Chapter 196: Causing A Calamity

After Darian spoke, everyone focused on him with seriousness and anticipation. Could he still shock them even more?

Slowly, he moved his hand to his head and pulled the hood back.

On top of his head was a small baby beast — the same one that sometimes mocked and taunted enemies. To everyone, it looked like some kind of beast with a faint trace of dragon blood — maybe a Wyvern or something like that.

It wasn’t unusual to have a beast like that. It was considered a kind of artifact or weapon. Among the Spiritual Guardians who had fewer rings — usually weaker in defense — lots of them had helpers like this to support them in battle.

Among all the Spiritual Guardians, probably a hundred had some kind of beast like that. Of course, nobody ever showed them off, since they were trump cards, last lines of defense. Supreme artifacts capable of hiding living beings inside were actually pretty common. Even Earth had two clans with something like this.

In that instant, the air shifted.

Everyone felt something weird rising. Among the natives, there were lots of divine and demonic beasts. Their eyes widened instantly.

They felt an absolutely ridiculous level of bloodline suppression.

The little beast glowed.

"D-Dragon!" a native beast shouted, terrified.

Niara activated her metamorphosis, along with the Celestial Bloodline Clone technique.

Suddenly, a gorgeous woman appeared. Her body was covered in shimmering green scales. Her wings spread wide, and the whole environment seemed to be filled with her overwhelming beauty.

She turned to Darian with a slight smile. Niara loved fighting. It was finally her turn — just watching was killing her inside.

Darian locked eyes with her and nodded. Both of them seemed to ignite from the inside.

Everyone around swallowed hard.

Suddenly, all the light in the area changed.

Everyone’s eyes widened. Darian was now wrapped in a pitch-black cloak. He didn’t even look human anymore — he looked like a creature born straight from the deepest abyss.

Right beside him, a sacred and radiant light burst out from Niara. Everyone turned to her, then instantly felt a warm, comforting sensation in their chests. She was glowing with white scales, looking like a true goddess — pure and immaculate.

Light and darkness. Yin and Yang. Holy and evil.

It all lasted for just a minute. Then both of them locked their eyes on the demons ahead.

They gripped their weapons tightly. Their eyes were sharp, and a crushing pressure started spreading across the battlefield.

With a wave from Darian, runes of lightning and wind appeared in the air.

*Woosh!*

Darian and Niara vanished.

Everyone held their breath, tense.

In the next instant, both appeared on opposite sides of the blue demon, about twenty meters away from him.

Two energy pillars — one white, one black — became the only colors left in existence.

Darian, like an evil specter, charged in with a straight punch. Niara moved with a wide grin, her whole body pulsing with light.

Suddenly, everyone felt like they couldn’t breathe.

The blue demon trembled, feeling an extreme sense of danger, and instantly activated all his black runes.

Darian’s cold voice echoed: "Unlike you... I’ve got no plans to spare your dog life."

"DIE!!" the blue demon roared, completely losing it.

He unleashed a black explosion, a hundred times stronger than the one that injured Darian before. It didn’t matter how strong anyone was — that attack was lethal, even for someone with three rings. Darian charging in like that... was pure suicide.

But...

Niara floated up, her body glowing like a white sun.

"!"

The black runes trembled... then completely froze in the air.

Darian smirked coldly. Demons were so damn predictable sometimes. That was obviously a supreme cursed artifact, probably made by absorbing some kind of living beings. That process created dark karma — both in the maker and in the runes. And white power was its natural nemesis.

Of course, to dominate all that, only Niara, with her Divine Dragon bloodline, could do it that easily.

Darian’s fist closed in, shaking the whole place.

The blue demon’s expression changed instantly. He could feel death coming for him. In that exact moment, he realized... there was no escape.

He gritted his teeth, and suddenly crushed a crystal in his hand. Instantly, his body disappeared, like it was sucked into the void.

"!"

Everyone watched in shock.

The blue demon reappeared a second later, almost a kilometer away, but...

...up in the skies, the blue light of the Primordial Seed shifted.

By using that artifact, he entered a spatial rift, disappearing from the world and instantly showing up far away. It was like he gave up on the test and abandoned the battlefield. Because of that... he lost the recognition of the Seed.

The blue light trembled. A new beam fired — now locking straight onto Darian again.

It all happened insanely fast. Until suddenly... the air shifted again.

Everyone turned, staring at the Dragoness in shock.

All of a sudden, the sacred white glow of her scales vanished.

"Take this, bastard!" she roared, punching a figure nearby.

At the same moment, her scales turned black. It was an instant switch — now she was back in full offense mode.

She and Darian were connected the whole time. Even at a distance, he could send power to her. Of course, the further apart, the slower it was, but in the middle of battle, this was an insanely good hidden trump card.

The red demon jumped back, surprised. Without hesitation, he clenched his fists, and flames — a dark, blood-red tone — burst out from him.

*CRASH!*

Their fists clashed, making a thunderous sound.

*Vupt!*

Darian popped up behind him with Tempest Blink. He was holding an assassin sword, a rune glowing along the blade.

The red demon’s eyes widened, and he roared.

*BANG!*

Niara slammed a punch into his chest, while Darian swung from the other side, but only managed to graze him.

The demon instantly felt that if that blade had hit directly, it would’ve been fatal. So he chose to take Niara’s punch, which gave him the split second needed to dodge Darian’s cut.

But...

In the very next second, both of them spun and attacked again — perfectly in sync.

"FUCK!"

The red demon didn’t even have time to activate another supreme artifact. He was completely cornered.

Then... he pressed something on his wrists.

And vanished.

A second later, he reappeared — almost a kilometer away.

"HE DID IT!" a native shouted, eyes glowing with hope.

The sky trembled.

A second beam of light — now red — turned toward Darian. Both Seeds were now locked onto him!

The two cheaters were forced to give up — or die. If this wasn’t absolute domination... then nothing else could be called that.

"HUMAN! You have no idea what kind of calamity you’ve just caused!" the red demon howled in pure rage.

The blue demon snorted coldly. "You... and your entire planet... have no idea what you just got yourselves into. No demon will rest until you’re wiped out... and everyone connected to you pays for this."

Niara appeared next to Darian, calmly holding his arm. He was staring back at them with zero emotion.

Darian knew... this wasn’t over yet. Killing both of them quickly was straight-up impossible. They were hiding some nasty stuff inside — and forcing them to use it now was better than risking it later when it could turn into a real nightmare.

So...

The two demons slowly moved their hands toward their own chests.

Without hesitation, both shoved their hands into their own bodies. A muffled sound echoed. Their faces twisted in pain... then they pulled...

Each of them was holding a black, still-beating heart.

Everyone froze, shocked. Their life force was fading fast. They’d chosen to die... but why?

Without waiting, both crushed their own hearts with a firm squeeze.

**BUZZ!**

The entire world started shaking.

The space around them twisted, turning chaotic. The very order of the world seemed to flip upside down. Even the Primordial Seeds froze in the sky — the two beams of light focused on Darian vanished completely.

A grotesque rift opened in the air.

Then... everything started to stabilize... slowly.

That rift grew... and grew... until it was hundreds of meters wide.

"HOLY SHIT!"

Someone screamed in panic as something started forming inside it.

Everyone stared, and suddenly... it was like they forgot how to breathe.

Inside that rift... appeared two massive pairs of eyes. Two glowing red eyes... two glowing blue eyes.

The natives looked like they were staring at the most terrifying thing possible.

"T-The... the two goddesses..."
