Chapter 97: The Exam Starts

Cordelia had gone to the far end of the private viewing area and everyone sitting in the seats of the coliseum around the arena suddenly stood up and bowed.

The majesty of the Supreme Sage Cordelia was on full display.

The Ancient Woman took one look around and then shouted:

"This academy that I founded in ancient times has managed to educate many senior people. It has sent too many heroes, too many villains, and too many emperors and empresses out as grown-ups. Today we will watch as the first class is selected and the fourth class will fight for their graduation."

"We invite you to pay attention. The professors will select the first years and the fourth years, while the second and third years will continue to progress based on their progress in the exam for their future. As for the fifth-year students... well, they’ll graduate anyway, so do your best, they’re already at their best."

As Cordelia finished, she raised her hand in the air and a huge line-up opened up for everyone to see.

There was no change in the rankings, just like the previous year, all the classes, over five thousand students in the academy, were ranked.

This showed the details of the exam and the importance of ranking. A first-year student could even try to beat a fifth-year student.

"Exam shall start!"

As soon as Cordelia said this, cheers erupted from the coliseum seats. At that moment, the coliseum was divided into a hundred different parts and the arenas were formed one by one.

These areas were places that had been enchanted with space magic, so when the students stepped into the arenas, they would not be stepping into an arena, but into a huge world, a battlefield.

The first hundred students entered in a short time. The first ones to enter would be the fifth grade students.

Starting with one monster, they would start killing monsters, increasing by pairs each time. This was the first test. The further they went, the more monsters they would encounter, and the more monsters they killed, the more powerful they would encounter.

Each of these monsters had been created by Cordelia’s materialisation spell. Each had a certain level of power.

A student could start out fighting a goblin, but as they progressed far enough, they could even gain the ability to fight against the ancient dragons that were the ancestors of the Sage of Illusions Constantine.

Of course, this would require a much higher powerhouse.

Still, it was the very quality itself that showed how far these students could go.

A viewing window was opened in front of each spectator and professor. This window was a spell Constantine had created. It was made to make it easier for the spectators, as they could not see everything quickly. It was almost like a binocular that lets people watch everyone on a small screen, well screens.

Each professor was able to carefully select the students to watch and take notes on them. After all, the main purpose of this exam and the exams that would follow in the following days was to allow the academy professors to recruit individual students.

In this way, the academy would be able to develop the passion and commitment of the students and prevent them from turning into bad people in the future.

And, of course, there were also exams to ensure that the fifth graders would achieve their main graduation.

Starting at the age of 15, academy life ended at the end of term for students in their 20s. And many of them would be already 21 years old.

Each of them would have become mature and, to put it bluntly, powerful individuals in the outside world. There were even those who, like Atlas, had reached the third level of aura and were regarded as future aura warriors and even aura masters.

There were even two geniuses in the fifth year who had managed to create seven magic rings.

So this was going to be an incredibly interesting exam. After all, even if Atlas was powerful, those who were considered Seventh-Grade mages could destroy at an incredibly advanced level just like him.

In short, Atlas had two main rivals among the five thousand people.

Young Atlas didn’t need to impress anyone, though. He had Cordelia herself a personal professor and she was THE Sage.

He just needed to reach the top echelon and avoid any insult to his older sister Eva’s name.

With that, time began to pass. The fifth, fourth, third and second years had finished their exams. At the top of the ranking formed in the sky, the expected names stood in the first two.

In the first place was the Bloom Imperial family member of the Bloom Empire, the owner of the Orion Continent, the second princess Camellya Bloom, the sorceress with seven magic rings, and the first person in a million years to possess the red lightning element known as death lightning.

In second place is crown prince Aster Bloom, a member of the Bloom Imperial family of the Bloom Empire, the Empire that owns the Orion Continent, a sorcerer with seven magic rings and the first person in six hundred thousand years to possess the glowing water element known as holy water.

The two had already been taken as personal students by Dumgrith and Abraham about three years ago. They had only agreed to take the exam in order for their professors to graduate them.

The twins stood at the top of the exam ranking like reigning Sages.

For this reason alone, they had been summoned by Cordelia herself to join their father and mother in the special monitoring zone immediately after their exams.

Now it was time for the first years to take their exams.

When the first hundred of the first years set foot in the arena, most of them managed to last a maximum of five rounds. Even the ones who could be called geniuses fell after ten, maximum eleven rounds and were thrown out of the arena.

After most of the first year students had finished their exams, there were only twelve students left to take the exams, so most of the arenas in the coliseum were destroyed and everyone started to watch the arenas with their naked eyes without even needing Constantine’s talent.

The one who would now set foot in the arena was Atlas himself.
