Antihero In the Hero Academy: I Can Connect the Past Heroes-Chapter 41: The Possible Scene
Chapter 41: The Possible Scene
Atlas shook his head when he heard those words, as if he couldn’t understand what he was hearing...As the seconds ticked by, it seemed to dawn on him:
"WHAT!!!"
Neither Perseus nor the people around seemed to have expected Atlas’ sudden shout. Even Andromeda, who was walking around, seemed surprised.
When he realised what he had done, he let out a small cough and then said, "Forgive me. I was surprised for a moment, sir."
"Haha...Here you go." Perseus replied and handed the book to Atlas while his bright smile reflected the sunlight.
As soon as Atlas took the book in his hand, the book disappeared and his head suddenly began to ache incredibly.
Dozens of stances, attack styles, defence styles, slashing and piercing styles appeared in his mind. The information flowing into his mind was incalculable, indeed, a tremendous amount of information began to occur in his head.
The pain that had entered his head soon turned to agony, and even though it was the kind of pain he could bear, Atlas involuntarily put his hands to his head.
At that moment, several system windows began to form in front of his eyes:
[Mother of the Night asks if you’re okay.]
[Death Incarnate notes that this is the first time he’s seen his mother so worried.]
[Strife Incarnate states that she is angry with you for upsetting her mother.]
[All-Seeing Eyes expresses surprise that he encountered such a sight on the occasion of his visit to Olympus.]
After seeing and reading a few dozen messages, Atlas finally came to himself, and with that, he took a deep breath and let it out.
It was then that he realised that among the system messages he had read were many gods and goddesses he recognised. Nyx and her children, Thanatos and Eris. On top of that, even Odin himself, who was worshipped in one of the northern continents, was here.
Atlas had never encountered anything like this before.
After all this pain, Atlas was able to realise the value of what he had obtained. The book was neither a passive nor an active ability.
There were perhaps more than ten thousand battle styles that had settled in his mind. He had learnt a lot about the different uses of different weapons. It was as if there was no weapon he no longer knew how to use.
"You seem to like what I gave you. I’d be sad if you didn’t like it, after all, I got a beating from the great goddess when you chose me, I should at least be able to make you happy." Perseus suddenly said.
Atlas smiled after hearing this and said, "I’m sorry, sir." He did not stop there and then said, "My lady, please watch your behaviour, it is not very ethical for a great goddess to beat a young hero."
Each of the gods and goddesses watching what was happening from the dimension of the gods was frozen by Atlas’s words. Time itself, Chronos, and even Typhon, the Dreaded Dream of the Gods, regarded Nyx as an equal individual and treated her with respect, while the words of a mortal would of course surprise them.
Silence fell for a few moments, and as Atlas tried to gather his wits, another system window appeared before him:
[Mother of the Night expresses regret and tells that she is perhaps sorry to Perseus].
Even if Atlas didn’t realise it, the message was enough to seriously open the eyes of the realm of the gods, or at least the eyes of those watching what was happening. Even Perseus was frozen in place.
Atlas already knew Nyx wouldn’t be angry. Nyx might have forgotten him, but no one knew better than Atlas how kind-hearted this woman was. Even her children didn’t know their mother as well as he did.
Nyx had been there for him in his darkest moments, she had been there for him in his happiest, she had watched him when he cried or got angry, when he smiled and laughed. If Atlas didn’t know this woman that well, he didn’t deserve her friendship.
"Look, it’s all settled. Come on, who do you think Lady Nyx is? She’s not some woman who goes around spreading death. If she were, even Zeus would be dead by now, let alone Perseus, right? After all, when Zeus himself chased Hypnos, Nyx only stopped Zeus, right?" Atlas said suddenly and then yawned and stood up.
With that, he moved away from the hard floor of the house and lay down on the grassy area and then said, "Well, I’m ready, sir, if I’m going to faint, please do it now."
It would not be wrong to say that it was quite a tragicomic image. Atlas, who had just a few minutes ago spoken to the most powerful person in the universe, was now lying on the grass to avoid fainting on a hard place.
It was unbelievable.
"Umm...thank you, young man?" Perseus said suddenly, unable to stop himself from laughing, and then snapped his fingers.
With that, Atlas’ eyes began to darken again. He had a lot of things to ask Perseus, but it wouldn’t be fair to say that he cared about them right now. He wanted to go back as soon as possible and try what he had got his hands on.
When Atlas regained consciousness, he opened his eyes in his room and stood up and drank water.
For some reason, just like last time, when he regained consciousness, he was filled with an insane desire to drink water.
Immediately after that, he sat back on his bed and then took a short shower and left his room, even though it was late.
He went from corridor to corridor and down to the lower floors. After a short while, he arrived at the Training Grounds and realised that the lights were still on.
Thinking that there was no one else crazy enough to come here at this hour, a few shouts echoed in his ears as he entered: ƒгeewёbnovel.com
"Come on, come on! Play, dance!"
"A little more dancing and you’ll only get away with a few punches today!"
"Go on, come on, little girl!"
Atlas felt his blood begin to boil when he heard these sentences. He had just encountered the first complete evil that had existed since he had started his life over again.
He started walking towards where the voice came from. If things were as he thought, there would be a lot of bloodshed today.
