him by my side, I always feel especially safe. No one dares to bully me; he will protect me," Zhong Qin said, full of longing.

Zhong Huashan nodded as if talking to himself, "I’m also waiting for him."

Xiang Yu was hiding in the bathroom, and seeing that it was time to come out, he stood up, intending to leave. At that moment, a burst of boisterous laughter suddenly came in from outside.

The laughter was insane, unrestrained, and arrogant.

"Ding Yongwei," Xiang Yu muttered in hiding.

Ding Yongwei entered without knocking, walking in with a swagger.

"Boss, you’re still counting on that bastard Xiang Yu to come save you? Stop dreaming. Not only does he not know where to go now, but even if he did, do you think he could come back and rescue you? I’ve set up an inescapable trap outside. The moment he shows his face, my men will immediately alert me, and I’ll take care of him," Ding Yongwei bragged crazily. He used to have some respect for Zhong Huashan, but now Zhong Huashan was nothing but a prisoner in his eyes.

"Yongwei, let’s step outside to talk," Zhong Huashan suggested, attempting to pull Ding Yongwei outside with him.

However, Ding Yongwei forcefully broke away and looked at Zhong Huashan, "What’s the matter, Boss? Ashamed? Afraid of losing face in front of the young lady?"

Zhong Huashan didn’t want Zhong Qing to get involved in these matters, which is why he had never told her that they were currently under the control of Ding Yongwei, with no personal freedom, not even able to make a phone call out.

"This is my room, please leave right now," Zhong Qin suddenly stood up and pointed towards the door.

"Let me tell you, Missy, you can’t talk to me like that anymore. You need to learn to be gentle, understand?" Ding Yongwei finished speaking and then pinched Zhong Qin’s chin.

"Yongwei, don’t go too far," Zhong Huashan suddenly stood up and said.

Zhong Huashan might have always seemed indifferent to others, but when it came to Zhong Qin, there was no need to say...
