Welcome to the Innocent World-Chapter 270: Lyra & Afa Quarrel
The night sky stretched vast and endless above the island, a glittering dome of stars pierced by the faint silver glow of the moon, casting a shimmering veil over the ocean below. Alaric and I hovered high above, our bodies suspended in the cool night air, locked in a tense standoff that crackled with unspoken violence.
Below us, the open ceiling of the underground chamber gaped like a dark wound, its reddish-pink neon haze spilling out into the night. Lyra sat cross-legged on the concrete floor, her naked body bathed in moonlight, her blonde hair catching the glow as she raised both hands toward me, her eyes sparkling with fierce pride. "Hehe, my Hero Zero!" she shouted, her voice bright and full of fire, her grin wide as she pumped her fists in the air. "Kick that alien’s ass!"
Afa, sitting a few feet away, her dark curls messy and her arms crossed tightly, snapped her head toward Lyra, her teeth grinding. "Shut up, bitch!" she spat, raising a fist, her voice sharp with anger. "Lord Alaric will defeat him for sure!" Her dark eyes burned with defiance, her naked body tense as she leaned forward, trying to match Lyra’s energy.
Lyra laughed, her grin turning sharp as she leaned back, her teeth bared in a mocking smirk. "Haha, keep dreaming, stupid girl," she said, her voice dripping with taunt.
Afa’s smirk returned, her eyes narrowing as she folded her arms tighter, pushing her own chest up in a show of bravado. "Lord Alaric is one of the special generals of the Demon Lord," she said, her voice smug, her chin lifting with pride. "There’s no way he can lose to your pathetic Zero."
Lyra’s eyes glinted with mischief, her grin widening as she leaned forward slightly, her arms still crossed, her boobs noticeably fuller than Afa’s. "Haha, so he’s not even the strongest in your little army?" she shot back, her voice sharp and triumphant. "Our Zero is the one and only soul hero of everything." She straightened, pushing her chest out proudly, mirroring Afa’s pose but with a swagger that made her dominance clear.
Afa’s smirk faltered, her eyes flicking to Lyra’s chest, a flush of jealousy creeping across her face. The difference was obvious, and it stung. She shifted uncomfortably, her arms tightening as if to compensate, but the humiliation was clear in her narrowed eyes and the slight tremble of her lips.
Lyra caught it and leaned closer, her smirk turning wicked. "Hehe, feeling jealous?" she asked, her voice teasing as she tilted her head, her blonde hair falling over one shoulder.
Afa’s face flushed deeper, her finger shooting out to point at Lyra, her voice rising with anger. "Huh!? Jealous of what?" she snapped, her tone sharp but shaky, her eyes blazing. "Listen here, you little bitch—"
"Stop with the bitch-bitch talk," Lyra cut in, her voice firm and cutting, her grin never wavering. "You’re the only bitch here, Afa." She leaned back, her arms still crossed, her confidence unshaken as she stared Afa down.
Afa laughed, a loud, mocking sound that echoed off the concrete walls. "Look who’s talking!" she said, her voice dripping with scorn. "A married woman, running around naked, getting fucked by other man and cheering for some wannabe hero. Bwahahaha!" Her laughter rang out, sharp and cruel, but there was a desperate edge to it, like she was clinging to her pride.
Lyra’s green eyes blazed with fire as she leaned forward, her teeth gritted, her voice sharp with defiance despite the sting of Afa’s earlier jab. "Huh!? So what?" she snapped, her hands clenched into fists. "Zero is the hero everyone should serve." Her cheeks flushed with a mix of pride and humiliation, Afa’s words about her marriage cutting deeper than she’d let on.
Afa laughed, a sharp, mocking sound that echoed off the concrete walls. "Sure, bitch, keep giving excuses," she said, her voice dripping with scorn as she leaned back, her dark eyes glinting with malice. "Poor your husband, stuck with a woman who fucks around."
Lyra’s grin returned, sharp and taunting, her confidence unshaken as she leaned closer, her voice dropping to a sympathetic tone laced with venom. "Haha, at least I get satisfied when I fuck," she said, her words cutting like a knife. "Unlike you, who has to fake her orgasm just to please your alien. Poor you, Afa." She tilted her head, her blonde hair catching the moonlight, her smirk wicked as she watched Afa’s reaction.
Afa’s face flushed red, her teeth grinding so hard the sound was almost audible. "What the fuck did you just say?" she spat, her voice trembling with rage as she pointed a shaking finger at Lyra, her naked body tense with fury. 𝑓𝑟𝑒𝘦𝓌𝑒𝑏𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝘭.𝒸𝘰𝑚
Lyra laughed, a loud, triumphant sound that rang out in the night. "The thing you heard and keep ignoring, like a child who can’t face reality," she said, her voice dripping with mockery. "Bwahahaha!" She threw her head back, her laughter echoing, her chest heaving as she savored Afa’s anger.
Afa’s fists clenched tighter, her dark eyes blazing, but before she could fire back, a sharp *tch* cut through the air from above.
Alaric’s voice, low and irritated, broke the moment. "They’re noisy," he said, his tone flat as he raised one palm downward, his red aura flaring around his hand.
A crackling red energy beam gathered in his palm, its glow casting a crimson light across his face. Without moving an inch, he fired it straight down toward Lyra and Afa, the beam slicing through the air with a menacing *hiss*.
Lyra’s eyes widened, her laughter cutting off as she scrambled to her feet. Afa froze, her anger replaced by a flash of fear as the beam hurtled toward them.
In a blur of motion, I shot downward at light speed, my black aura surging around me like a dark comet as I swung my arm, deflecting the energy blast with a burst of my own aura. The red beam veered off course, streaking toward the sea with a *swooosh*, exploding in a spray of water that shimmered under the moonlight, sending waves crashing against the shore.
I hovered just above the ground now, my black coat billowing, my aura pulsing fiercely as I glared up at Alaric.
"Why protect the ants?" he asked, his voice flat and cold, his red eyes glinting as he lowered his hand, his aura still burning around him.
I straightened, my expression hardening, my voice steady and serious. "They’re not ants," I said, my tone cutting through the night. "They’re humans."
