Chapter 669: Chapter 669: Long Wu Returns to the Cold Beauty

Sun Bo saw that several people were there before he sat down across from Xiang Yu and took a deep breath, "Yu, I need to report something to you."

Seeing that Sun Bo seemed anxious, Xiang Yu poured him a glass of water and said, "Don’t rush, take your time."

After calming his emotions, Sun Bo began, "Haoran Group operates in many areas that coincide with ours; they’re our competitors. We’re currently working on building a large hospital and have already chosen a location. They have their eye on that same spot, so there are some conflicts with us. I initially wanted to reconcile with them, but they sent people to cause trouble and even threatened to wipe us out if we don’t give up."

Tie Zhuzi, who was drinking water on the side, spurted out a mouthful upon hearing someone wanted to wipe them out. They were as black as the black society could be, and yet someone had the nerve to come and cause them trouble – it was a death wish.

"What background do they have?" Xiang Yu asked.

After all, Xiang Yu didn’t understand the intricacies of the commercial world. He couldn’t just take rash actions; he always believed in not fighting unprepared battles, and he never underestimated his opponents, no matter how weak they might seem.

"I’ve already looked into it," Sun Bo said. "The chairman behind Haoran Group is named Dong Ze, who used to be mixed up in the underworld. He’s gradually faded from the public eye now, and we can’t find out his exact background."

As Sun Bo was reporting the problem to Xiang Yu, his phone suddenly rang.

"What is it?" Sun Bo asked directly.

"Six people just stormed into the CFO’s office in a very aggressive manner, and we couldn’t stop them," the person on the other end said.

Sun Bo responded with a "Got it" and then hung up the phone.

Everyone present heard it – the CFO’s office was where Long Wu worked.

"Damn it, I’ll go take a look," Tie Zhuzi said as he stood up furiously.

Wang Ze also quickly stood up, looking at Xiang Yu and waiting for his orders.

Xiang Yu, however, appeared even more composed. In critical moments, he couldn’t afford to lose his composure, for all they knew, the enemy might just be trying to force him into the open.

"None of you should show yourselves. Wang Ze, go find a few brothers from the Heavenly Dragon Squad, and have them head over. Tell them not to reveal their identities," Xiang Yu instructed.

Wang Ze acknowledged the order and then took out his phone to make the call.

After Sun Bo finished reporting the situation, he hurried off. The other side had already made their move, and they needed to take effective measures quickly.

"Brother, what are we afraid of? Even if outsiders know that Yutian Group is related to us, what can they do? Who would dare to touch us?" Tie Zhuzi complained discontentedly.

Now he felt stifled. Yutian Group was clearly under their control, but they couldn’t tell outsiders.

"In the underworld, the most important thing is not to take yourself too seriously, and also not to look down on your opponents. Many big forces can collapse overnight. If we disregard our relationship with Yutian Group, should we encounter danger one day, it wouldn’t involve Yutian Group," Xiang Yu explained patiently and seriously.

After listening, Tie Zhuzi quickly nodded his head; he understood this reasoning. But it still left him feeling uneasy – they were already very powerful, was there someone who could still destroy them?

After Wang Ze had given all his instructions, he still felt somewhat uneasy. That’s why he turned to Xiang Yu and said, "Boss, I’m going to check out the scene."

Xiang Yu nodded and instructed, "Go, but remember not to reveal yourself."

Wang Ze responded and then walked away directly.

Xiao Xuan informed Xiang Yu and also left, his current task was to locate Zhang Dongxu and ensure his safety.

At the Haoran Group headquarters building, Long Wu was busily engaged with her work when she suddenly heard a commotion outside. Her train of thought interrupted, she walked out of her office.

Just in time to see six burly men making a loud ruckus in the main office, where most of the finance department staff were women. Naturally hesitant to engage physically, they were arguing with the group.

"What’s going on?" Long Wu, dressed in standard professional attire, stepped forward and asked.

"Director Long, they’re making unreasonable disturbances," reported one of the female employees who ran over, clearly never having faced such a situation before.

Long Wu, however, appeared much calmer. She used to be involved with the underworld and was no stranger to such scenes. The time she helped Xiang Yu take down Yan Bin was particularly explosive.

The six strong men lit up when they saw Long Wu, their gaze sweeping over her body.

Long Wu, naturally beautiful and exuding a noble aura from her time at work, made it nearly impossible for people not to be moved upon seeing her.

"You’re the one in charge here?" a man stepped forward, squinting lecherously at Long Wu.

This man was not tall, barely reaching 1.7 meters, looking like a stump, he had to look up at Long Wu.

Long Wu, annoyed by the sight of them, knew they were troublemakers with no good intentions. Frowning, she commanded, "Get lost."

In the main office, surrounded by female employees who all kept their distance, having never witnessed such an incident they admired Long Wu’s defiance.

As women, they felt the difference between themselves and Long Wu was like heaven and earth.

The short-statured man had initially hoped Long Wu would speak to them gently, so they could take the opportunity to threaten her, and maybe even engage in some activities in the evening—what a delightful prospect that would be.

Surprised by Long Wu’s attitude, the men soon started to laugh. The short-statured man laughed heartily and then said to Long Wu, "Sister, do you know who we are? Just say a kind word, and we, brothers, will leave right away. We can discuss the rest tonight."

After speaking, the short-statured man looked at his companions, exchanging lecherous glances and then laughing raucously.

"Get lost!" Long Wu didn’t want to waste words on this lowlife and blurted out the command, stopping the laughing men in their tracks. They had come to cause trouble, after all, and despite Long Wu’s attractiveness, they couldn’t let it slide.

"I’m giving you friendly advice here; don’t be ungrateful, or we’ll take you down right now," the short-statured man threatened Long Wu ominously.

Since kindness had failed, it was time for threats. Most women would be terrified and capitulate at this point— a trick that never grew old for them.

But to their surprise, Long Wu’s expression grew colder, with no sign of fear.

At that moment, some female employees hurried over, standing fearfully in front of Long Wu and saying, "Director Long, maybe we should listen to what they want first?"

"Yeah, let’s find out what this is about to avoid any misunderstanding," another suggested.

Long Wu pushed the women aside and, facing the short-statured man, said, "If you leave now, I can pretend nothing happened."
