Courting Death System-Chapter 39: Sugitrox

Lucius woke up yet again in an unfamiliar place but this time, it was different from last time. He was sleeping in a comfy but enormous bed, the ceiling of the room was very high and a golden chandelier lit up the place. The floor was made from wood and the room was very spacious, big enough to be called a double story house. There was also a wardrobe, a dresser and two seats close to the door. In short, Lucius found himself in a luxury room.

The last thing he remembers was cutting a huge chunk of metal from the spaceship to act as his shield. When the spaceship exploded, he blocked and used the force of the explosion to propel himself away. He lost consciousness while drifting away at a fast speed. And now he found himself in this place.

Just then, someone with a cart full of food entered the room. It was an old man wearing a butler outfit.

"Oh, you’re awake. Here, have something to eat to replenish your blood. The young master prepared all this for you so don’t waste it." said the old butler while pushing the cart to Lucius.

"Who are you and where am I?" asked Lucius while eating the food. The old butler didn’t immediately answer Lucius but just watched him eat.

"Aren’t you afraid that the food might be poisoned?" asked the old butler.

"No."

"Why not?"

"Because I don’t care if the food is poisoned or not, so why would I be afraid? Enough with the questions, are you gonna tell me who you are and why I’m here?"

"We found you when patrolling the young master’s territories. An explosion occurred and you appeared close to our spaceship so the young master took you in. When he found you, you didn’t have any blood in your body, I don’t know how you survived such excessive blood loss. As for where you are, obviously in the young master’s territory."

’Am I some kind of lost item that everyone keeps finding?!’

"And who’s this young master you keep talking about? You make him sound like he’s a bigshot around here."

"That’s because he is, the young master is the Crown Prince of the Andromeda Kingdom, and owns countless superclusters." said the butler.

"After you finish eating, take a bath, someone will come to take you to see the young master." said the old butler before leaving.

After eating, Lucius checked his body and found that his wounds had healed but he was very weak at the moment.

’At least I was found by someone else. Who knows what those pirates would do to me if they were the ones who found me.’ thought Lucius as he entered the bathroom.

When Lucius came out of his room, he came out looking fresh in his clothes. He was wearing a white long sleeve silk shirt, black leather pants and boots and a cool looking trench coat. Now, he truly felt like he was in a fantasy world because of the newbie outfit.

He was being led to the young master by a maid, a demi human girl with cat ears and cute appearance. Although he didn’t say anything, he internally appreciated her beauty. They walked through the hall of what seemed to be a huge palace or castle.

"The young master will see you now." said the cat girl as she opened the massive doors and Lucius entered. The floor inside this place was made from silver, the walls too, in fact, everything in here was made from silver.

’Is this the throne room? So big, is this young master a Giant or something. This hall was the size of a football stadium.

"This is gonna take a whi..." Lucius felt his vision blur and the next moment, he was standing in front of a massive figure. A height of ten meters when sitting down.

’A Metallic Human? Wow!’

In front Lucius was a being that took on the shape of a male human but many times cooler. It was like a 100% human shaped robot was dunked in melted silver then taken out, this being had blue digital coloured eyes. Lucius blinked and the texture of this being had changed, now looking like a metallic human wearing a robotic battle suit but not the helmet. Under this being’s gaze, Lucius felt like he’d been completely analysed and seen through.

"Hello human, my name is Sugitrox, Sugitrox Andromeda" said Sugitrox in a deep and majestic voice

"Hello Sugitrox, my name Lucius, Lucius Lothra. Nice to meet you." replied Lucius.

"Well Lucius, I don’t like to beat around the bush. I wasn’t planning on saving you when you suddenly slammed onto my spaceship but after scanning your bloodline, I changed my mind. How would you like to become my Champion? In return, I shall provide you with absolute protection." said Sugitrox.

"Before I agree, I’d like to ask you one question. What are you?"

"A Metallic Human or rather a Metallic Lifeform who chose a human as a model for my body design. I can turn any part of my body into a weapon and our Race is in the top 20 of the most powerful races. Our research is also obsessed with research so anything interesting is immediately turned into research material. Trust me human, you don’t want to be research material."

"I’m sure that my Bloodline isn’t the only thing you’ve discovered about me so why didn’t you turn me into research material, I’m sure it would be worth your while."

"I did indeed discover many fascinating things about you, some tempting enough for me to want to dissect you and study you inside out. But that would be a waste, with your potential, I believe you can reach great heights and when that day comes, I want you to help me become an Emperor."

"Okay I agree, what should I do to seal the deal?"

"Nothing, I’ll just take your word for it."

"Aren’t you afraid that I’ll go back on my word?"

"Would you?"

"No but..."

"Then it’s all good. Here, this will help keep your identity a secret, you’re currently hot stuff among the nobles." said Sugitrox while throwing a helmet to Lucius.

"What do you mean?" asked Lucius as he caught the helmet and put it on his head. The helmet was metallic and had closely resembled the frog helmet from medieval times.

"A few days ago, a pirate group released information about a very fine specimen if I do say so myself. This specimen has a Bloodline Purity of 98%, extremely potent poison blood and is also rumoured to have the ability to revive. I guess I was very lucky when I got you. Although that helmet looks weird, it will help you better control your Innate Abilities, especially your Toxic Breath which will be your most used ability starting from today."

"What do you mean?"

"Your Toxic Breath can create what we call the Walking Dead, dangerous creatures with a highly contagious disease. A single scratch from a Walking Dead can infect the scratched target, creating another Walking Dead."

"You mean Zombies?"

"If they have the same characteristics then yes."

"Hahaha! I gotta think of a cool title for myself, Zombie King or Undead King?"
