Zombie Queen transmigration into a book-Chapter 141: Do you hear that?
Eva lay on the bed, the breeze softly fluttering her tent flaps, the sound gradually lulling her to sleep.
She enjoyed a full and satisfying meal but completely forgot her promise to Ethan. Now her eyes felt heavy, and she was about to fall asleep when she saw a shadow out of the corner of her eye.
Her heart skipped a beat, and her eyes widened instantly, thinking she had seen a ghost, but upon seeing Ethan’s figure, she patted her chest in relief.
"You almost scared me to death. Why are you here?" Eva asked as she tried to straighten up, but lay back down, too tired to move.
Ethan stopped in his tracks, and a helpless smile played on his lips. "Have you forgotten what you promised me by the stream...hmm?"
Eva froze slightly at his words, staring wide-eyed as he sat on her bed. He leaned in and claimed her lips, blocking the refusal on the tip of her tongue.
Ethan deepened the kiss, his hand threading through her hair as he pulled her closer, devouring her lips like a man parched for water.
Eva’s mind slowly blanked out, and her hand wrapped around his shoulders, fully immersed in the sensation and at his mercy.
Time passed, and just as Eva felt she might faint from lack of air, Ethan gently bit her lower lip before letting go, leaving her lips glistening and swollen. A thin string of clear liquid connected them as they both panted for air.
"Hh...that was...overwhelming..." Eva murmured, panting for air; she was already doubting her thoughts that sex would be less intense with only Ethan.
"Don’t worry, just one round and I’ll let you sleep..." Ethan’s hoarse voice drifted into her ears like a devil’s whisper, tempting her to fall into a trap that other women before her had fallen into.
Eva gently caressed his chin and nodded in acceptance, thinking it would end quickly so she could go back to sleep—but nothing of the sort happened. In the end, both of them faced disappointment that night.
Ethan’s lips curled slightly in a sly smile, quickly hidden as he nibbled on her nape. He slowly unbuttoned her clothes, kissing down her collarbone with gentle, deliberate care, as if he were touching the most exquisite gem.
Eva giggled softly, feeling ticklish at his touch, but stiffened slightly when his calloused, warm fingers slipped beneath her clothes, brushing her skin and sending a jolt of electric tingles down her spine.
Ethan’s actions grew bolder, his fingers tracing her stomach and moving upward to her chest; the buttons came undone, revealing her milky skin to his darkened gaze.
He cupped her breasts, which were full and filled out completely in his palms, and a soft moan escaped her lips as he squeezed and fondled gently.
He leaned in and took a nipple into his mouth. Eva’s toes curled, and a moan escaped her lips as he sucked hard.
"S-Slow~" Eva’s words were muffled by her moans, her fingers sank into his hair to pull him away, but instead she pulled him closer—her body clearly betraying her.
Ethan’s eyes flashed as he carefully controlled his power, his tongue growing icy as he licked a nipple already hardened by the cold.
Eva moaned, moving deeper into the bed, her fingers tightening in his hair, and the sudden cold sensation on her sensitive skin confused her mind.
"What are you, mmm!" Eva moaned, a satisfied purr escaping her lips, her head thrown back at the sudden intrusion into her lower lips—cold and heat mingling, sending waves of pleasure straight to her brain—as Ethan’s cold finger thrust into her in a slow, steady rhythm.
Ethan observed her positive reaction to his action, prompting him to thrust more quickly. Her warm pink walls tightened around his finger, sucking and clenching around his cold finger, sending waves of mental pleasure directly to Ethan’s brain. 𝕗𝕣𝐞𝐞𝘄𝐞𝚋𝚗𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗹.𝚌𝕠𝚖
He let go of her nipple with a loud pop, its nub glistening and hard beneath his predatory stare.
"Slow... down... too much... hh..." Eva moaned incoherently under his thrust, her back arched as squelching sounds echoed through the tent.
Ethan admired her flushed face, her watery gaze filled with desire, and leaned in to claim her lips when a familiar voice called out from outside the tent, freezing Ethan and Eva in place.
"Eva! Are you awake?! Eva!" Aaron called out, holding the shoulder-length sword with a doubtful expression. He was sure he had heard sounds coming from her room. ’Or was it my imagination?’
He waited a little longer, and, getting no response, he turned to leave, assuming she was sleeping and he planned to give her the sword tomorrow.
In the tent, Eva’s heart was pounding loudly, her eyes wide with surprise as she nervously stared at the tent flap.
"Is he still out there?" Eva asked in a whisper, her face still flushed with pleasure but with a hint of embarrassment at almost getting caught by her brother.
"Don’t worry, he’s gone," Ethan said, leaning in to kiss her, but when she dodged, he pressed his lips to the side of her mouth instead.
Eva held his head in place, noticing he was about to kiss her again, and pressed her hand over his mouth as she glanced nervously toward the tent entrance.
She felt Ethan’s intense gaze on her, and she looked over to meet his gaze before quickly looking away with a guilty conscience. It felt like she was having an affair the way she was reacting, but she couldn’t help it. It was so embarrassing to continue...
"Mhm..." Her thoughts trailed off as Ethan resumed thrusting, this time adding two fingers. Her body weakened, and her fingers over his mouth loosened—but before they could go deeper, the space around them trembled. A sudden suction force yanked them out, and Ethan’s face twisted in frustration, almost swearing.
But he reacted quickly, helping her put on her clothes just in time as they emerged in the desert. The heavy rain had eased into drizzle, yet gasps and shrieks of pain rang out as it touched their skin—burnt odors mingling with an acidic stench, choking the air and bringing tears to their eyes.
Aaron and Ethan moved swiftly, forming a dome of shadow and ice to shield everyone from the rain. Eva pushed through the crowd, searching for Julian, until she spotted Blaine carrying his unconscious form.
His hands were covered in burn marks, while Julian remained unharmed, showing he had shielded him as best he could. Eva quickly healed him. "Thank you," she said sincerely, pulling out a bed for Julian to lie on.
"Madam, it’s my duty; you don’t need to thank me. Master has done so much for me that I could never repay," Blaine murmured, so softly that Eva, focused on Julian, didn’t hear him.
Finding nothing wrong with Julian, she creased his chin, which had been shaved clean, then sent more energy to him, her heart filled with worry at his unconscious state—but Ethan had explained it was the side effect of going back in time.
Her gaze fell on the snake coiled around his wrist, also unconscious—its bronze scales dull and pale as if lifeless. Her brow furrowed deeply, and she was about to straighten up when a strange sound echoed from outside the dome.
"Do you hear that?" Eva asked, turning to Blaine. He shook his head, and she frowned, stepping closer to the dome’s edge, straining to catch the sound again.
Time passed, and hearing nothing, she was about to dismiss it as her imagination when the hissing sound returned—louder this time.
This time, everyone heard it clearly. They pressed their ears against the dome, unable to see through the darkness, hoping to catch some clue of what was happening outside.
Unbeknownst to them, countless pitch-black snakes were heading toward them like an ocean wave ready to crash down.
