“Ms. Luo has spoken. Let’s go with her. It will clear the air and save us all the trouble,” Lu He said.

“You should also know by now that we don’t allow anyone to go to that place in our house. I’m going to see if you’ve stolen anything from there.”

Luo Ying smiled and nodded. “Please do.”

The group of people walked in the direction of the small house.

!!

For some reason, Lu Yu was a little flustered. By now, Lu Yao should have arrived with the recording. Could something have happened?

The more Lu Yu thought about it, the more terrified she felt.

Luo Ying brought the people to the room where she had changed her clothes.

“Here we are. Are you satisfied now?”

Lu Yu bit the bullet and nodded. “Our family has always been strict. Someone like you does not suit us. You’d best open the door and stop playing any tricks.”

Luo Ying remained calm. She smiled under everyone’s scrutinizing gazes.

She pushed the door open, and everyone filed in. They were greeted by a scene beyond their imaginations.

Lu Yao was lying on the bed in the middle of the room, while one of their drivers, Chen, was lying on the other side.

Their clothes were still intact, and it didn’t seem like anything had happened.

However, a man and a woman being alone in a room like this was enough for people to jump to conclusions.

The group did not need any encouragement to start discussing amongst themselves.

“Why is Ms. Lu Yao here? She’s such a chaste lady. How could she be with the driver?”

“Lu Yu, is this your method of informing us about your cousin’s habits? Isn’t it a little too much?”

“That’s right. She’s still your cousin. You could have tried talking her out of it before going nuclear.”

Lu Yu’s face alternated between red and white. She stared at Lu He in fear.

“Lu Yu, what exactly are you up to here? Why did you bring us here to humiliate my daughter before the entire family? ” Lu He shouted loudly. She quickly walked to the side of the bed and shook Lu Yao awake.

Lu Yao slowly woke up. She looked at the entire room and realized what had happened. Tears welled up in her eyes. “I was walking outside. I have no idea why Luo Ying knocked me out and threw me in here.”

Everyone’s eyes turned to Luo Ying.

It seemed like Lu Yu and Luo Ying had colluded to frame Lu Yao.

“How shameless. You worked with Lu Yu to frame my daughter. You put my daughter together with the servant and then arranged for Lu Yu and yourself to call everyone here to catch her in the act of adultery. You’re really vicious,” Lu He said.

“Aunt, what does this have to do with me? All of this was clearly arranged by Luo Ying…” Before Lu Yu could finish her sentence, she felt Lu Yao’s venomous gaze on her.

“Mom, Lu Yu and Luo Ying must have planned this. This driver was originally Lu Yao’s lover, and I found out about their affair, which led to this.”

“Lu Yu!” Lu Yao screamed. “We grew up together! Why are you doing this? Are you jealous of me being close to Jin Shi?”

Jin Shi was one of Lu Yao’s many targets in her attempt to have an affair.

He was a top celebrity with a girlfriend, but Lu Yao still kept pestering him. This scandal had once made the headlines in the entertainment industry.

“Why bring Jin Shi up now? Lu Yao, you’re such a schemer. Why didn’t I realize that about you much sooner?” Lu Yu said.

“Mom, Lu Yu is a traitor. She sided with an outsider like Luo Ying to humiliate me.” Lu Yao was crying like a pear blossom tree bathed in rain.” Lu He felt rage overwhelm her.

“Our Lu Family is one of honor and respect. How did we even raise such wretched women like you? Men, punish her!” Lu He said through gritted teeth.

“Before you invoke the family law, you should first get to the bottom of the matter. Aunt, what evidence do you have to prove that I was involved in any way?” Luo Ying said in a calm voice, and the whole room fell silent.

Everything they had heard so far was Lu Yao’s one-sided story. Perhaps the truth could be something else entirely.

“What’s wrong? Are you saying that my daughter sacrificed her innocence to wound you? You’re really shameless. You can say anything you want.”

Lu He seemed to grow even angrier.

“What if I have the evidence to suggest otherwise?”
