Chapter 597: Chapter 597 This Is Just a Bunch of Bandits

Xiang Yu and the others were all ready and then prepared to leave. When they passed through the first-floor lobby, a familiar figure stood up from within the lobby.

After seeing this, Tie Zhuzi and others quickly headed out, while Xiang Yu approached with a grin and asked, "What are you doing here?"

It was now past three in the morning, by which time everyone should have been asleep.

"Be careful."

The speaker was Long Wu. Considering her weary look, she must have stayed up all night waiting here. She had anticipated Xiang Yu’s action today but didn’t expect him to set off only now.

Xiang Yu responded with a smirk and a playful laugh, "You care about me that much, huh?"

Long Wu glared at Xiang Yu and snapped fiercely, "I’m worried about the chaos that’ll ensue in the group if you die and we’re without a chairman."

Hearing Long Wu’s ’nasty’ words, Xiang Yu was not angry; instead, he lifted her chin with his hand and said, "Smile for me."

Long Wu’s face turned cold and she kicked out at Xiang Yu, intending to send him flying. Xiang Yu quickly dodged backward with a laugh, then said goodbye and walked outside.

Usually, Xiang Yu wouldn’t dare to tease Long Wu, but ever since she became the finance director, both her personal charm and her attire had undergone a significant transformation.

Long Wu was already devilishly attractive in terms of face and figure, and now, dressed up, she was simply irresistible, especially to a rogue like Xiang Yu.

Moreover, Long Wu now frequently smiled, abandoning her formerly unchanging icy demeanor, which was much more pleasant to behold.

Standing at a distance, Long Wu watched Xiang Yu leave and couldn’t help but burst into laughter, presenting a scene reminiscent of spring’s warmth and blossoming flowers.

As Xiang Yu walked away with his head held high and chest puffed out, something in her heart suddenly twitched. She was aware of the dangers in what Xiang Yu was doing and, although she couldn’t stop him, her heart was always full of concern for him.

She had sat there waiting for so long today just to tell Xiang Yu to be cautious, as this made her feel more at ease.

After standing for a while longer, Long Wu then went upstairs to rest.

Xiang Yu and the others took a relatively large business vehicle, with Tie Zhuzi driving. Just as they got into the car, Tie Zhuzi turned to Xiang Yu and said, "Bro Yu, I watched the news yesterday and heard about a guy named Su Yongzhen becoming the new Car God. I wonder if they’re talking about that kid."

"You still watch the news, huh?" Wu Jing said with a laugh.

The others all chuckled, and Tie Zhuzi candidly replied, "I heard it by chance while looking for art films."

Xiang Yu also laughed and said, "We’ll have to check this kid out when we have time, no idea how he’s been doing recently."

The group casually chatted about inconsequential things in the car, then arrived at a parking lot in a plaza filled with various types of cars. Tie Zhuzi parked the car by the road, flashed the headlights thrice, then drove towards the front.

At that moment, car lights in the parking lot began to turn on and then followed Tie Zhuzi’s vehicle. The convoy was massive, with no less than twenty cars. These people made up the small squad that had just completed training with Wu Jing, and Xiang Yu had named them the Sky Dragon Squad.

The streets were almost empty except for their vehicles, and from a higher vantage point, the entire convoy was quite a spectacle. The twenty vehicles could form patterns, either an S shape or a B shape.

Xiang Yu led them all the way to the abandoned steel factory in the south. Worried about a possible ambush inside, he instructed half of the brothers to get off and follow him in, while the other half stood guard outside, ready to react to any unexpected situation.

The interior of the abandoned steel factory was vast, with eight people standing in the middle, in front of whom were two large boxes. Inside were the goods that Xiang Yu had come for.

"Hold on," one of the men from the other side stepped forward and said with a stern face, "Who are you guys?" He was followed by seven others armed with submachine guns, standing at the ready, looking formidable.

Xiang Yu took a step forward and said to the other party, "We’ve come looking for Zhang Dongxu."

"Hmph! Brother Zhang isn’t someone you can see just because you want to," the man snorted coldly, clearly not taking Xiang Yu and his group seriously.

Xiang Yu also snorted internally, finding this Zhang Dongxu quite interesting, apparently wanting to put on airs and intimidate Xiang Yu. But since Xiang Yu was there to ask for their weapons for free, giving them some face was the proper thing to do.

Stepping forward two paces, Xiang Yu chuckled and said, "Please let your brothers know, just say Xiang Yu has come to collect the goods."

The man in front scoffed again, "Brother Zhang is busy and couldn’t make it today, so he asked me to come. You must be that Xiang Yu, right? Did you bring the money?"

Tie Zhuzi, seeing that this kid had such a punchable face, immediately wanted to charge over, but then the other seven hastily pointed their submachine guns at Tie Zhuzi.

Seeing the other party becoming more and more presumptuous, Xiang Yu pointed at the guy in front and said, "Stop pretending. If you’re not going to show respect when it’s offered, then get Zhang Dongxu out here now."

"You..." The man didn’t expect that Xiang Yu would turn on him that quickly, much faster than flipping through a book.

"What’s this ’you’ about? Is he not here or what?" Xiang Yu said impatiently.

"He’s not here," the man replied straightforwardly.

"Alright then, if he’s not here, he’s not here," Xiang Yu said, then turned to his brothers behind him and instructed, "Guys, let’s move the stuff out. Those two boxes are ours now."

The brothers from the Dragon Team could hardly wait; they all wanted to get their hands on their own daggers and pistols, so a swarm of them rushed forward.

The eight men from Zhang Dongxu’s side were somewhat stunned. What was happening? They hadn’t agreed to hand it over yet, and now these guys were already grabbing the stuff.

"Don’t move, anybody who dares come closer, I won’t be polite," the man in front threatened, brandishing his submachine gun with a fierce look.

At that moment, Tie Zhuzi stepped out from the crowd, walking up to the man with a swagger. He snatched the submachine gun right out of the man’s hand and then grinned, "Nice gun, I’ll take it."

The other brothers laughed and then carried the two large boxes away. Those who hadn’t gotten a chance to lay their hands on the goods simply ran up to the seven men and dodged their submachine guns.

The group had been instructed to deliver weapons to Xiang Yu and take the opportunity to give him a hard time, but it seemed that they had delivered the weapons and ended up being the ones hassled instead.

Some of the Dragon Team brothers, who had come away empty-handed, simply ran up to the seven men and started frisking them. Some took their watches, and a group even stripped them of their clothes.

Being outnumbered, the other party was no match for Xiang Yu and his men. Furthermore, they stood frozen, fearful of getting beaten. As for Xiang Yu, he simply coughed and turned a blind eye...
