Chapter 194: Chapter 194: Can’t Have Kids with You, But Fitzwilliam Can Have Twins with One Pregnancy (Bonus Chapter)

Elara was stunned and asked in surprise, "Is there really such a thing?"

Jasmine Doyle shrugged, "Chloe came from the red-light district. She finally got close to our circle, so of course she’d target the most powerful one first. Fitzwilliam is the most capable and highest-ranking among us, and Chloe’s initial target was Fitzwilliam. Fitzwilliam almost fell for her trap..."

Before she could finish, Jasmine suddenly felt a piercing gaze over her head, as if it would drill through her skull. She raised her head with a tingling scalp and met Zion Fitzwilliam’s warning look.

Jasmine awkwardly smiled and complained to Elara, "See, he doesn’t dare let me speak."

Elara just pursed her lips and smiled, not pressing for more.

Jasmine felt a bit angry inside. She had stirred the pot so much, yet Elara didn’t react? Could she really bear it?

Shouldn’t she immediately ask what was going on? That way, Jasmine could embellish and tell her a bunch of bad things about Zion Fitzwilliam.

Zion Fitzwilliam glanced at Jasmine but said nothing more, though it was obvious that he was at his limit of tolerance.

Jasmine touched her nose and didn’t dare to speak further.

She got up and smiled at Elara, "I’m going to the restroom."

Elara lightly chuckled and nodded.

Jasmine stepped out of the restroom, unexpectedly running into Zion Fitzwilliam.

He stood outside the restroom, clearly waiting for her.

Jasmine halted, looking at him somewhat guiltily, "Fitzwilliam, are you here to use the restroom too?"

Zion Fitzwilliam’s expression didn’t change as he asked her, "Are you trying to drive a wedge between me and Elara? What’s your purpose?"

Jasmine feigned ignorance, "I didn’t mean to. I just wanted to tell her more about our circle’s past so she could integrate more quickly."

Zion Fitzwilliam slightly frowned and said bluntly, "No need. She’s my wife, and of course, I’ll help her integrate. Don’t say those ambiguous things in front of Elara in the future. I’ll never leave her in this life. No matter what you think, I’ll never like you."

After speaking, he left.

Jasmine was left frozen in place, her face pale.

She had always thought that Fitzwilliam was just a cold person and didn’t know she liked him. Although she always teased him jokingly, he never responded, and she assumed he simply didn’t understand.

But today, he made it clear.

He knew she liked him all along.

He knew that she had cared so much for so many years.

But he had never given her the slightest response or hope.

She thought she was smart, staying by his side as a close confidante, thinking she could eventually win his heart.

Yet, from the start, she never stood a chance.

Jasmine’s eyes couldn’t help but redden.

Just then, the sound of footsteps suddenly stopped behind her.

Jasmine turned around and saw a familiar face.

"Mason Jacobs?"

She curled her lips into a cold smile, "What are you doing here? Did you forget how I warned you last time?"

Mason Jacobs looked at her with a faint smile, arms folded, very at ease. He glanced in the direction where Zion Fitzwilliam had left and asked, "Is Miss Doyle very upset?"

Jasmine’s expression darkened, "None of your damn business."

With that, she turned to leave.

Mason Jacobs spoke from behind her, "Miss Doyle, such a good person, why hang yourself on one tree? If he doesn’t cherish you, you’d better stop in time. After all, there are many people willing to open their arms to you."

He walked up to Jasmine, arms wide open, "Like me."

Jasmine looked at him as if he were a fool, "Are you sick? You don’t think you’re all that, do you? I beg you, look in a mirror. Even daring to tease me shows how clueless you are. Although I want to fall in love, not just any Tom, Dick, or Harry can catch my eye!"

Mason Jacobs’ face turned a bit sour. Anyone who thinks they’re showing their best side only to be called "Tom, Dick, or Harry" wouldn’t be pleased.

He straightforwardly asked, "You stayed by his side for over ten years, did so much for him, but in the end, he discarded you for another woman. Are you truly okay with that?"

Jasmine raised an eyebrow, "Seems like you found out quite a bit."

Mason Jacobs smiled, "At first, I was just curious about who dared to openly threaten me. I didn’t expect I couldn’t find out right away, which made me even more curious. I went to great lengths to finally discover your identity."

"You, Jasmine, were sold to Myarland by your parents at the age of ten, given as a young gift to a local crime boss. Once he tired of you, he passed you to his subordinates. Later, when you fell ill, you were sent to the district for fraud activities. By chance, you met Zion Fitzwilliam, who rescued you by mistake. From then on, you were devoted to him, doing a lot of things for him."

Mason Jacobs looked at her, raising an eyebrow, "My investigation was accurate, wasn’t it?"

Jasmine shrugged, "I didn’t expect President Jacobs’ connections were so wide, even being able to uncover someone like me hidden in the shadows. So, what’s your objective?"

Mason Jacobs maintained a gentlemanly smile, though he felt a bit irritated inside.

He made it sound simple, but it was actually quite difficult to investigate. It required a lot of manpower and resources, even sending people into Myarland to finally uncover Jasmine’s background.

Jasmine is Zion Fitzwilliam’s sharpest blade, knowing many of his secrets. If he could win over Jasmine, dealing with Zion Fitzwilliam wouldn’t be a problem.

Especially since he was growing more suspicious of Zion Fitzwilliam’s motives lately. Winning over Jasmine could reveal more secrets, including Zion Fitzwilliam’s real intentions.

So he had plenty of patience for Jasmine, coaxing, "I know you like Zion Fitzwilliam. Unfortunately, he and my ex-wife are very close. My ex-wife is no pushover. As long as she’s by Zion Fitzwilliam’s side, you won’t gain any advantage."

"Why not cooperate with me? I want Elara, and you want Zion Fitzwilliam. Together, we can get what we want; isn’t that great?"

Jasmine scoffed and looked at him with contempt, "Mason Jacobs, do you think everyone is like you? If you can’t get someone, you have to destroy them? Yes, I like Fitzwilliam, and I don’t approve of your ex-wife being around him, but she is his choice. Who am I to interfere? As long as he’s happy, that’s enough. You really don’t think I’d be the kind of woman to ruin a relationship, do you? I’m not like you."

Joking, Fitzwilliam is her savior, someone she’s respected and loved for over a decade. How could she collaborate with outsiders to go against him for a moment of selfishness?

Mason Jacobs has some nerve. This pig brain, no wonder Fitzwilliam keeps beating him down.

Suddenly remembering something, Jasmine sarcastically remarked to Mason Jacobs, "Oh, there’s something you might not know."

Mason Jacobs glared at her, "What is it?"

By now, he clearly saw that Jasmine was fiercely loyal to Zion Fitzwilliam and wouldn’t be easily swayed.

So he lost the patience to humor her.

Jasmine flashed a dazzling smile, "Your ex-wife is pregnant with twins."

Seeing Mason Jacobs’ face instantly turn darker, she wryly raised an eyebrow, "Looks like you know it’s your problem. Tsk, of course, being with you for two years and not conceiving, but with my Fitzwilliam, she easily has twins. That gap isn’t something everyone can handle."

Being by Zion Fitzwilliam’s side, she naturally knew all about Mason Jacobs, including the physical checkup report sent to Jacobs Group, which she had orchestrated.

So bringing up fertility was no pressure for her.

Looking at Mason Jacobs’ frozen expression, Jasmine felt great and strutted back contentedly in her high heels.
