Antihero In the Hero Academy: I Can Connect the Past Heroes-Chapter 55: Unexpected Names
Chapter 55: Unexpected Names
"Isn’t that impossible?" asked Aether suddenly, and then added, "It’s inconceivable that you could teleport a Sage undetected."
"It isn’t. As I said, he was someone who had been among us for a very long time, and his betrayal affected me deeply. So while I was grieving for him in that moment, I was also busy watching how my precious student stood up to a professor who was hundreds of times stronger than him." Cordelia replied.
She then turned to Minerva and Lars, before reaching into her magic bag and pulling out a few items for the pair and handing them over.
Aether then turned to Aelia and Eva and said, "Be careful what you eat and drink, don’t even put water in your mouth without letting someone taste it. Seriously, even if everything has become safer, everyone and everything’s nerves are at the limit, you have to be careful," she said, approaching the fireplace-like thing in the room.
"I can’t believe you added a fireplace here, where do you direct the smoke, you idiots?" she questioned, reaching her hand towards the fire in the fireplace.
’I’m close to the academy, I can teleport again, goodbye for now, and lastly...make sure you send good soldiers to Atlas since even if I’m not going with him he shall be successful at his attack,’ Cordelia said without giving the others a chance to answer.
Immediately after that, she merged with the fire. She had officially extended her hand and disappeared.
There was nothing left but Aether asking, "How did he know I would send soldiers to help Atlas?"
When the trio looked at the items given to them, they looked at each other, and then Eva said, "The professor still acts like she can see the future. We should get to work."
It seemed that the Epsilon Empire needed to be remodelled by war.
---
It had been almost six days since Atlas woke up.
He had slept for almost three weeks and rested completely until there was nothing wrong with his body anymore.
After all this time, thanks to the continuation of Professor Frank’s potions, his body had managed to fully recover.
He managed to attend all of his classes, and during this period he managed to catch up on all the lessons he had fallen behind.
Cordelia had already returned by this time, and Kris had released everything he had been hiding until he was completely fed up.
As a result, everything had turned out all right. Several young people who had begun to turn into devil worshippers were interviewed, and each apologised for their thoughts.
Nevertheless, it was the system, not they, that made them turn to evil so easily. Many non-noble youths were unable to find the materials, potions and the like to improve. This pushed them to the demonic mana, which was an easier way to get stronger.
Thanks to Cordelia, everything had managed to work out just fine. Even though the beautiful woman would not accept any of them as her students, she agreed to give them a little training.
This was the turning point for each of them.
It would be fair to say that Atlas began to be seen as a hero in the entire academy. Even though many people had tried to contact him, he had rejected every one of them.
Of the friends he used to know, he had so far only contacted Irene and of those he respected, only Elise. He had to find his other friends and make friends with them again.
Still, despite all that, it wasn’t something he had to worry about right now.
Sitting across from him were the three vampire girls he had saved. At Abraham’s request, Atlas had finally agreed to meet with them.
"Alright. I haven’t met with you because of classes and stuff, but you wanted to meet with me," Atlas said suddenly.
The three young vampire girls looked at each other, and one of them turned to Atlas and said, "We want your serve you."
Atlas first squinted for a few seconds as if he couldn’t believe what he was hearing, then looked up at the ceiling and then at the young vampire girls. Then he couldn’t help but ask, "Say what now?"
"We want to serve you, Master Atlas. You saved our lives, let us be your warriors. We are not so strong now. Unfortunately, we are only third year students with four magic rings, but we will be much stronger in the future, we are sure of it!" another one of them said.
"Alright. Look. I didn’t save you because I wanted you to serve me. When I saw you, I felt sorry for you, I realised that I could have been there instead of you, and I wanted to save you, simple as that. If we hadn’t come so fast to find Kris, you’d be dead already. So I don’t need your thanks or your service," Atlas muttered.
Still, he couldn’t imagine what he was about to hear a few seconds later.
The three young vampire girls looked at each other, and then the girl standing in the middle of them looked at Atlas and spoke:
"We are the three triplets. My name is Lucia Leonardi, to my right is Lisa Leonardi, who was born an hour before me, and to my left is Lyra Leonardi, who was born an hour after me. As you can see from our surname, we are the daughters of the great vampire duke Sullivan."
Atlas couldn’t help but say "Oh..." after hearing these names. That, instantly, changed everything. In his previous life, of course, he knew that there were vampires in the school; he just didn’t know if the duke’s daughters were in the school.
This meant that in his previous life, this trio had not died here. Because if such a thing had happened, Sullivan would have defied even Cordelia herself, even at the risk of dying.
He was the twin of the Vampire Queen Cassandra, one of the most powerful vampires in history and the second most powerful Sage among the Sages.
Cassandra may not have turned against Cordelia, but that didn’t change the fact that there would be a massacre.
This made Atlas face a frightening reality.
Atlas’ actions could have affected the future in a big way. This was terrible news. Only Chaos knew what would happen if the future he knew changed.
