Chapter 70: A plan

"Clone illusion? It sounds great." Rocky rubbed his chin slightly for a moment.

He could create clone illusions in fighting, especially if he moved at great speed, even producing several illusions.

For sure, they could distract the enemy at some point, even opening an opportunity that he could exploit.

The next moment, he glanced around, assessing the tide of battle. It appeared they had returned to the upper hand. At this rate, they would win.

He glanced at Bobby, who showed visible excitement after leveling up.

But just a couple of seconds later, Bobby swiftly headed toward the lizardman leader and cruelly landed his knife on the corpse’s head.

Pretty soon, he simply dragged out the brain that was covered in a kind of plant.

Blood-Dark Dodder seeding.

He didn’t expect that seeding to appear in the brain of monsters with high intelligence. He could understand, though. With those monsters, it was hard to control them by common methods. Therefore, the mature blood-dark dodder must plant its seeding into the lizardmen’s brains.

It was good news; now he didn’t have to worry about using seedings.

He could even use the seedings to refine them into pills at this moment.

Bobby tossed that brain into his mouth and then devoured it deliciously. Soon, a feeling of thrill ran through his veins, enhancing every one of his cells.

Strength: 294 → 303

Constitution: 290 → 300

Mana: 296 → 306

Speed: 283 → 296

"It’s quite good." Rocky uttered quietly while nodding in satisfaction.

Rocky observed around carefully and headed over to another lizardman’s corpse.

He summoned a knife and took that corpse’s brain.

Soon, he triggered his [Plant Alchemy] skill, transferring vigorous mana from his palm to that plant.

Ting!

[You’ve successfully created a new pill]

Ting!

[Name]: Mindbind Pill

[Description]: Whoever eats this pill will become a puppet for the first person they see. However, the effectiveness of the pill lasts only a week and has no effect on someone who is mentally strong.

Rocky’s pupils widened for a moment as he looked at the description ahead.

Speechless, Rocky sank into countless thoughts.

"Very convenient."

A week... no... that was enough.

(I should carry that seed to the plant association. Although that plant is quite dangerous and has a lot of risks, I cannot deny its awesome effect.)

Ever since he arrived in this world, plenty of bizarre plants had been exposed. A lot of them had never existed in his world; he could tell they were unique species that he might never encounter again.

Thus, he had to try to carry as many of them as he could.

They would be a huge support for him in the future.

Rocky nodded to himself before heading to another corpse. He dragged the plant out of the corpse’s brain before quickly shoving it into a bark bottle.

He blinked for a while as he gazed at the plant wiggling crazily in the bottle. A few thoughts flashed through his mind.

He glanced at everyone, who had seemingly finished the battle with the monsters.

"Everyone! Listen to me... those lizardmen’s corpses are in the same controlled state by that parasitic plant. Let’s take that plant from their brains and give it to your beasts to eat, because they possess a trait to neutralize the seedlings in their brains."

Rocky finally exposed the truth of the seedlings. Anyway, there were a lot of them at this time, so no conflict would happen over competing for seedlings to save their beasts.

An elf widened his eyes in surprise after hearing Rocky’s words. Despite their suspicions, they still did it.

They opened the corpses’ skulls and dragged out the brains.

They looked at the bizarre plants that had dragged them into this circumstance. The next moment, one of them carried the plant to his beast — the beast he had chained tightly after Rocky released them from the [Aura of Tyran Overlord] skill in the previous clash with the monsters.

To his bewilderment, his face quickly changed from bored and sad to happy.

His beast had been saved... the beast showed no hostility toward him.

A wave of relief spread over everybody as they figured out a way to handle the control from the parasitic plant.

"You did it, Rocky." Tyrone smirked as he saw this scene. At least, they had hope to believe in.

But he sighed afterward, because he knew it was not over yet.

It was just the beginning.

"If only we could sneak into their lair without getting noticed."

Rocky blinked for a moment and nodded.

"Indeed... w-wait..."

Rocky quickly added in an excited voice. Because a plan had just formed in his mind when Tyrone mentioned the matter they faced.

"We can do it."

Just half a second later, he yelled out.

"Hold on, everybody... don’t use the seedlings too soon, because I have a plan for them."

A few hours later.

[Congratulations! You have survived 5 days.]

[300 Days – Day 5: 00:00 remaining.]

Current points: 1,620 points

[90% of your points will be handed over for higher-tier areas.]

Ting!

[300 Days – Day 6: 24:00 remaining.]

Current points: 162 points

Just like that, 6 hours later, everyone woke up and prepared for the day. Because today might be the harshest day of this journey.

As for the plan that Rocky mentioned, they began to take the oversized sacks and bind them onto the beasts’ backs.

Then, they got into the sacks.

Rocky lay in a sack and triggered his [Aura of Tyrant Overlord] skill to control the beasts and headed into the forest.

Rocky’s plan was quite simple.

By using beasts that were controlled by the parasitic plant, they would let them lead the way to their lair. After all, these beasts’ mission was to carry corpses to the mature plant.

" A perfect plan...Why don’t I think about it since meeting the controlled beasts soon?’’

Rocky shrugged his shoulders.

"It’s not a problem. Anyway, I still can fix it. And my beast even had fun at that time."
