Chapter 101: Biggest Rune Ever

When we went back into the arena, it became visible with naked eyes that Atlas had stopped running.

Savrit Spider started to chase one of the shadow cats. The funny thing was that these cats rarely got tired.

This gave Atlas incredible preparation time.

Immediately, he began to swirl his mana around his body. What he was trying to do was perhaps recognised by the higher-level mages.

There could only be one meaning to this level of mana, and it could only mean one thing.

Atlas instantly raised his palm towards the sky. At that moment, lines began to protrude from his hand. One after the other, the lines overlapped each other and runes began to form.

Atlas had chosen to use the rune arts he had learnt from the Silver Sisters instead of doing something clumsy like using runes on drawn paper.

Each rune formed from each line protruding from his palm continued to move. Atlas, on the other hand, was on the move at that moment, and the runes he had created began to follow him as he moved forward.

Even Cordelia herself couldn’t help but be surprised by what she saw. Even Constantine, known as the Sage of Illusion, who worked on runes, felt a sense of excitement.

Atlas had never done this before, so he was constantly on the move. With each step he took, he left behind shattered runes and began to create new ones.

"AMON, DO WHAT YOU GOTTA DO!!!"

Atlas suddenly shouted towards his cat.

The intelligent mystical beast itself, as if it had read Atlas’ mind, began to circle in a huge area where it was, as the order from its master reached its ears.

While no one could understand what was going on, Atlas himself was circling over an area of perhaps five hundred metres, and the runes in his hands continued to shatter and fall to the ground.

After almost three minutes, the Savrit Spider was getting tired and it seemed that he didn’t even have enough strength to take a step anymore.

Atlas waited where he was, thinking it was time, and then took a deep breath and said, "Amon, Surtur, come."

When the Shadow Cats returned to his shadow, Atlas looked carefully towards the Savrit Spider and then smiled and said, "Let’s see if this thing I’ve been trying to learn for three months will work."

Immediately after that, he extended his left arm towards the shattered runes and then snapped his fingers once:

"SNAP!"

As he snapped his fingers, more than a hundred runes that had been fragmented were suddenly united. Lines began to turn and circles began to form in that huge five-hundred-metre diameter area, and on top of that, the rune itself began to be completed.

Atlas had found this rune in a book called ’God Language Arts’ that Hecate had given him.

During the three months, he had been training, he had wanted to learn a little something in a few rare moments when he took a break, and he had not skipped this book containing valuable information given by a goddess herself.

That taught him how to make this rune.

[Roasting Rune]

This rune was a rune formed by combining exactly 122 runes to be placed one after the other. Atlas, on the other hand, had tried to create runes while moving for the first time and had failed many times, just like Selene said. Each of the 122 times he had failed and the runes had disintegrated.

However, since each of the runes stood side by side, almost as if they were united, and formed the form of the main rune that needed to be made, and since he had created these runes himself, it was very easy for Atlas to bring the runes to themselves.

As soon as Atlas snapped his finger, the mana contained in the runes was activated and then all the rune pieces were joined together.

Atlas was planning to roast the Savrit Spider itself alive.

Even the Silver Sisters, who were watching what was happening when the runes managed to merge one by one, couldn’t help but smile. Atlas had used what he had been given correctly, but even though he had failed repeatedly, he had still managed to combine the runes.

It was one of the rare moments when Atlas was glad to have the memories of his previous life.

The beautiful smile on his face was enough to show everyone that everything was ready.

Once the runes were fully joined, Atlas took a few more steps backwards, then opened his palm again and extended his arm to the starting point of the rune on the ground, perhaps ten metres away from him.

Atlas had used each of the colours of flame on his body to create the runes. Here, in front of everyone, he was going to present all eight flame colours to everyone, without even telling Cordelia.

"Wake up," Atlas said.

With his words, all the sounds in the environment ceased. Even outside the arena, no one was making a sound. The curiosity of what was about to happen seemed to announce the heartbeats of each of them to each other.

"BA-DUMP!"

"BA-DUMP!"

"BA-DUMP!"

Everyone was watching the inside of the arena with the heartbeats that appeared one after the other.

At that moment, the giant rune was activated.

For a few seconds, the sounds of disintegration appeared in the arena in front of Atlas. It was quite low as if to indicate that the runes were not working.

Yet, even under the disappointed looks of those outside, Atlas continued to smile, not noticing anything.

This did not indicate that the runes were not working, but that the rune reaction had begun.

Seconds later, the effect had begun:

"KKSSSSSHHHH-CRACKLE!!!!"

The decibel of the effect sound increased instantly and the event managed to occur immediately after that:

"FWOOOSH!!! WHOOOOOOOM!!!"

A gigantic wall of flame had formed inside the runes. It was an incredible energy. Runes with a diameter of five hundred metres began to glow one after the other, and the rune was able to reach its full effect.

The wall of flames itself was rising into the sky with such high energy that it was impossible for Atlas to see the flames.

"UUUARROOOOGHHHH!!!"
