Beast Evolution System: Devourer of Heaven-Chapter 326: Lizardman
A month passed, Ved and Naledi had been travelling through this mountain range at a leisurely pace.
Not only did he have to hunt to increase his evolution points, they couldn’t travel too fast as they had to navigate around some regions.
However there was good news, due to the abundance of prey here he was able to reach the required evolution points.
Name: Ved Zhakrii
Species: Iron Sky Dragon (141years/45 000 years)(140/140m) Peak Legendary grade
Rank: 5
Abilities(5/5): Trait Assimilation, Soul Force, Aspects integration, Ignition, Gene Mimic
Traits(11/11): Poison secretion, Herculean strength (50 000x), Aquatic, Flash (1000x), Iron scales (3 500 000x), Web Secretion, Electric Discharge, Regeneration, Nuclear Reactor, Avatar, Stealth
Evolution points:(128/ 120)
He had more than enough points but he still delayed his evolution for two reasons. He wanted to gather as many points as possible.
If he evolved, rank 5 prey which were more abundant here than rank 6 would give him less points.
That would make gathering evolution points harder, so he wanted to accumulate as many as possible before evolution.
Secondly, he wanted to integrate at least two aspects. The issue was he was finding it hard to decide what aspects.
He liked how his body looked, he had giant pitch black wings with feathers like blades, two menacing horns that looked like spears. 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝔀𝓮𝒃𝙣𝓸𝒗𝒆𝒍.𝙘𝒐𝒎
He already looked majestic, perhaps a crown of horns, finding a beast with a natural crown of horns would be hard.
The other two options were internal, extra lungs and an extra brain or more. Like his heart, his lungs can increase his stamina.
Stamina was his main source of energy, with more lungs he would be inexhaustible. The brain on the other hand was a bit special.
His regeneration trait and image made him almost unkillable, the brain was his sole weakness, while damaging the brain might not necessarily kill him, destroying it completely certainly would.
With more brains, his chances of survival would increase, though he wondered if that would effect his thoughts.
Maybe his thoughts processing speed would increase or maybe the brains would interfere with each other.
Considering the brain controlled all of the bodily functions, maybe they might even disrupt that.
Or perhaps they would make his reaction much faster, he did not know. Unfortunately he couldn’t find any beast with that aspect either.
He regretted not integrating it back on earth, octopi had nine brains, he just never thought of it, he honestly completely forgot they even did.
He sighed and lowered the heat of the blue flames burning on the ground. Above them rotated a massive bull with a head the size of a house.
Naledi sat opposite him playing with a scarf made from his web. Occasionally she would cut a piece of meat and eat.
He did the same except he ripped out an entire leg. In his human form it was much larger than he was.
They stayed up all night and by morning the bull was gone and only bones remained. He had gained a few more points.
They decided to continue on their journey but they were not in a hurry to leave the mountain range.
He still wanted to hunt as many beasts here as possible. During this time he came to realise something.
Their strength were absolutely insane, most beasts of the same rank couldn’t even survive a single punch of his while he was in his humanoid form.
Which was understandable, most had at most heaven grade bloodline. He had legendary grade.
Not to mention he was a true dragon which made him stronger than most other races on the same grade.
On top of that, his physical strength was above that of an avarage true dragon, comparable to a weaker noble dragon.
Meaning he couldn’t just face mythical grade beings of other races but the top tier amongst them.
Even Linglong couldn’t hold a candle to him when it comes to physical strength and neither could Ursela.
He wondered how those two and everybody else were doing, then he turned his attention to the thing that had just showed up.
He couldn’t explain it but it was certainly not something that existed on earth. It looked like a lizardman but with blue scales instead of the brown or green he usually saw in fiction.
It long arms almost dragged on the ground. One thing for certain though was that it was strong and was strangely wearing leather armour.
And it was accompanied by a few dozen others, they were hunting as a pack, Ved took a fighting stance then paused.
He felt a strong connection with them, a double connection even. One to his bloodline and the other to his king’s authority.
These were spiritual beasts with a dragon bloodline. The leader who had an aura of a manifestation realm expert took a step forward.
Naledi didn’t have such connections with them nor did she know that he did so she drew her sword ready to cut them down.
Since the leaf amulets were hiding their true aura the leader did not look worried, probably believing he can care take of a human woman.
If only he knew, he stood Infront of Ved and scrutinized him then went down on one knee but Ved can see the disdain and greed in his eyes.
" Greetings to your highness." Ved stood frozen, he did not expect this even though he knew the spiritual beasts domain acknowledged him.
These guys seemed quite isolated, he didn’t think they would know of him. " You know me?" He asked.
The lizardman raised his head and looked at him with piercing blue eyes then nodded.
" Our Shaman received word of your grace from the homeland, we were told to welcome you should we encounter you.
The Shaman sensed your presence through our connection and sent us here to welcome you."
Ved understood and nodded, " Well thank you, you can stand."
The lizardman stood up and took a step back. Ved reached out and shook his hand which confused the guy, it seemed shaking hands was not part of their custom.
" Well, it was great meeting you, hope we meet again someday, off we go now." He dragged Naledi and was about to leave.
" I’m afraid you will have to come with us my lord, the chief wishes to speak with you." The man whispered in a threatening tone.
Ved and Naledi stopped, " I’m afraid not." He replied, his aura climbing as he prepared for battle.
" I insist." The lizardman said as he released his own aura. The temperature around them dropped then it started raining.
