Chapter 129: Akairon Kingdom

By the time the next day arrived, everything was ready to go.

Atlas had stocked his inventory with enough food and drink to last a year, even if he ate three meals every day. Cordelia and the other Sages, especially Bellatrix, had given him hundreds of potions and pills that would soften his precarious position on this journey.

He wore the black robe Cordelia had stayed up all night sewing with her magic for Atlas.

However, what surprised Atlas the most was who would accompany him on this journey.

Cordelia had made a deal with him to become a Fifth-Grade sorcerer and a Third-Grade Aura Warrior, and she had been told that there had to be someone who could keep him safe on his journey. That was the deal of allowing him to go to the Akarion Kingdom after all.

This gave the Sages a full year to determine who would come to Atlas’ aid. fɾeeweɓnѳveɭ.com

In the end, Cassandra herself was able to choose one person:

"Emma?" questioned Atlas. He hadn’t naturally expected his escort to be Emma, the Eight-Grade mage who had fought right next to him in the slave market raid.

"My lord, I have been chosen to accompany you, and I ask you to trust me as I am above your strength. As your first personal knight, it is a great honour to be able to assist you in your first personal mission." Emma said, and then fell to her knees in front of Atlas and uttered the following words:

"I look forward to serving you as a knight of the Duchy of Shorekeeper."

Atlas smiled widely after hearing these words. It would be fair to say that he was really happy. He wouldn’t dare to doubt Emma’s abilities. After all, Emma was no weakling. To put it bluntly, every aura and magic knight, young or old, who trained under Eva was a monster.

This was evident in the battle for the slave market.

One by one, each of the knights who had stayed with Duke Bhagholir had managed to split the sea of monsters that continued to overflow out of the barrier, like Moses himself, and drew attention to themselves with the whole army for Atlas.

Those who had fought alongside Atlas had fulfilled their duties with a perfect type of connection, coordination and trust.

Emma was the second in command of Eva, who led this group.

In other words, Emma herself was none other than Eva’s right-hand woman under the direct command of the Emperor of the Epsilon Empire.

Even this was a rank that was close to impossible to obtain.

"It is an honour to have someone like you under my command, Emma. I wasn’t able to communicate properly with you and the rest of the group when we met before, so let me reintroduce myself," Atlas said suddenly.

With a big smile, he uttered the following words:

"My name is Atlas Shorekeeper. I am the disciple of The Sage of Eternity Cordelia, the favourite of the Sages, the younger brother of Eva, the Judge of the Battlefield, and the first Duke of the Fourth Duchy of the Epsilon Empire. Do you willingly consent to serve me for the rest of your life?"

When Atlas had finished, Emma bowed her head, looked down at Atlas’ feet and said, "I would be honoured, my lord."

With that answer, Atlas pulled the Sacred Swordman’s Holy Sword from his inventory and placed it first on Emma’s right shoulder, then her left, and finally over her head.

"From this day forward, then, Emma, you are appointed the first knight and knight captain of the Duchy of Shorekeeper, and you will live as my right hand. You are not allowed to die unless I give you permission."

"Rise, the first knight of the Shorekeepers."

With Atlas’ words, Emma suddenly stood up and bowed to Atlas, shouting, "I will not let your good words go to waste, my lord!"

Immediately after that, the door to the room Atlas was in opened and all seven of the seven Sages entered.

Emma took a few steps back in respect and bowed to the Sages. Even she couldn’t think of a way to describe the look of happiness on the young woman’s face.

"You look ready," Cordelia muttered. There was still a trace of worry on the ancient woman’s face, but she still seemed to believe that Atlas had to go.

Atlas nodded his head upon hearing those words and replied, "Yes, Professor."

"All right, come with us," Cordelia said with a sudden smile on her face as she invited Atlas and Emma, who was right behind her, to join her.

After almost ten minutes the strange group of 9 had managed to walk to the other end of the academy. There was only one purpose for their arrival here. To use the teleportation tower.

When Cordelia covered Atlas with her magic and ascended to the top of the tower, Atlas couldn’t help but marvel at the sight of the snow-covered land.

8 Sacred Flames seemed to have even strengthened the heat layer on his body, he didn’t feel a bit cold.

"Get in the middle of that rune formation," Bellatrix muttered and pushed the pair towards the formation.

Cordelia’s voice was heard immediately afterwards:

"Your destination is Drier Palace, the main palace in Ulier, the capital of the Kingdom of Akairon. From here you will be able to start your journey at any time. You may return at any time, Atlas...though I would be more than happy for you to do so as soon as possible."

As Cordelia spoke these words, Atlas and Emma stood side by side in the centre of the rune formation and waited.

With Bellatrix’s sudden activation of the rune formation, Atlas and Emma’s bodies were covered with a truly gigantic mana.

They would be teleported from what could be considered the northernmost point of the continent to the southernmost point of the continent, to a region where the world was getting warmer.

This region was almost 400,000 kilometres away from Globe, the Hero Academy behind the Herria City they were currently on.

It may have taken the Sages a short time to set up such a teleportation setup, but if Atlas had tried it with all his friends at the peak of his power, he may have had to spend four or even five months.

After all, the Epsilon Continent, the continent that the Epsilon Empire was named after, was HUGE.

As the teleportation process began, Atlas realised that his body was starting to disappear from the bottom up.

"Good luck Atlas. I hope you find your friend." Cassandra said with a smiling face. At that moment, Atlas disappeared with Emma right next to him.

When Atlas disappeared with Emma, Cordelia turned directly to Juliet and then said, "Are you ready? I’ve already ordered the king and the royal family to shut up, you can go."

Juliet nodded and said, "I’m ready, I just needed to give a few orders anyway." and the teleportation circle that Atlas and Emma had just been standing on started to change.

It was like setting coordinates.

When Juliet stepped into the circle, she realised that her body was covered with mana and when she opened her eyes again, she realised that she was where Cordelia had informed her.

In front of her stood several servants, two knights and a woman.

"Welcome, honoured lady, esteemed The Sage of Nature. It is an honour to meet you."

This woman was none other than Penny, the second princess of the Akairon Kingdom. To put it bluntly, she was one of the purest of hearts in the entire royal family. She was always trying to help her people who were under bad rule, and she was always careful to give away what she earned.

Penny was a true noble.

"Atlas must have arrived, right?" Juliet questioned immediately.

Penny bowed her head gently and said, "Yes, my lady. As Lady Cordelia ordered, we will not mention your presence to young master Atlas. Madame Emma is already aware of you."

Juliet nodded and then said, "If Atlas tries to leave, let me know. I want three meals, three pieces of beef ribs at each meal, lots of vegetables and orange juice if possible. You may leave."

Penny nodded as if she understood and left the room after writing everything down.

On the other side of the palace, Atlas was currently seated at the other end of the table where exactly twenty-three nobles and royalty were gathered just downstairs in the throne room, facing the king.

"Lady Cordelia has informed us of your arrival, young master. We have been ordered to fulfil your wishes in full," said the king of Akairon.

This man was Leo Akarion himself.

He was the one who was called ’Pure King’ and ’Good Hearted Man’.

To put it briefly, he was one of the few people who caused the Kingdom of Akairon not to collapse yet. If there were still rulers and rules in this kingdom, it was all thanks to this man and his family.

Atlas had a lot of things he wanted to change.

Especially with each of the 7 Sages behind him.
