Villain MMORPG: Almighty Devil Emperor and His Seven Demonic Wives-Chapter 888 Irresistible
Villain Ch 888. Irresistible
Allen walked down the corridor. The soft hum of the ventilation system was the only sound accompanying his footsteps. Suddenly, he heard a rapid series of footsteps behind him. They were too fast for walking but not quite running, a hurried yet controlled pace. Allen's heart skipped a beat, and he stopped in his tracks, turning swiftly to see who was following him.
He half-expected to see Emma or Azura. Instead, it was Kai who came into view. The sight of Kai was both a relief and a surprise. Allen couldn't help but wonder if Emma had decided to let him go or if Kai had somehow managed to free himself from her grasp.
"What is it, Kai?" Allen asked, his voice calm but with a hint of curiosity. Kai stopped in front of him, his usually composed demeanor showing a slight trace of urgency.
"Have you had lunch, sir?" Kai asked, his tone respectful yet insistent.
Allen blinked, momentarily thrown off by the mundane nature of the question. "I haven't. I was just about to ask a servant to bring it for me," he replied casually, brushing off the concern.
Kai's expression remained serious. "What should I bring you, sir? You've missed lunchtime. Miss Emma and Azura have eaten too," he stated, his eyes reflecting a hint of worry. Experience tales at novelbuddy
Allen hummed briefly, his thoughts drifting to the idea of a simple grilled chicken with herb seasoning and vegetables. It was a familiar dish, one he often prepared for himself back when he lived alone in his apartment.
But as the present moment settled back in, he considered the effort it would take to make such a request. It seemed unnecessary to bother Kai or any of the other servants with a special order. After all, they were already busy managing the day-to-day affairs of the household.
"What are they having today?" Allen asked, deciding to go with whatever was on the menu.
Kai listed the day's offerings without missing a beat. "Grilled salmon with lemon and herbs, chopped kale salad with toasted breadcrumbs, sugar snap pea salad, grilled asparagus, and roasted broccoli," he explained.
Allen's mouth watered at the description. He had always had a soft spot for well-prepared salmon. "I'll take those, except for the sugar snap pea salad. Just make it a personal portion," he said, a hint of appreciation in his voice.
Kai nodded, acknowledging the order with his usual professionalism. "I will take it to your room, sir," he said before turning on his heel and heading towards the kitchen.
Despite Kai leaving, Allen remained rooted to his spot. He watched Kai's retreating figure, the sound of footsteps fading into the distance. The corridor was still and silent, but he knew he wasn't alone.
"You can get out now," Allen said, his voice cutting through the quiet. "If you want to talk to me, then speak. Don't act like a stalker," he added with a huff, his tone tinged with both amusement and exasperation.
From behind the wall, Emma emerged, her face a captivating blend of emotions. Annoyance flashed in her eyes, her lips forming a pout, while a faint blush tinged her cheeks. Allen's brotherly instincts kicked in, and he felt a familiar urge to tease her. However, he held back, remembering the recent tension in the living room. He didn't want to push her buttons too much, especially not now.
"That's not fair," Emma said suddenly, breaking the silence. Her voice was a mix of frustration and a hint of hurt.
Allen frowned, his brow furrowing in genuine confusion. "Not fair for what?" he asked, his voice low and even, trying to grasp the source of Emma's irritation.
Emma's pout deepened, and her cheeks flushed a brighter shade of pink. "You did that and slipped away just like that," she said, her tone a mix of annoyance and embarrassment.
Allen stared at her, the pieces of the puzzle slowly falling into place in his mind. 'Wait… she's annoyed because I slipped away just like that?' he thought, a hint of amusement flickering in his eyes. He pressed his lips together, trying to hold back the words 'How cute' that almost escaped his mouth.
He took a deep breath, trying to gauge her emotions. Emma had always been a complex mix of pride and vulnerability, and this moment was no different. "I didn't mean to upset you," Allen said softly, his voice sincere. "I just thought you and Azura would want some time to enjoy the pastries without me hovering around."
Emma's eyes flashed with a mix of emotions—frustration, embarrassment, and a hint of something else Allen couldn't quite place. "It's not that," she said, her voice softer now. "I just… I felt like you were treating us like children."
Allen's frown deepened, but this time it was out of concern rather than confusion. "I didn't mean to," he said gently.
Emma huffed and glared at Allen, her eyes blazing with determination. "You know... I will make you repay for everything you do," she said, her voice carrying a menacing tone that was almost comical coming from her. The intensity of her expression contrasted sharply with the typically serene aura she maintained, making the moment all the more dramatic.
Allen tried to hold back his laughter, but a chuckle managed to escape his mouth. He unfolded his arms, letting them rest casually at his sides. "Right," he said, his tone playful as he leaned back against the wall, adopting a relaxed posture. "What do you want to do?" he asked, his voice challenging.

Emma's eyes narrowed, her determination unwavering. "You will see it later!" she shot back, her voice firm and resolute. With that, she turned on her heel and left, her steps echoing down the corridor.
Allen watched her go. Emma's fierce spirit was something he both respected and found endearing. Despite her sometimes prickly demeanor, there was a depth to her emotions that he was only beginning to understand. He knew that her words weren't empty threats; she would indeed find a way to repay him, and it would be interesting to see how she chose to do so. But for sure…
"Having a little sister surely is not as beautiful as in slice of life stories," he muttered.
