After he finished speaking, he viciously kicked Adam Owens next to him. May Morgan clearly heard a painful grunt from Adam Owens beside her, frightening her so much that her body shook. 𝘧𝘳𝘦ℯ𝓌𝘦𝒷𝘯𝑜𝑣𝘦𝓁.𝒸𝘰𝓂
"Victor Grant, what are you doing? Can’t you talk properly? Adam Owens wouldn’t assassinate your father for no reason; someone must have instructed him."
"You’re right. I think the same now, so I’m interrogating him to find out who ordered him to do it!"
After Victor Grant finished speaking, he punched Adam Owens, tied up beside him, again, directly distorting his face.
"Speak, who ordered you to do this? Was it Vincent Vance? Hmm?" Victor Grant grabbed Adam Owens by the head, lifting him despite his complete lack of resistance, and threatened him harshly.
Listening to Victor Grant’s interrogation of Adam Owens on the phone, May Morgan’s heart trembled: "Victor Grant, I’m begging you, please don’t torment Adam Owens like this, okay? He’s weak, he can’t endure this kind of torment, just hand him over to the police, let them handle it, can you?"
"No way!" Before May Morgan could finish her plea, Victor Grant decisively and bluntly refused her: ’This is my family business, why the hell should I let the police interfere? Since Adam Owens had the guts to assassinate my parents, he should have the guts to accept my interrogation!’
As soon as he finished speaking, May Morgan clearly heard another sound of pain from Adam Owens on the phone, unsure of what method Victor Grant was using to torture him.
Seeing reason couldn’t get through, May Morgan bit her lip and threatened Victor Grant: "Victor Grant, the Owens family isn’t easy to bully either. If you torture Adam Owens like this, the Owens family will never let you off!"
"So what? If they have the guts, let that old hag come to settle accounts with me. Oh, and Oscar Owens, doesn’t he always treasure his son? If so, let all the Owens family come over. If I’m scared, then I won’t be a Grant!"
"Enough already, Victor Grant, what do you want?" May Morgan knew half of Victor Grant’s tormenting Adam Owens was for his father, and half was for her. Now, to save Adam Owens’ life, she had no choice but to compromise again.
"What do I want? I want you to come see me torturing the man. Do you dare to come?" Victor Grant sneered coldly, turned to instruct his subordinate beside him: ’Go drive and bring the young lady over, if she’s unwilling, don’t force her.’
"No, I’ll go, but before I arrive, you can touch Adam Owens!" May Morgan took a deep breath, steeled herself, and said to Victor Grant.
"Alright, I promise you!" On the phone, Victor Grant’s smile became increasingly cold, making one shiver like a devil from hell.
Half an hour later, the car responsible for picking up May Morgan arrived. When May Morgan got up, her body was so weak she wobbled standing up. The servant beside her couldn’t bear to watch and followed, supporting her to see Victor Grant.
The car slowly arrived at the Grant Residence, finally stopping in front of the basement of a villa adjacent to the Grant Residence.
"Young lady, the eldest young master is inside, would you like to come in with me?"
As the subordinate opened the basement door, the smell of blood hit, scaring the servant beside her who quickly closed her eyes, not daring to look.
Seeing her shiver in fear, May Morgan kindly instructed her: ’Stand at the door, don’t come in!’
This basement looked eerie and terrifying, the servant gratefully looked at May Morgan and obediently stayed at the door to guard.
May Morgan glanced at her, said nothing, and turned to follow Victor Grant’s subordinate inside.
Before going in, she stealthily dialed Vincent Vance’s number from the phone she had taken from the servant’s pocket, and then set it to silent mode.
When Vincent Vance received the mysterious call, he didn’t know why, but he felt it was from May Morgan, so he immediately answered it.
Sure enough, once the call connected, Victor Grant’s voice came through clearly from the other end of the line.
At that moment, he had already driven to Beldon City.
Entering the room, what greeted him was Adam Owens bound and covered in blood in the center of the basement, making May Morgan cry out in anger.
"Victor Grant, what are you doing? How can you treat Adam Owens like this?"
May Morgan, on the verge of collapse, tried to rush over to get Adam Owens, hanging from the beam, down, but was stopped by someone beside her.
Victor Grant slowly turned his head, glanced at May Morgan, then suddenly turned and punched Adam Owens in the face. Adam Owens, already tortured to the brink of unconsciousness, spit out a mouthful of blood with the punch.
"Hurts, huh? I told you before, the more you care for someone, the more I want to torment them!" Victor Grant coldly snorted, then suddenly kicked Adam Owens in the ribs.
The kick landed right where Adam Owens was injured, causing him to scream in pain and faint again.
"Victor Grant, are you mad? How can you torture Adam Owens like this?"
May Morgan, not as strong as before, managed to come all this way supported by others, so although she wanted to save Adam Owens, she was powerless.
The only hope now was to place all trust in Vincent Vance on the other end of the call.
"Keeping Adam Owens in your Grant family’s basement is illegal. If anything happens to Adam Owens, the Owens family won’t let you off."
Knowing that Vincent Vance was on the other end of the line, May Morgan intentionally mentioned Adam Owens’ specific location.
Victor Grant, not expecting her private contact with Vincent Vance, said arrogantly: "Then let the Owens family come over, I’m not afraid. Today I’m going to beat their sole heir to death, extinguishing their line completely."
"Enough, this wasn’t Adam Owens’ intention. Can’t you see? Adam Owens has been injured before and didn’t know your parents; why would he suddenly come to kill them?"
"Right, you’re right, but this bastard is tight-lipped. I’ve always wanted to give him a chance to live, yet he refuses to say a word. What do you suggest I do, hmm?"
After Victor Grant spoke, he grabbed Adam Owens’ drooping head, looked at his unconscious face, and instructed his subordinate beside him: ’Wake this bastard up!’
"Yes!"
The subordinate hurriedly fetched a bucket of ice water and poured it directly over Adam Owens, whose body shuddered and slowly regained consciousness.
Seeing him awake, Victor Grant grabbed Adam Owens’ shirt and threatened: "Owens, I’m warning you, if you don’t speak honestly, I’ll show you what hell on earth means."
Adam Owens blankly lifted his gaze to Victor Grant, seemingly not understanding what he was saying, then lowered his head again, remaining silent.
Seeing him like this infuriated Victor Grant, who tossed his head aside, turned to a nearby table, grabbed a syringe filled with some substance, and prepared to inject it into Adam Owens’ arm.
