Global Game: Developing a Knight Clan-Chapter 187 - 159: Audience at the Demon God Hall, Disturbances Arise
"It’s been quite a few years since I last came this deep into the Demon Beast Mountain Range."
"Not much has changed, but isn’t the number of Demon Beasts here a little too low?"
"How have we crossed several mountains without seeing a single High Tier Magical Beast?"
Following Crimson, the eighteen Saint Tier Dragon Species Dragon Descendants journeyed deep into the Demon Beast Mountain Range.
Along the way, the Dragon Species were carefully observing the situation inside the Demon Beast Mountain Range.
So, when these Dragon Species Dragon Descendants discovered that the number of Demon Beasts inside the mountain range was unusually low, they grew puzzled.
"Maybe it’s because of the return of the Dragon Race’s Highness? Have all these Demon Beasts gone to the Demon God Hall?"
"That’s a possibility, but not a very likely one. It’s been days. Surely the Demon Beasts aren’t just spending all their time in the Demon God Hall keeping the Dragon Race’s Highness company, right?"
"Besides, haven’t you noticed? It’s not just that we’ve barely seen any High Tier Magical Beasts; even the number of Middle Tier and Low Tier Magical Beasts has become ridiculously sparse."
"Is this really what the depths of the Demon Beast Mountain Range are supposed to look like? It’s practically no different from the Wilderness Territory, is it?"
Many among the Human Race Dragon Descendants were discussing this, but the members of the Silver Dragon Race clan remained silent the entire time.
They, of course, knew the reason, but now was not the time for them to speak of it.
Meanwhile, among the Saint Tier Dragon Species, the Dragon Species of the Elf and Sea Races were also discussing the matter via Spiritual Transmission.
"Something isn’t right with the situation inside the Demon Beast Mountain Range."
"Do you think it’s possible the Dragon Race’s Highness slaughtered a large number of Demon Beasts upon their return?"
"Otherwise, why would His Highness summon us here?"
A cetacean Saint Tier Dragon Species transmitted its confusion.
"I find that unlikely. Since it’s a Highness of the Dragon Race, they must naturally abide by the code of law."
"A slaughter of this scale is absolutely out of the question."
"I agree it’s impossible, but then why are there so few Demon Beasts in the Demon Beast Mountain Range?"
"This is indeed a problem... but I think I may have found the answer. Everyone, look over there!"
Amidst the discussion among the Saint Tier Dragon Species, one of them suddenly pointed into the distance of the Demon Beast Mountain Range and spoke.
And so, the group of Saint Tiers immediately looked in the direction they indicated.
Gazing down from the sky, they looked more than fifty kilometers away from their current position.
There, on the other side of the Demon Beast Mountain Range, the Saint Tier Dragon Species saw it!
Three fluid streams, like black tides, were continuously moving toward the outer regions of the Demon Beast Mountain Range.
But those were no black tides.
They were clearly three marching columns formed by rapidly moving Demon Beast Tides.
Within these three Demon Beast Tides, the vast majority were Tierless Demon Beasts, but there were also many Middle-Low Tier Magical Beasts herding them, directing the Tierless ones to march in a fixed direction.
Each of the three Demon Beast Tides numbered no less than one hundred thousand.
"So many Demon Beasts? Where are they going?"
"It looks like they’re heading out of the mountains, doesn’t it? Are these Demon Beasts going to war with the Human Race at a time like this? Wasn’t there already a truce?"
"No, that’s not right. Haven’t you all noticed? Though their numbers are vast, there isn’t a single High Tier Magical Beast in command."
"I suspect there might not be many High Tier Magical Beasts left in the Demon Beast Mountain Range at all." 𝐟𝗿𝐞𝚎𝚠𝐞𝚋𝕟𝐨𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝕔𝕠𝚖
"As for where they’ve gone, I imagine we could find the answer if we were to follow this Beast Tide!"
"But I think we’d better not. This large-scale mobilization of Beast Tides is clearly related to the return of the Dragon Race’s Highness. It’s best we wait until we see His Highness before doing anything!"
The Saint Tier Dragon Species were not lacking in intelligence.
But precisely because they were intelligent, their curiosity about the Dragon Race’s Highness they were about to meet was now boundless.
For instance, what was the current state of the Dragon Race?
Why would a Highness of the Dragon Race appear in the Demon Beast Mountain Range?
And where exactly were these Beast Tides being dispatched to?
They had so, so many questions like these!
And so, filled with these unresolved feelings, they finally arrived at the main peak of the Demon Beast Mountain Range.
Moreover, as Crimson quickly led them up the main peak, they soon broke through a barrier of icy mist, and a holy cluster of divine halls, nestled above the clouds, finally appeared in their vision.
It was the architectural complex of the Demon God Hall.
Built upon the summit of the snow-capped peak, all the Divine Hall buildings glittered like crystal, shining with a clear light.
"So this is the Demon God Hall?"
"It truly is magnificent. Just these Divine Halls built from Magic Crystals... the concentration of Magic Power here is truly enviable."
"The scale and luxury of the Human Race’s divine halls fall far short of the Demon Beasts’. Perhaps the Elf Race could compare? After all, they are both Ancient Species and must have a considerable store of wealth."
"..."
Including the Saint Tier Dragon Species, all of the nearly two hundred High Tier Dragon Species Dragon Descendants who had gathered were astonished by the luxury of the Demon God Hall.
The Dragon Species Dragon Descendants from the Elf Race were no exception.
"These Demon Beasts are certainly extravagant. To think the Demon God Hall would be on such a scale."
"It’s not that hard to understand. After all, it’s the site of a Demon God’s Descent. Are our Elf Race’s holy temples any less grand and magnificent?"
"Still, I have to say, these Demon Beasts know how to live far better than we imagined."
"Live? Only in an age where the gods are absent. In the era when the gods were still present, let alone whether the Demon Beasts would want to stay here long-term, we ourselves might not have been able to reach this place even in death."
"That’s true. After all, for a non-believer race to come to a Divine Hall, a place of the Demon God, is no different from blasphemy and seeking death."
"..."
The Elf Dragons and the other Dragon Species Dragon Descendants chattered amongst themselves.
