"Humanity has evolved over time and created many new ways to survive the coldness of space and the void," explained Blake. "The majority of humanity remains on cryogenic sleep, and they will soon wake up in the new, terraformed planet we'll arrive on less than three days."

"L-less than three days you said…" muttered the general.

"I see…" Refusio nodded. "If that's the case, this world must be going through the same things it did back then, huh? Even the Xenoid Invasion?"

"That, I don't know," said Blake. "But I'm sure someone else does."

He glanced at the Mother Core, who nodded.

"Yes, the Xenoids must arrive within this world in just a couple of hours, this entire world is replaying the Records of Humanity and the entire planet," explained the Mother Core. "Why? I have little idea why, but I believe the humans that designed wanted a new chance. Perhaps a second chance at appreciating their planet and protecting it from a threat they wouldn't have been able to fight back them. However, this world resets every time the Xenoids arrive and destroys everything. Meaning that all Digital Lifeforms within it will be deleted and replaced with perfect copies, except Players, who are not aware of the changes."

"S-So we are all going to disappear anyways…" the captain muttered.

"No, not if I stop it," she said. "Once the Xenoids appear in half an hour from now, I and Blake will personally take them all down."

"O-Only you?!" the general asked. "Please let us help as well! Even if we could be of little help at all…"

"But why though?" Refusio asked, as he sighed, looking calmer, although also sorrowful of learning the truth of his own existence. "Why would you go so far as to save us? If we are truly only Data… then there's little point in actually caring about us, even less us, the people that attacked you and treated you harshly just moments ago."

"R-Refusio!" the captain panicked at the same time as the general, they didn't want him to ruin their opportunity to survive.

However, it wasn't as if he was wrong, deep down, they also understood what he meant, and also felt guilty for this.

They didn't want to disappear or die though, but learning that you're nothing but a clump of data, not a living being or something else…

It made them quite depressed.

From the point of view of those that were truly real, wouldn't save them be just a waste of time and efforts?

"I understand what you mean…" nodded the Mother Core Spirit. "And I know that it might seem pointless, or simply… nonsensical. I know. Before this happened, I would've probably agreed with your words. But now…"

She glanced back at Blake, as the young man noticed her eyes, they had changed. Aurora seemed to have learned a lot from him, more than he could have ever imagined.

"I think I've realized that sometimes, even if nonsensical, there are things we love and appreciate," she explained. "It's a strange feeling, isn't it? To want to do something that has no meaning or point in the great scheme of things, but that, nonetheless, it is meaningful to you."

Refusio's eyes widened as he glanced at the goddess, realizing what she truly meant with her words, and her actual goal in all of this.

"Despite all your sins, you're still living beings within this world," she said. "And you don't deserve to disappear. Humanity can improve, they can learn, and do better… I want to believe in you."

"Goddess…" Refusio fell to his knees, crying. "I guess… the only thing I can say is thank you."

"It is fine, there's no need for you to cry, child," said Aurora with her gentle smile. "For now, let's move towards your base. I must first communicate the truth with as many people as possible."

"But why? wouldn't it better if they don't know?" asked the captain. "I am not sure everyone would believe you even if you showed up as you are right now…"

"I know, and it doesn't matter," she said. "Even if they don't believe me, I must communicate the truth. They can do whatever they want with the information, believe it or not, it is not my problem."

"I guess we're going to Nexus Corporations," said Blake with a smile. "I want to talk with them too, so they could offer me more robots and pilots. You see…"

Blake explained to them the power that the Goddess had, to temporarily summon Digital Beings within the Virtual Reality world inside of her Soul into reality.

This way, it would be possible to summon many allies to help defend the True Humanity. Something that made Refusio and the rest regain some of their purposes in life.

"I-Is that thing possible?" Refusio asked. "I will gladly help, in anything I can!"

"Me too, I suppose… this whole fleet," said the captain.

"After you healed the crew and even revived some, I guess we can't really say anything against that request," nodded the general.

In the meantime they moved to the Nexus Corporations building, Aurora had revived those that died, and also healed those that were wounded, the process was instant and almost otherworldly to them.

Any wound they received would simply become covered by blue and white pixels, rewritten, and then completely healed in mere seconds.

It wasn't something that was just miraculous, it was simply an impossible thing made real… Once they saw this, many people began to believe that this world was a Virtual Reality.

Even more when they saw those that died appear once more, as if nothing.

"H-How were you able to revive them so easily?" wondered the captain.

"It's simple," she said. "Even when they die, their data and records remain, I weave them back into form, effectively recreating a copy of their dead bodies before they died, where all data and records, including their minds and memories, are injected again."

"So you don't even need to see our biology or reamend our flesh or something… it's all just data, no matter how soft it could be felt, or how hard as steel it is, it's all data…" Refusio nodded. "Then even defeating an impossible threat like the Xenoids won't be hard."

The past was about to change.
