Chapter 212: Chapter 207: If Someone Offends Me, I Will Dig Up Their Ancestor’s Grave

The younger brother unfortunately had terminal cancer. In order to raise money for the treatment, the elder sister was willing to borrow loan sharks. How moving this story is, yet sometimes how desolate it sounds, truly heart-wrenching to hear.

Kelly wiped her tears and said, "My brother is gone, but the debt remains unpaid. I really have no other choice but to scam and steal money."

Ye Tian suddenly understood why the restaurant owner turned a blind eye to Kelly’s theft. It was not just indulgence, but also pity.

"You are very strong, and life will definitely get better," Ye Tian reached out his hand and gently held hers, saying, "But, don’t steal anymore in the future."

"Actually, I don’t want to do this either, I really like playing the violin, and my dream is to perform at the XN Opera House and let everyone in the world hear my music," Kelly said, momentarily brightening as she discussed her dreams.

But upon mentioning the name Alexander, the brightness on her face instantly vanished, replaced by infinite disappointment and panic.

Dreams, such wonderful things, yet for her at the moment, they were so unattainably fragile, shattered upon touch.

Ye Tian had never imagined this female thief would have such a bitter story, he was even a bit moved, and even wanted to stay and help her, regretfully, he had his own limits and did not want to get caught up in this whirlwind.

"Here’s 500 dollars, hoping it can help you." That was all Ye Tian could do for her.

"No, I can’t take your money," Kelly immediately refused.

"You don’t have a single dime in your wallet, and without these 500 dollars, even eating tonight would be a problem. Face is a good thing, but compared to a hungry stomach, it’s trivial," Ye Tian had clearly seen the content of her wallet earlier.

After forcibly stuffing the money into Kelly’s hand, Ye Tian stood up to leave. He didn’t want to linger any longer, knowing from Kelly that Alexander’s influence was not insignificant, and he would likely find this place soon. He wasn’t afraid of local thugs; he just didn’t want the trouble.

However, Kelly grabbed Ye Tian’s hand and wouldn’t let go.

"Unless you listen to me play a violin piece, I won’t take the money," Kelly insisted stubbornly.

"What if I don’t go?" Ye Tian smiled wryly.

"Then I’ll just follow you until you change your mind." Kelly was resolute.

Ye Tian had no choice but to nod, "Alright, start now then."

Kelly joyfully said, "My house is not far from here, we can get there in ten minutes, let’s go, I’ll take you."

Ye Tian was surprised, "I didn’t say I would go to your house, don’t get the wrong idea."

Kelly explained, "The violin is at home, you can only hear me play if we go there, now can you come with me?"

Ye Tian shrugged, a bit amused, thinking to himself how forthright foreign women were, inviting a man home on the first meeting. If it were in Jiang City, tsk, the gossip would drown someone.

Indeed, Kelly hadn’t lied; her home was really close, just a ten-minute walk.

The building was an old-style apartment, commonly seen in Chile, with peeling wall paint and creaking wooden stairs; the corridor walls adorned with Van Gogh’s Starry Night and Sunflowers, covered in dust.

Kelly’s apartment was on the second floor, easy to access.

As she fumbled for the keys at the red door, sounds of moaning from inside could be heard, making Ye Tian feel awkward, but Kelly seemed accustomed to it, entering as soon as she opened the door.

Ye Tian thought to himself how open foreign women could be. If it were Yun Xinyan and Liu Fei’er, they would probably be blushing with embarrassment by now, even the rough Wang Bingbing might feel awkward, but Kelly was nonchalant, striding in confidently.

Kelly led Ye Tian into the inner room and closed the door.

"Don’t misunderstand. The voice earlier was Catherine, and the man was her client. We are co-living, not very close. This room is mine," Kelly explained crisply, making Ye Tian understand immediately.

It made sense, as the penniless Kelly couldn’t afford the exorbitant rent alone, so co-living was the long-term plan.

Ye Tian smiled wryly.

Compared to the sultry Catherine’s room, Kelly’s room was much tidier. The bedding wasn’t perfectly folded, but there was nothing to complain about, no trash on the floor, and there was even a faint pleasant scent in the room.

"Would you like some water? I don’t have much to offer," Kelly said, somewhat embarrassed.

"No need," Ye Tian sat on her bed, the only place to sit as her home had no chairs.

The storm outside continued unabated, Catherine’s moans growing louder, both Ye Tian and Kelly could hear it; the latter just shrugged, signaling understanding.

"You said you play the violin, it’s this one, right?"

Ye Tian picked up the violin case hanging near the bedhead, a clean, pale yellow case, painstakingly kept dust-free, showing Kelly’s cherishment.

"What would you like to hear, Beethoven or something else?" Kelly asked professionally.

"Anything will do, then let’s go with Beethoven," Ye Tian casually picked a piece.

Kelly solemnly opened the violin case, adjusted the strings, and began to play silently.

As the melodious music started, Kelly’s demeanor transformed. She was no longer the thief darting through the streets and alleys but rather, she seemed to don a glamorous evening gown, standing in the grand hall of fine arts, becoming an exceptionally talented musician.

Ye Tian’s eyes widened.

The violin, an instrument with a soul, played Beethoven’s "Fate" Symphony, which was bold and intense with its ups and downs, much like the vicissitudes of life. It made the listeners’ emotions fluctuate, as if they were experiencing the highs and lows of life, with destiny undulating with the twisting notes.

Attentive Ye Tian soon noticed the glistening at the corner of Kelly’s eyes; perhaps recalling her own troubled fate made this stubborn girl cry.

This was Kelly playing music with her heart. Ye Tian was immersed in it, recalling the days of blood and thunder in the dark world, the resolute decision to retire, and his experiences after arriving in Jiangcheng, much like the name of the piece, destiny!

Before Beethoven’s classic piece had even finished, Kelly was already crying uncontrollably, perhaps due to her isolation; she embraced Ye Tian.

She was like a wounded kitten, trembling, crying, and utterly heartbroken in Ye Tian’s arms.

Ye Tian did not push her away. He knew her wounded heart needed comfort, a shoulder to cry on. In this atmosphere, if he had chosen to reject her, he wouldn’t have been worthy of being called a man, or even a human.

Kelly cried for a long time, her tears soaking Ye Tian’s clothes.

"I knew you were a good person from the start," Kelly nestled in Ye Tian’s arms.

"I also knew you were not a bad person," Ye Tian said.

After these words, the two entered a silence.

Teary-eyed Kelly gazed into Ye Tian’s eyes, those dark eyes like an endless night, full of mystery, giving her the sense of security and intrigue she had always longed for.

Ye Tian gazed back into her eyes, those blue eyes like the vast ocean, filled with surging passion, just like her fiery body, irresistible to anyone.

Next door, Catherine and her client were reaching the climax, the voice going from high to piercing, each Spanish sentence laden with swear words, provocative and incredibly sensual.

On this side, Kelly slowly kissed Ye Tian’s lips.

Da da da!

Suddenly, the sound of a handgun firing erupted, followed by screams from outside the door.

"Not good!" Ye Tian jumped up and dressed.

The sudden sound of gunfire shocked Kelly, making her crouch on the ground, totally flustered.

"The gunfire came from outside," Ye Tian said as he opened the door slightly and peeked out.

Outside Kelly’s bedroom was a mess, with hundreds of bullets piercing the old security door, leaving dense bullet holes, turning Catherine’s room into a beehive.

Poor Catherine and her male client had died bewilderingly in ecstasy, perhaps for her kind, such a death was better than clinging desperately to life.

After the semi-automatic gun had sprayed bullets, someone shot at the door lock twice, and the security door immediately cracked open.

Finally, the door was kicked open, and a group of armed men in black shouted in Spanish as they entered.

"You, go check if the people on the bed are dead!"

"You, go see if there are any others."

"Everyone, be careful. We must kill the guy who killed Adam, and let those foreign old men know, I, Alexander, am not to be trifled with!"

Ye Tian’s brow furrowed as he assessed that these men were here for him and Kelly, judging from the one who called himself Alexander and was sucking on a cigar. A murderous intent flashed in his eyes.

Making a shushing gesture to Kelly, and quietly warning her of the danger, Ye Tian gently closed the bedroom door and barricaded it with an old desk.

"The men are from Alexander," Ye Tian said.

Kelly’s face turned pale, just the name alone was enough to terrify her, not to mention everything else. Her worst fears had come true.

"What do we do now?" Kelly asked anxiously.

"If no one offends me, I don’t offend. If someone offends me, I disturb their ancestors’ graves!"

Ye Tian’s gaze turned sinister as he spoke in the authentic slang of Jiangcheng. Kelly might not have understood, but she realized that this Asian expert was about to take action.
