Villain's Survival: SSS Class Infinite Copy Eyes-Chapter 42. Healing
Chapter 42: 42. Healing
The moment he’d activated Riven’s Blood Mana Style, his reasoning had dropped to near-animalistic levels, and he didn’t care about the destruction he caused, but now...
"Shit," muttered Licht as he rubbed his temples. "This is gonna cost me a lot."
As Licht had these thoughts, his eyes drifted toward Riven’s motionless body.
Blood still pooled beneath him, but his breathing had grown faint to the point you would barely even notice it.
Monster or not... the kid had really been done in this time.
If Licht didn’t get him treatment soon, Riven might really die.
And to make things worse, people were already starting to gather around the battlefield. Even though Licht was technically a victim in all of this, if he lingered around any longer, he would be caught red-handed and have no way to explain himself
With a frustrated sigh, Licht bent down and hoisted Riven’s limp body over his shoulder with his good arm
Moments Later
The infirmary door burst open with a clang.
Licht didn’t knock and just waltzed inside.
Inside, the school nurse, Elara, nearly choked on her beer as she jumped to her feet.
"Damn it! It’s the second day! Why have you sent another half-dead child to my infirmary?!"
Licht didn’t answer.
He just flung Riven’s battered body onto the nearest bed with a heavy thud.
"Don’t let the kid die."
"What do you mean, Don’t let him die!" Elara roared, focusing on Licht with a glare so intense, Licht felt like it could cauterise his wounds.
"If you keep turning students into meat puppets, I swear I’ll chain you to this infirmary permanently!"
Licht just gave her a flat, unimpressed look.
"There are three more casualties near the library," he added, brushing past her. "They probably need help more than this one."
Miser’s expression faltered. She glanced back at Riven whose chest barely rose and fell and just sighed, as her shoulders dropped.
"Gods above..." she muttered, her voice cracking as she grabbed her supplies. "What kind of damn school is this?"
Licht ignored the quiet sniffles behind him as he stepped back into the hallway.
Later as Licht was walking towards his Personal office and felt hsi body s ached with phantom pain.
His left arm was sore, and his ribs were bruised. The fight with Riven had been no joke.
"I Should’ve just let the dragon hit him sooner..." Licht grumbled.
Ever since his duel with Charlotte, Licht had realised the great benefit of being able to heal in his personal office and had hidden a sizable medical stash there
Pushing open the office door to his office, Licht walked instead and reached toward the drawer beneath his desk, but paused mid-motion.
Licht’s eyes widened in disgust as he saw someone was already there.
It was Yuna.
She lay down fully reclined in his office chair, legs kicked up on the desk as if se she owned the place. Her long purple hair swayed lazily with each turn of the chair, and an all-too-pleased smile rested on her lips.
"Why are you in my office?" Licht asked flatly, not even bothering to look surprised.
"I asked Grandpa. He said I could come," she replied sweetly, then jingled a shiny set of keys right in front of his face, as if to punctuate the point. "See? Official clearance."
Licht stared at her for a second. Then muttered under his breath:
"Damn nepo baby."
It was funny, coming from someone wearing the flesh of one of the most privileged legacy heirs on the planet.
He didn’t bother arguing. Instead, he turned away with a low sigh and grabbed his bandages and medical salves from the shelf.
Slumping down onto the couch, he peeled off his blood-streaked jacket, then tugged his shirt over his head with a wince. His left arm was swollen, the skin flushed dark purple in places. Slowly, he began unwrapping the makeshift bandages to rewrap them properly.
Behind him, Yuna’s voice floated like a breeze.
"Is it broken?"
She’d appeared behind him silently, like some ghost in a schoolgirl uniform.
ignoring her strange movements, Licht coldly replied
"It’s not broken. Just sprained." he said
Hearing this, Yuna tilted her head, blinking curiously.
"How’d that happen? You’re the Rank 1 cadet, and Grandpa says you’re really strong. But you keep getting hurt. Are you actually weak..." Yuna leaned in a bit, her breath flicking his ears
"...or are you just reckless?"
Licht’s eyes flicked toward her as his tone turned sharp
"I’m not weak."
Lichr finished applying some medicine with a set of precise, clinical motions before continuing.
"The only reason I got hurt..." he paused, letting the memory of the blood-soaked Riven flash across his mind,
"...was because I met someone rather interesting."
The word "interesting" made Yuna’s ears twitch.
"How interesting?" she asked. "Is he more interesting than you?"
"Of course he is," Licht replied. "You should go find him."
If all Yuna was interested in was someone a little interesting, then Licht wouldn’t mind kicking her away and dumping her with another madman so they could enjoy each other’s company.
But Licht’s plan didn’t get very far
"You’re lying," said Yuna.
As she spoke, she grabbed Licht’s face and leaned in, her dull eyes searching his with quiet intensity.
Then, just for a moment, her usual blank expression shifted. Her eyes shimmered with a unique brilliance, and the corners of her lips lifted into a smile so soft, so stunning, it was almost otherworldly.
"That can’t be true," she whispered as she brought her face dangerously close to Licht’s
"That can’t be true because you’re the most interesting person I’ve ever met."
Licht’s heart skipped a beat.
The air in the room changed, becoming warmer as it remained Charged with something he couldn’t name.
Damn... thought Licht, his mind faltering a little.
You can’t just smile like that out of nowhere.
Before Licht could properly recover, Yuna reached for his hand and grabbed the set of bandages
"Let me do it for you," said Yuna
"You know how to bandage?" asked Licht curiously
"How hard can it be?"
