Courting Death System-Chapter 38: CINDY!

The next day, one of the pirates came with a plate of food for Lucius.

"Human, it’s time to eat." said the pirate while opening the small door for putting food. Lucius took the plate but wasn’t sure if whatever this was was edible. He took the spoon and shoved a little bit in his mind and surprisingly found it delicious and so he ate with gusto. Ina few minutes, he was done eating.

"Hey, I’ve finished eating." said Lucius and the small door was opened yet again.

"Before you go, can you please answer some of my questions. Regarding the collision, do you have any intel on that?"

"I don’t think you can handle the truth, but if you really want to know, I shall tell you. It’s no secret actually, well, maybe it is to weak people. Actually, this happened because of a lich, a Lich King to be exact. This lich came to the Walelur World and secretly entered the Dragon Ancestral Lands and actually stole a corpse of a dragon there.

The Dragon King chased after him all the way to your universe where the Lich King had already prepared a teleportation formation and escaped. In his anger, the Dragon King used Dragon’s Breath and destroyed a few universes, yours included. Lucius still wanted to ask where they were taking him but it was already too late.

Days went by and Lucius spoke more with the pirate. After asking the pirate some questions, he noticed that this pirate was very talkative and would answer any of his questions except for when he asked about the Andromeda Empire, the pirate wouldn’t answer any questions regarding the Andromeda Empire like it was taboo.

He’d also learned a lot of information regarding the Walelur Omniversal World. Firstly, if one were to look at the Walelur World from outside, they would see the shape of Walelur which looked like an hourglass. The top part was bright and golden while the lower part was dark and gloomy.

The sand inside the hourglass were planets that living things occupied. They were so small, like grains of dust and it’s said that the stronger one was, the closer to the centre they were and the faster their strength increased. He also learned that the Lich King came from the Lumen World and the reason it came to Walelur World was because Walelur World’s dragons were on par with those of the Cultivation World.

Months went by and finally, the pirate ship was close to its destination. On this day, the whole crew visited Lucius.

"Boy, today is..."

"Captain, why do you keep calling him boy? This guy is older than all of us combined. Shouldn’t you call him grandpa?"

"Shut up you useless thing! As I was saying, today is the day we experiment on your ability so prepare to die." said the captain as he pulled out his gun.

"Do you know what this is?"

"A gun or pistol?" answered Lucius in a monotonous voice.

"It’s a... forget it. Just die."

Captain and his crew looked at the floor covered in Lucius’s brains and blood poured out of his head like a burst pipe and it was causing serious damage to the ship. Lucius’s blood was melting or rather digging through the metallic floor.

"Holy Moly! That’s fucking Black Ore, how can there be something that can burn Black Ore other than Colour Flames! Do something!" shouted the captain in panic. Lucius’s body fell through the melted hole and revived after falling in it. He no longer wore a slave collar as it would be destroyed when the slave dies.

Seeing the damage his blood was inflicting on the ship, Lucius was elated.

’Damn it, why didn’t I think of doing this from the beginning, I would have escaped a long time ago.’ thought Lucius as he jumped through another hole created by his blood. This was possible due to the Spatial Storm that he’d died many times on, it could cut through any physical object.

Lucius even severed his wrists on the sharp metal pieces after the metal had been dug through, this increased the size of the holes the blood made.

"Stop! Stop this instant! Boy, if you continue to dig through the ship, we’ll eventually be sucked into outer space and die! Now stop before you endanger all of us!"

"What does that fucking have to do with me? I can revive, remember?!"

"Shit!"

The escape pods were then launched out of the spaceship and flew towards a nearby planet.

When they were far away enough, the spaceship exploded, releasing a powerful shockwave that spread out in all directions.

"CINDYYY!!!" cried out Captain Godfrey.

"Captain, don’t cry. If we can capture that human and sell him to the nobles of the Andromeda Empire, we can get enough cash to find someone who can bring Cindy back to life. Have you forgotten that part of her core was used to make your eyes, we can use that to revive her. We just need to hire the best mechanic to do the job."

"You’re right. With that human, Cindy can be brought back.
