What Would You Do If An Ugly Woman Asked You To Dual Cultivate?-Chapter 34: Yu Ruyi’s Power
Chapter 34 - Yu Ruyi's Power
"Got it," Navrita said and was about to step out when Yu Ruyi stopped her.
"Let me go instead," she said.
"Why?"
"If you go, you might kill him without getting any answers," Yu Ruyi replied in a calm voice. Then, without waiting for a response, she stepped out from Yang Hao's chest and disappeared.
Navrita didn't know what to say. She wanted to say that she ability to make them answer whatever she asked, and Yu Ruyi also knew it.
Meanwhile, deep in the forest, Mr. Da stood among the tall, dark trees, holding Han Zhentian's severed head in his hands. The air was cold, and the ground was covered with dead leaves. He looked at the head for a moment, then opened his mouth wide and shoved it inside. His sharp teeth bit into the skull, cracking it loudly. Flesh, bone, and hair were crushed between his jaws as he chewed.
"The taste is not good," he said, still chewing.
As he swallowed, his body began to change. His thin chest expanded outward, his stomach swelling unnaturally until it became large and round. His arms and legs stayed thin, looking even weaker than before. His skin darkened, turning completely black. His eyes changed to a deep brown color, glowing slightly in the darkness. His entire body looked strange, like something that did not belong to this world.
Then, he sensed something coming toward him very fast. He was still chewing when he turned his head and saw a woman flying straight at him.
She had long, black hair that reached past her waist, moving with the wind. Her hair was slightly wavy, thick, and smooth. Some strands fell in front of her face, but her sharp, focused eyes were still visible. Her eyes were dark red, intense and unblinking as she looked at him. Her eyebrows were thin and arched. Her skin was smooth, light in color, and without any marks or blemishes. Her lips were full and slightly pink. Her face was well-shaped, with high cheekbones and a pointed chin.
She was wearing a long, pink saree that wrapped around her body and draped over her left shoulder. The fabric was soft and slightly see-through, decorated with delicate embroidery. The saree was fitted around her waist, showing her slim figure, and the bottom part flowed down to her ankles. Her blouse was off-shoulder, revealing her collarbones but concealing her chest.
She wore jewelry that matched her outfit. A pink and gold necklace rested against her neck, and a pair of large earrings hung from her ears. The earrings were long, with small pink stones in them. She had multiple golden bangles on both wrists, which jingled softly as she moved. On her fingers, she wore several thin gold rings.
Her nails were long, neatly shaped, and painted a light pink color. Her feet were bare, her toenails painted the same color as her fingernails. Her posture was strong, and the way she moved showed that she was skilled and confident.
Mr. Da stopped chewing. His gut clenched—fear, real fear, hit him hard. He shifted his weight, legs trembling, ready to bolt. His hands twitched, fingers curling tight. This can't be her. Not her. Not now, he thought, sweat beading on his black skin.
The golden bangles, the necklace, that pink saree, ring—it was one of a kind. A taboo of universe. Only Yu Ruyi wore that. He'd heard she was injured badly, but even if she was injured badly, she would be still stronger than him.
Mr. Da stopped chewing. His gut twisted—fear slammed into him like a fist. His legs shook, hands trembling as he stared at her. This is Yu Ruyi. I'm screwed, he thought, sweat dripping down his black skin.
Yu Ruyi tilted her head, dark red eyes piercing him. "You're the Devouring Devil," she said, "First that Devil's Pet, then the Breeding Devil. Two more out there, right? Why are you here?"
He swallowed hard, choking down the bloody mess in his mouth. His feet shuffled back, but the air locked tight—space sealed. She's trapped me. No way out, his mind screamed. His thin arms twitched, his bloated stomach quivering.
She stepped forward, her pink saree swaying around her ankles, soft and flowing. "Don't waste my time," she said, full lips curling into a small, cold smile. "Talk, and I'll kill you fast. Stay quiet, and I'll make it last."
His breath hitched, shoulders hunching. "I—I'm here 'cause the Kings sent me, okay? You don't wanna mess with them! The Princess is here too. You're injured, right? Just let me go!" His voice cracked, eyes darting for an escape.
Yu Ruyi laughed—a short, hard sound. "You think I care?" Her hand flicked up, golden bangles clinking on her wrist, and a thin thread of golden energy shot out, coiling around his arm.
He yelped, jerking back, but the thread tightened. His black skin smoked where it touched, sizzling like acid. Normal shit doesn't hurt me, but this—this is bad, he thought, panic rising.
"Still quiet?" she asked, casual as if chatting over tea. She twisted her fingers, bangles jingling again, and the thread burrowed deeper. His arm bubbled, flesh melting, black blood oozing out. Devils didn't feel pain like humans, but this wasn't normal—it was her power, eating him alive.
He clenched his jaw, shaking. She'll kill me anyway. Better shut up, he decided, biting back a scream.
Yu Ruyi sighed, stepping closer. Her saree brushed the dead leaves, pink fabric catching the faint light. "Fine, let's play." She snapped her fingers, and the thread split—hundreds of tiny strands now, digging into his chest, his bloated gut, his skinny legs. Each one glowed, burning through his devil flesh, dissolving it slow.
He thrashed, falling to his knees, brown eyes wide with terror. "Stop—stop it!" he gasped, but she didn't.

"Hm, who sent you?" she asked, voice light, like she was asking about the weather. Her dark red eyes glinted as she leaned in, strands of wavy black hair falling over her face.
The strands drilled deeper, piercing his swollen stomach. It burst open, black guts spilling out, steaming on the ground. He screamed, clawing at the dirt. She's too strong—too damn strong, his mind wailed.
"Talk," she said, straightening up. Her pink-painted nails tapped her hip, calm and unbothered.
He shook his head, sobbing now. I'm dead either way. Kings'll rip me apart if I snitch. His body trembled, guts leaking, but he clamped his mouth shut.
Yu Ruyi shrugged. "Suit yourself." She waved her hand, and the threads yanked upward, lifting him off the ground. They tightened, slicing through his thin arms—black blood sprayed, limbs dangling by threads of skin. Her earrings swayed as she tilted her head, watching him twitch.
"Last chance," she said, lips barely moving, pink and steady. "Who's with you? Why're you here?"
He gurgled, choking on his own blood. The pain wasn't normal—it was her, shredding his devil essence, something fire or blades couldn't touch. His resolve cracked. She'll keep going. I'm done.
"Okay—okay!" he shouted, voice breaking. "It's me, the Breeding Devil, the Titan Devil, the Ice Princess, and my Devil's Pet! We came for the Devil's Heart—that's it! I swear, I don't know more!"
Yu Ruyi paused, her saree still as she stood there. "Devil's Heart, huh?" She flicked her wrist, bangles clinking, and the threads snapped tight. His body split—torso one way, legs another—black blood splattering the trees.
He was dead before he hit the ground.
She turned, wavy hair swinging past her waist, and walked off, leaving his corpse in pieces. Her barefoot steps were silent, pink toenails flashing in the dark. "Kings and a Ice Princess," she muttered, "The king's won't came in this world, and Ice Princess here is probably one of her clones. Even if it's clone, she is strong, even to deal with this small fry, I used up 3 years."
