Chapter 22: Chapter 22: Confusion

"You don’t look like someone who loves to oppress others so why is your Aura so heavy and suffocating?"

This question completely baffled Lucius as he was still new to these sorts of things plus when he killed Father James, he didn’t feel anything nor was he affected psychologically. He didn’t know where his murderousness came from but if he had to guess, he’d say it came from loneliness.

For as long as he could remember, he had always been alone and it would become worse when reading romance novels or watching romance anime. Of course his family was always there for him but Lucius always longed for a different type of warmth. Warmth that didn’t come from his family and friends but that which came from his soul mate which he didn’t have.

While sitting alone in his room and watching anime, he’d often put himself in the main character’s shoes and ponder about what decisions he’d have taken if it was him. And it always came to one answer, ’I’d kill anyone who makes her cry’. These thoughts would then lead to thinking about killing someone, whether he would feel disgusted, guilty, pity or all those other emotions.

’I’d feel nothing. If someone crosses my bottom line then killing them should be sufficient. And why should I bother myself with irrelevant people.’

He had female friends but when he wanted more than that, they’d just laugh and say he was crazy. It was then that he realised that these girls liked to be around him but not with him. He had so much love to give but none wanted to take it, instead they’d go for the guys who were players and cheated on them. That’s when Lucius started to change but it was subtle changes that were hard to notice.

...

"You don’t look like someone who loves to oppress others so why is your Aura so heavy and suffocating?"

Coming back to Yezi’s question, Lucius smiled. His smile was warm and dazzling but in Yezi’s eyes, this smile reminded him of a certain race and certain group of people.

"Maybe I am the oppressive kind. Just that I never got the chance to show this side of mine. Maybe I am an evil, cold blooded and ruthless killer who wouldn’t hesitate to go for the kill. I truly don’t know." said Lucius and he was telling the truth.

Unlike his temperament and blood where he would have random thoughts, the other changes just happened without his knowledge.

"Boy, I don’t know how you did it but you’re something special I’d tell you that much. Your temper has a fire attribute, your temperament has an ice attribute, your gaze has a piercing effect on the Soul, your emotions are explosive, saliva is acidic, your breath is toxic, your Will is very strong, your Aura is suffocating and your pen... Just how did you accomplish all of this?" asked Yezi with curiosity.

Temperament is developed from an early age and affects one’s emotions and how they think. If you have a cold temperament then you tend to be calmer, don’t talk a lot and don’t interact with others and keep to yourself. Your emotions and feelings are only known by you and no one else. 𝒻𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝘯𝘰𝑣ℯ𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝘮

But when it came to Lucius, logic was thrown out of the window. He had a cold voice but a fiery temper and uncontrollable emotions which should be impossible. Instead of ignoring others like how an aloof person would, Lucius would approach them and speak his mind.

Personality disorder.

...

"WHAAAT?!!!"

All the things Yezi just mentioned, Lucius knew none of them but some of them did make sense. Like acidic saliva, when reading books, he’d lick his index finger before turning to the next page and the part of the page he touched would melt and leave a hole on the page. He didn’t know about the rest.

"From your reaction, I take it that you also didn’t know about your innate abilities but no worries, I’ll help you. As I said before, we’ll start with Aura Control as it’s the most important." said Yezi while Lucius was thinking about something else.

’So I don’t have three lives but many lives and I’ve wasted so many of them while being trapped by Father James.’ he thought.

While at the lab, he hadn’t been counting how many times he had been killed because he always thought that the church brought him back to life every time he died. He came to this conclusion because all these times he was dying, he hadn’t been receiving his random thoughts by which he concluded he’d died twice as Father James said.

And it turns out he was wrong all along, these traits allocated themselves without his permission or knowledge.

’So am I still immortal or not? I have to test it out when I get a chance but what if I’m not? Damn it! Just why did I create such a useless System? I don’t even know if it works or not.’

"Clear your mind of all distracting thoughts and focus. Dig deep within your subconscious and take control of whatever it is that is there. Even if it’s a drop of water, you must take control of it. And once that done you..." Yezi started to guide Lucius.

...

Lucius sat in a lotus position on his bed with his eyes closed and was immersed with whatever he was doing. A few books were scattered on the floor. He took deep breaths and released dark green turbid air. This went on for ten minutes, the strange thing was that the colour of the turbid breath was changing colour. From dark green to green and from green to light green. After another ten minutes passed, the air that Lucius breathed out was completely colourless.

"I’m finally done with the final step! I can finally leave his hell hole and check out the outside world! Damn geezer! Dare to keep me locked up for a fucking entire year! Open the door and let me beat you up!"

Yes, a year had passed since Lucius started his training and he finally finished it today.

"Hey, hey. Don’t blame me for being untalented. At first I thought you were a genius but you’re fucking trash! No! You’re even worse than trash! This training should have latest at maximum a month because I’m the one guiding you but you fucking took an entire year! Brat, don’t go around saying that you’re my disciple or else I’ll disown you!" shouted Yezi from outside the room.

He had thought that he’d picked up gold, who would have thought that this gold he picked up was actually fool’s gold that utterly had no value. He could still remember Anya making fun of him and it was very embarrassing.

"Hahaha, very funny. I remember a certain someone who was very eager to take me in as his disciple."

"Shut up! As your master, you should show me respect! Do you want me to beat you up!" angrily shouted Yezi.

"All you know how to do is threaten me. Old Yezi, I dare you to go and say these exact words to Anya. If she doesn’t beat you up then I’ll concede."

"That darn lass ruined my good disciple!"

Lucius and Yezi’s Master-disciple relationship had improved over the course of the year and were now like family.

"Since you’ve finished your training, it’s time you start helping in the shop. I’ll teach you all you need to know about running this business and only after I think you’re ready will you be allowed to go to the outside world." said Yezi seriously.
