Greatest Legacy of the Magus Universe-Chapter 718: Wanted Alive
Late into the night, after finishing several bottles of liquor, Adam and Kael, and Colbert and his entourage finally stepped out of Night Paradise.
Needless to say, all of them were drunk out of their minds. Well, Kael didn't drink, and Adam simply pretended to be drunk.
"Hiccup!" Adam burped. "My friend… you cannot tell anyone what I told you today! Understood?"
"Of… course!" Colbert struggled to stand straight, but he still managed to show a thumbs up.
He then thought of something and spoke with a slur, "I own a smoke shop in the Floating… Marketplace. You should come by tomorrow… There's a lot we can work together on! You know... make some extra money! Hehe!"
"I can only meet you after sunset," said Adam. "My brother and I have just started working. Boss will get angry if we—hiccup—start skipping work already."
"Silver Vess…" Colbert's eyes flashed with slight hints of fear. He walked up to Adam and placed his hand on his shoulder.
"My friend, Mada, you must be careful there. I've heard terrible things about how Silver Vess treats those who don't follow her orders."
Hearing the concern in the young man's voice, Adam sneered inwardly. But on the surface, he revealed a grin. "Heh! We don't need to worry about that! Silver Vess and us two brothers go way back!"
Kael nodded from the side.
"Way… back?" Colbert was surprised.
He thought Adam and Kael were simple bodyguards that the slaver had hired, but only now was he beginning to realize that their relationship was likely to be deeper than it appeared on the surface.
The blond young man couldn't help but ask, "If you can satisfy my curiosity, friends. How is it that you both—"
Right at that moment, a loud commotion erupted at the entrance of Night Paradise. Over a dozen Magi armed to the teeth, stormed inside the establishment, seemingly looking for someone.
While a few started interrogating the customers standing outside.
Seeing this, Adam and Kael couldn't help but frown as a foreboding feeling gripped their hearts.
An armored Magus approached their group, his aura intimidating. But when he noticed Colbert Black, he retrieved his aura, his presence now much more polite.
"Young Lord Black, forgive me for disturbing you," said the armored Magus.
Colbert frowned intensely, however, it didn't dare to speak rudely to the man. After all, the Magus was from the Umbra Thieves.
"What's going on?" He asked with slight dissatisfaction. "I've never known the umbra guards to storm inside buildings like this before. Did something happen?"
"Yes." The guard nodded. "A wanted criminal has entered Blackshore. The three Lords wanted him to be found at all costs. That is why we've begun a city-wide search for this man."
"A wanted criminal?" Colbert was taken aback. "How heinous must this person have to be for him to have a wanted status in Blackshore out of all places?!"
The guard didn't reply. Instead, he conjured a scroll and unfurled it in front of everyone. The scroll was a wanted poster, and it had the sketch you a young man with raven hair and black eyes.

ADAM CONSTANTINE
REWARD 100,000 AG
Colbert's eyes threatened to pop out of his sockets, and his drunkenness almost vanished when he saw the reward on the wanted poster.
"100,000 Acadian Gold?!" He blurted out in disbelief. "Just who the hell is this man!"
Not just him, even his entourage was shocked. But no one was more shocked by the person on the wanted poster.
With a dumbfounded look on his face, Adam stepped forward and snatched the poster from the guard's hands.
"A hundred… A hundred thousand gold pieces?!!"
He observed the drawing of his face on the wanted poster. The similarity was too uncanny. Whoever drew his face clearly knew him well.
But how the hell am I already wanted in this city? He thought to himself in absolute shock.
I… just arrived here!
At once, all sorts of possibilities emerged in his mind, causing his eyes to narrow. However, he quickly hid these emotions away, afraid that the guard would find it suspicious.
The guard, however, was already suspicious of Adam. "Who are you? I don't think I've ever seen you before," said the guard, his eyes flashing with hostility.
Adam forced a smile, "It is a big city, my friend. Of course, you haven't seen me. I haven't seen you either."
Just when the armed guard was about to escalate things further, Colbert stepped forward. "No need to worry about him. He's my friend."
"A friend?" The guard frowned, turning to look at the blond young man.
A moment later, he nodded, apologizing for his behavior. "Forgive me, my lord. Everyone is quite on edge since the city-wide manhunt has begun."
"This Magus, Adam Constantine, is he really that dangerous?" Colbert asked.
"He is," the guard answered in a solemn tone. "If the three Lords are willing to offer such a high reward, then he is clearly a dangerous man."
He thought for a moment before adding, "There are also rumors that this man is a Mana Vortex Magus!"
"Rank 3?!" Colbert was shocked. "Is that really true?"
"I do not know." The guard shook his head. "Like I said, these are but rumors. But considering that this Magus has managed to invoke the wrath of all three Lords…"
He didn't finish his words, but his meaning was clear.
"My lord, even if you don't catch this criminal, and only offer information about his whereabouts, you would still receive fifty percent of the reward money," the guard added.
"My goodness!" Colbert still found this shocking. After all, fifty thousand gold pieces was still a significant sum of money for him who was already considered a wealthy man.
50,000 Acadian Gold could buy one a lavish estate in the Uptown Quarter in Ravenfell!
"I shall take my leave. Please remain vigilant, my lord." The guard lightly bowed proceeding to the next investigation spot.
Meanwhile, Adam, who witnessed all of this take place, had an extremely dark expression on his face.
I only just arrived in Blackshore and the Umbra Thieves have already found out? It's impossible that they were able to do this on their own.
He thought of a terrifying, yet very likely possibility, causing his heart to be filled with rage.
It has to be that traitor from Ravenfell…
Adam recalled the faces of all those present in Council Keep the day Sabrina Benton discussed the plan to attack Umbra Thieves—the day that he left the city.
His eyes narrowed, a dangerous light flashing in them.
It has to be one of them!
