Chapter 130: I Will Change The Kingdom For You

Atlas had a lot he wanted to change.

Especially with every single one of the 7 Sages behind him.

He kept looking around the room at the nobles, trying to see if any of them were people he had known in his old life.

Even if a few of them bit his eye, he could tell they were not evil rulers over the kingdom.

He was relieved that none of the future personalities were here.

"First of all, Your Majesty, I would like to thank you for having me among you, even for a while. I prefer to introduce myself diplomatically and personally," Atlas muttered.

When King Leo nodded, Atlas nodded and spoke in a gentle tone:

"My name is Atlas Shorekeeper. I am the First Duke of the Fourth Ducal House of the Epsilon Empire. I am the only disciple of Cordelia, the first Sage, and although it is not entirely clear at this time, I am likely to be the husband of Cassandra, the second Sage, in the future. Nice to meet you."

All the nobles looked at each other as Atlas introduced himself. Atlas couldn’t imagine how much his value had increased even with the words he said with the second Sage.

"I came here to find someone. I have two reasons, though: the first is to find that person, and the second is to end the slavery system in this kingdom," Atlas suddenly said.

With that, all the nobles looked at each other again as if surprised.

"You know what kind of mission I see, don’t you, Your Majesty Leo?" Atlas asked immediately.

King Leo shook his head up and down after these words and then said, "You have the title of ambassador of two worlds. The Great Epsilon Empire and the one who turned the incredibly long independent Bijoux family into a friend of the empire..."

"I think you understand what I’m trying to do," Atlas said immediately after nodding in agreement.

All of the nobles gulped, each of them barely breathing, as if what each of them feared was about to happen to them. If the Epsilon Empire took them by force, they would all die, but they couldn’t imagine doing anything about it.

With Atlas being one of the Dukes of the Empire, and the things he had said about Cassandra, even the Sage of Life, Cassandra herself, must have actively become a friend of the Empire.

Even if Cassandra was not involved, the woman who was more frightening than her, Cordelia herself, was in this formula.

"Are you going to... destroy us, Duke Shorekeeper?" King Leo asked with great fear. The members of the royal family standing right behind him and the second princess, who had just arrived in the room, heard his question and were inwardly frightened.

Atlas, on the other hand, sent a strange expression towards the nobles in front of him and then said, "You did not understand what I said. Last time I checked, the Kingdom of Akairon was a passive kingdom. Even if it has an incredible number of problems within itself, it has a king who cares about his people but cannot do anything." and then scratched his head and said the following words:

"What I want to do is to cleanse the kingdom of the evils within it. The Epsilon Empire had to deal with devil worshippers, but we never found any angel worshippers, which meant that they were afraid to enter Epsilon, which forced me to look at the entire continent."

"Now I ask you, Your Majesty," Atlas said with a serious expression.

"You have no kingdom that has existed as long as the Epsilon Empire or the Elven Kingdom. Yet you were a passive yet great enough kingdom to have survived for close to a hundred thousand years. Why did you become perhaps the most despicable kingdom in the world just before you came to power?"

When Atlas asked this question to King Leo, everyone stayed where they were for a few seconds. Even Emma herself hadn’t realised that Atlas would say such things.

"I ask you this not as a duke of the Empire, O King Leo. I ask you this as one who wishes to be a friend of your kingdom in the future," Atlas added and then reached for his inventory.

One by one, he pulled out the fake and old scroll-like items he had made in the few spare moments he had before coming to the kingdom and during his training.

[So you’re finally getting started, Atlas, on your plan.] Nyx sent a message.

Atlas shook his head and placed all the scrolls on the table where the nobles were gathered.

The dark, sour and suffocating air emanating from the scrolls seemed to be starting to worry everyone.

Atlas had specially made these scrolls. He had learnt many, many things in his previous life, including black magic itself.

They may have been angels or demons, but both races specialised in black magic, and even if Atlas didn’t have an enemy in this room, he had someone he thought existed in this kingdom.

"As you can see from what is written on the scrolls, these scrolls were sent to Liam the Merchant. Do I need to explain who sent them?" Atlas said, and with that, he revealed the help he had asked Nyx for when he was training on false evidence.

"Great Goddess, please help me to prove that the evidence is real, for if I am lying, I risk being destroyed by the lightning of Olympus," he said as he held his hand over the scrolls.

Of course, no matter how much time passed, nothing happened, only a purification of the scrolls to make them easier to read, as if by Nyx’s power.

"As you can see, Your Majesty, even though I have two main reasons for coming here, I am sure you do not wish to see the people of this country oppressed any longer. Please, let me sort everything out for you."

"I will change the Kingdom for you."
