Warlock Apprentice-Chapter 1844: Section 1845: The Falwins Family
Chapter 1844: Section 1845: The Falwins Family
In the next two days, Angel continued researching the green patterns on his right hand, hoping to further enrich the Green Vein System.
Through his research, he was certain that there were several unfamiliar green patterns on his right hand. However, this research was not as smooth sailing. The data for these unfamiliar green patterns were extremely complex, with each pattern’s surface data surpassing Angel’s imagination. Even with Angel activating Super Brain State and constructing a "Server" in the Mind Space, trying to research thoroughly through overclocking, it was still not easy.
After attempting for two days, Angel’s research progress did not exceed 2% for a single green pattern.
Angel recorded this 2% in his Handbook and stopped the research for the time being. Although he was prepared for a long-term battle, he planned to research these complex green patterns last, intending to build up his ability system first before discussing anything else.
The right hand was the first area Angel fused, aside from several unfamiliar green patterns, Angel had basically completed his research. He then shifted his attention to his right forearm, preparing for a comprehensive ability observation.
However, as soon as Angel’s research began, a series of "knock-knock-knock" sounds drew his attention away.
The sound came from Angel’s pocket.
Angel took out from his pocket a silver gear-shaped button and placed it in the palm of his hand. At this moment, the button was flashing faintly, with sounds like knocking emanating from the center of the button.
Rubbing the button’s surface slightly, a Mini Signal Tower appeared before Angel.
Angel operated quickly, and when sensing the internal structure of the Signal Tower, he noticed that the Signal Tower contacting him this time was the Public Signal Tower of Sky Mechanical City.
It must either be Muse or Rosen.
"Is there new news from the Seed?" Angel wondered as he activated the Signal Tower.
As the Light Screen appeared, a face appeared before Angel, causing his pupils to contract suddenly.
"Midora, Master?!" Angel couldn’t help but sit upright in surprise.
The orange-red withered hair old man sitting opposite was one of the Research and Development Institute members, "Magic Potion" Midora!
"What, surprised to see me?" Midora said while smilingly twisting the burnt mustache from experiments with his fingers.
Angel nodded like pounding garlic: "A bit surprised."
"Is this your new image?" Midora noticed. freewebnøvel_com
Angel: "Sort of, planning to keep a low profile for a while."
Midora’s eyes flickered slightly, not extending the topic further, though he roughly guessed the reason for Angel’s low profile.
"How did Master Midora know the Mini Signal Tower was with me?"
Midora: "Of course, it was Director Muse who told me."
After a pause, Midora muttered a few words in a low voice: "However, that guy only informed me this morning that the Mini Signal Tower was given to you. If he had told me earlier, when overcoming certain alchemy obstacles a few days ago, I could have asked you about the issue with the Magic Pattern."
Angel: "So, has Master Midora overcome the alchemy obstacle now?"
Midora nodded, sighed, and said: "It took me a lot of effort, and ultimately, I consulted Good, using the blending method to break through the obstacle."
"Although I didn’t help this time, if there’s anything you need my assistance with in the future, feel free to contact me anytime." Angel said earnestly.
In the entire Sky Mechanical City, the wizard Angel respected most was Midora. Midora had also given Angel much help, so if he could assist Midora, he would be very willing.
Midora: "Then I’ll bother you often in the future."
"You’re welcome anytime."
Midora twisted his mustache with a gratified expression, saying: "Indeed, you’re still my favorite in the Research and Development Institute."
After a burst of laughter, Midora slightly restrained his external expression: "Back to business, do you know why I came to find you this time?"
"Director Muse?" Angel remembered Midora mentioning that he learned from Muse this morning that the Mini Signal Tower was with him, so he guessed it might be Muse asking Midora to contact him.
"Yes, it was indeed he who asked me to find you."
Angel understood that if Muse were looking for him, it would definitely be about the Seed issue.
However, this time Angel guessed wrong.
"This time I contacted you because the Falvens family has responded, Lydia has returned."
Angel was stunned, not expecting it was this matter... When he was still in Sky Mechanical City, he had promised Greya to help her find the Eyeless Man Houston, so he entrusted Muse to inquire about Lydia’s whereabouts. Later, Muse contacted the Falvens family, where Lydia resided, through the Signal Tower, and the answer was that she was not in the family at the time.
Angel had nearly forgotten this matter, but unexpectedly, he received the news that Lydia had returned?
"Do you still plan to contact Lydia? If you want to, I can arrange a meeting with her for you... Of course, through the Signal Tower meeting." Midora asked.
Angel nodded: "Please do."
Midora waved his hand: "Alright, I’ll contact her now to see when she has time to talk to you."
After speaking, Midora directly cut off the communication.
After Midora cut off the communication on that side, Angel extended his Spirit Tentacle outward until he reached the lakeside cabin at the center of the manor.
He saw Greya, sitting on a sun chair, basking in the sun while grooming Toby’s unruly fur.
Angel did not conceal the Spirit Tentacle, and Greya sensed it immediately. She lazily lifted her eyes: "I heard from Butler Good that you would be in seclusion for a while, but now it’s less than a week and the research is over?"
"The research is just beginning, but this time I’m here for something else."
Greya: "What is it?"
Angel paused: "Lydia has returned to Falvens."
Greya froze for a moment, suddenly stood up, startling Toby.
The next moment, Greya’s figure disappeared from the spot and appeared in Angel’s study.
"Lydia has responded to you?" Greya didn’t even bother to change out of her sunbathing mesh, pressing both hands on the desk, leaning to ask Angel.
"Lydia hasn’t replied to me yet, but..." Angel narrated the situation Midora had discussed earlier.
After listening to Angel’s words, Greya immediately reacted: "So, Lydia will contact you through the Mini Signal Tower later?"
Angel nodded: "Unless there’s an accident."
"I see." Greya’s eyes squinted, seemingly thinking of something.
Angel was about to inquire from Greya when suddenly, a wave of smoke appeared around Greya. When the smoke dissipated, a colossal meat mountain Great Demon King appeared in front of Angel.
With a purple noblewoman gown tightened over her flesh, a heavily made-up face, fiery red lips paired with big wavy curls, all showcasing Greya’s past elegance.
"How is it?" To match this image, Greya’s voice became a buzz: "Does this illusion have any flaws?"
Greya’s flesh was lost, and since the Shapeshifting Technique was bound to the body’s skin, she could only use the Illusion Technique to achieve this appearance.
To be fair, Greya’s Basic Illusion Technique was quite decent. At least as far as Angel could see, there weren’t many flaws.
"Why do you need to use an illusion?" Angel asked with some confusion.
"Since I’m going to meet Lydia and discuss Houston’s matter, naturally I should be in formal attire." Greya said matter-of-factly.
Formal attire? This is your formal attire?
Angel really wanted to retort internally about how obsessed Greya was with her meat mountain image... But before he could think further, the Mini Signal Tower rang again.
