Why Am I a Priestess When I Reach the Maximum Level?-Chapter 1Vol 5. : A Warm Winter Day
Half a Month Later.
Once again, new dawn light spilled from the horizon.
Violet lazily crawled out of bed, sitting dazedly in her blanket. She stared ahead blankly for a moment before fully waking up. She glanced at the panel to check the time.
It was already past 8 a.m.
“Ah... it’s such a peaceful day that it makes me want to take a nap...”
The trouble caused by Silvina and Eileen had been resolved for a while now.
As the priestess had said, no matter how sorrowful the past or how firm the beliefs, one must take responsibility for their actions.
That being said, when Tiyelu unlocked the sanctuary and found Violet and Silvina in the Illusionary Realm, bringing them out only to encounter Minchen rushing back with a bisected Eileen in his arms, Silvina’s resulting fury nearly startled the priestess.
While planning with Tiyelu, she had clearly stated and informed Minchen that he possessed some abilities to revive the dead, and thus should not hold back and should go all out. However, the priestess did not expect the battle to be this brutal.
What surprised Violet even more was...

Minchen, a Level 80, managed to single-handedly defeat Eileen, who was of a higher level and possessed some power from a demon god’s divine essence, without injury?
To be honest, this seemed somewhat unbelievable. Originally, in Violet and Tiyelu’s plan, the worst case scenario was for him to just stall the opponent.
Hmm... considering that guy had one of his hands chopped off, it wasn’t exactly without injury, right?
Anyway, time to get up!
Sigh, speaking of which, the little dragon girl has rarely slept with her recently. Although it’s great that the child is becoming independent, and this outcome was what the priestess had hoped for, occasionally waking up to an empty bed still feels a bit lonely.
Hmm...
Maybe this was probably the conflicting feelings of being a parent.
The young girl sighed silently, slipping her white, tender feet into the cotton slippers by the bed. She summoned the outer appearance mode of 【Feather Robe Graria】 to cover her body, and after a quick wash in the bathroom, she pushed the door open and stepped out.
The Moon Shadow Tribe had arranged separate residences for each of them, so Violet lived alone in her stone house.
She went downstairs to the first floor, walked out the door, and reached the slope at the edge of the valley.
Breathing in the fresh air brought by the lush vegetation around her, the warm morning sun shone on her, and her long, waterfall-like black hair reflected a shimmering, dreamlike shadow in the wind.
The heavy snow had long since melted. The extreme weather earlier was a result of Silvina’s interference with the earth’s veins and some beings in the Illusionary Realm disrupting the world’s magic cycle.
During the brief period when the Illusionary Realm was on the verge of collapse and the passage to the real world was temporarily opened, a large amount of fire elemental magic power flowed into this world.
Under the changes in the laws and the intentional guidance of some beings, numerous aggressive semi-elemental creatures were formed. Although the passage was quickly closed again, some of its effects still linger in the real world.
The most noticeable effect is the increase in temperature.
Even though it was still early winter, the Ten Thousand Demons Mountains were like a warm spring, with blooming flowers and green branches, creating a scene that seemed to reverse the seasons.
This influence will likely not subside until the next season when the earth’s veins’ magic cycle resumes significant flow, taking away these accumulated elements.
“Actually, it’s pretty nice. At least some people won’t be shivering from the cold all day.”
Laughing softly to herself, the priestess turned and walked toward another stone house.
Upon reaching the house.
“Hey! Let go, you stupid wolf! That’s not food. I don’t care if you get poisoned, but I don’t want the Moon Shadow Tribe chasing after me, you idiot!”
“Awoo! Awoo!”
As soon as she pushed open the door, a chaotic clamor of shrieks and sounds of struggling and things falling greeted the priestess. She was slightly taken aback but quickly shook her head with a mixture of helplessness and amusement.
“Wow, it’s lively in here.”
Violet’s presence was like a splash of cold water on a blazing fire, instantly silencing the chaos inside the messy stone house. But immediately, two shadows lunged at her with lightning speed!
“Violet! Finally, you’re here! Please, I’m begging you, take this little devil away! She’s a super destructive force! It’s one thing that she ruined a bunch of my important materials, but if she accidentally eats something bad and kicks the bucket, I’m done for...”
“Awoo~!”
Nimbly sidestepping Miss Eilush’s swift attack, Violet caught the leaping white wolf cub in her arms. She casually petted Novia’s soft, fluffy head and turned with a wry smile to look at the doll-like girl who had crashed into a pile of junk and was now groaning and getting up.
“What happened to your confident claim that you could handle this and insisted on keeping Novia here for examination and research? It’s only been one night, and you’re already changing your tune? Great inventor, are you up to the task or not? I personally assured Chief Vanessa to let her daughter stay here temporarily.”
“Uh, well...”
Eilush finally crawled out of the pile of trash, not caring about her appearance. She leaned back casually against the heap of scrap metal, scratching her head with an embarrassed look on her face.
“I was just trying to help... I do have some ideas, but the main problem is that the scale of the magical energy source you mentioned is too vast. Last night, I tried several high-magic metals and high-grade magic crystals, but they all broke down after just channeling a tiny bit of the total energy. This thing... it’s simply not something ordinary materials can handle.”
She glared at the white wolf cub, who was sticking its tongue out at her, with a mix of frustration and dejection.
“I really don’t understand how this stupid wolf, with such an average physique, can contain such a massive amount of energy.”
“Awoo!”
Holding her head high with a triumphant posture, Novia swayed her cute little tail in front of Violet’ chest. It seemed that ever since that day, her intelligence had progressed astonishingly. She could now understand most of the language among magical creatures and respond accordingly.
Patting the little wolf cub’s head to signal her not to move around, Violet smiled at the doll-like girl whose face was filled with the words ‘Damn it! I lost!’
“Alright, alright, no need to be frustrated. This is actually quite normal. The power represented by the magical energy source is far beyond what any normal creature can comprehend. If you could solve a problem that has troubled the Ten Thousand Demons Mountains for millennia in just one night, that would be truly unbelievable.”
In the end, Violet just wanted to try a different approach and research direction by letting Eilush give it a shot. With her overseeing it, even if Eilush failed, there wouldn’t be too many unexpected consequences. Despite her carefree demeanor, Eilush wasn’t truly careless. Otherwise, she wouldn’t have been able to create so many intricate inventions.
“Since you can’t handle it, I’ll take Novia with me. Oh, by the way, after handling a few more things, we’re planning to leave here. What about you? Are you coming with us or staying behind?”
