"When those peasant girls are powdering themselves and enjoying love, when those court maids are discussing which knight is worthy of their attention, exchanging love letters, as the Marchioness of Winford, all I can do is wait for other great nobles to come and propose, even though my father has repeatedly emphasized that my happiness is important too. But how could I not know, as a Marchioness, that in the whole Kingdom, there are only a dozen or twenty candidates to choose from, and among them, I don't fancy a single one," Surya said sorrowfully, "I never believed in eloping either."

"Indeed." Laine nodded silently. The dream of a legitimate daughter of a great noble for marital freedom was just that, a dream. And Surya, having inherited Francois' exceptional political wisdom, had received an excellent education from a young age, therefore having high standards. She not only hoped her husband would be a Holy Grail Knight, but she also had many other conditions.

These conditions were met only by Laine.

"Then you appeared," Surya continued, "Ever since you entered my father's sight, shaking the entire Old World repeatedly, he started to secretly encourage me to have more contact with you... until today."

"Laine, my husband, you don't need to be overly concerned about this. In this world, how many couples come together solely because of love? At least we admire each other, at least we are each other's favored. That is already remarkable. Am I right?" Surya and Laine locked eyes, with only sincerity in the Knight Lady's gaze: "Our time ahead is long; we will be husband and wife, and some small imperfections will only make us more perfect."

"Ah~" Laine sighed deeply, clutching his chest, "Alas, I think I am already conquered by you, my wife."

"You were conquered by me long ago, my husband." Surya blushed and whispered, "Ever since I realized you were staring at my legs all day, I knew conquering you wouldn't be hard!"

"Impossible! How do you know my secret?" Laine was "shocked", quickly saying.

"Is that still called a secret?" Surya covered her mouth, chuckling quietly.

The carriage slowly entered the Cathedral, and at eleven in the morning, the wedding officially began.

The Kingdom's orchestra played music, and on the long red carpet, Laine first walked into the Cathedral. His best man was his childhood friend Alfred, who, after a long absence, went to study at the Imperial Justice Church and had just returned to Brittania, while the bridesmaid group was decked with flowers.

Next, the wedding march played. Francois held his daughter Surya's hand, walking along the red carpet into the magnificent Cathedral. The Duke himself felt a bit emotional and a bit reluctant, saying to the dressed-up Surya: "Daughter, your father will accompany you only this far."

"Father..." Tears welled up in the Knight Lady's eyes.

"Go on, Laine is an excellent knight and will be a good husband. Even though there are more women around him, none will threaten your status, my daughter." Francois said with a smile.

At this moment, the Duke was just a kind father, giving Surya one last piece of advice before placing her hand in Laine's.

Inside the Cathedral, applause thundered. Laine was a hero of the Knight Kingdom, and his marriage to Surya received everyone's blessings. The great nobles present applauded vigorously, conveying their joy.

The six Genetic Primarchs present clapped enthusiastically, causing quite a commotion. Angerong remarked: "My brother... finally married, though it's unfortunate that only a few of us are here. It would have been nice if everyone could be present."

"More brothers will return, I'm sure of it. Ah, I remember my days at Makulage, my foster parents, I miss them so much..." Kiliman watched as Laine's foster father Norman stepped up to give a speech. Norman's speech carried some accent, and though not strong, it moved the Genetic Primarch of the Ultimate Warriors greatly.

Kiliman and Laine were similar; both had foster parents and enjoyed a happy childhood. His foster father introduced him to the "beauty" of humanity, which made Kiliman steadfast in his belief that humanity would create a glorious era despite countless setbacks.

"Hehe, Kiliman, why do I feel like you're thinking of your Eldar wife, the Chosen of the Eldar Death God, Inanis? I heard that since your father agreed to an alliance with the Death God Army, you and your Eldar wife often fight side by side, deeply in love..." Magnus chattered incessantly in Kiliman's ear, "When are you planning to get engaged?"

"Shut your mouth, Magnus." Kiliman's smile slowly faded, his forehead veins popping, as he whispered into Magnus's ear: "Today is Laine's wedding. I don't want to punch you here. Don't force me."

Magnus chuckled, but as he opened his mouth to speak, an Explosive Arrow Pistol was shoved into his mouth, pressed against his throat: "Shut up, Magnus, or we'll tell father you intend to disrupt Laine's wedding."

"...Hmph!" Seeing Zhuangsen's cold and angry expression, Magnus finally closed his mouth.

Looking up, Norman and Francois had already finished their blessings, and the Duke of Connet, Lorne, as the King's representative, finished delivering the blessing from the Brittania Royal Family. Then, Lake God Witch Mogiana began the last and most important vow ceremony, as the Lake Fairy's representative.

Mogiana stood between Laine and Surya, her voice cold: "Laine Macado, through poverty, illness, hardship, and suffering, wealth, health, joy, and happiness, do you vow to stay with Miss Surya, to protect and love her for all your life?"

"I vow in the name of 'Him' and Macado, I do." Laine said earnestly.

"Miss Surya, through poverty, illness, suffering, wealth, health, joy, and happiness, do you vow to stay with Laine, to protect and love him for all your life?" Mogiana continued, her expression slightly conflicted.

"I do." Surya, holding a golden iris, sincerely made her vow.

"Now, in the name of the Lady of the Lake, I formally declare you husband and wife. May the Lady's Radiance shine upon your future paths." Mogiana completed her duty, loudly announcing to everyone.

"Now, the groom may kiss the bride!"

At this point, Laine was a bit shy, blushing, and hesitated to approach Surya.

Yet the Knight Lady was more assertive, stepping forward and rising on her tiptoes.

Their lips met in a radiant kiss.

"Wow!"

"Ah! How envious!"

"Blessings to you!"

"Laine! Laine! Laine!"

Inside the Cathedral, cheers and blessings resounded in waves.

Only the Elf Maiden seated behind Tygris looked displeased, weakly smiling and clapping, muttering to herself: "Surya got all the benefits. I regret it. Those things should have been mine! All mine!"

"What do you plan to do next?" Tygris followed up with a question.

"Surya is my faithful follower, and since her Goddess has already given her Divine Chosen Champion as a husband, she should share her happiness with her Goddess, am I right?" The Lake Fairy smiled, with reluctance and remorse, whispering, "I already have plans; they will honeymoon at my tower."

The ceremony ended, and after the music played, the newlyweds exited, with guests applauding and showering them with petals.

Following that was the grand wedding banquet.
