Chapter 8: I am a good guy

The flames spread worse than wildfire, and the whole forest became endangered. In just a few minutes, Reylin's eyes couldn't see anything else other than the forest and its burning trees. He also wouldn't be able to find a way out should he be without a map.

That situation was the best, however.

BANG!

"Oh..."

BANG!

His fireball punch was like a bomb he had made many times on Earth, but different. Those flames sounded enraged, fueled by ire born out of Reylin's mana. He tamed, but it kept turning unruly.

The process continued until Reylin got used to his fireball punch.

What process, exactly?

The killing of wolves and other forest monsters!

"Ahh... They ran off," Reylin chuckled, his mind serene. On his fingertip, the flames flickered, but those soon exploded as mini fireballs.

Since the flames deluged the whole forest, he could keep playing with those, and Reylin made some improvisation fireworks, which made his mood better.

He knew well that all desired abilities wouldn't appear out of nowhere.

He already got enough, and Reylin would surely create more outstanding skills with those as his foundation. But humans were so fickle, and Reylin often couldn't control himself, which was why he was known as a madman.

No one had tamed or influenced him enough in his life.

Would such a person appear in this game?

[Rey Flames Lin Lv. 5 HP: 100/100 MP: 150/150]

Reylin leveled up, and he focused on INT stat, which increased his mana and helped his skills grow higher. Initially, he was clueless about his path. Still, after checking up the class tree and seeing how many classes one can simply absorb, Reylin decided that he would build himself into the perfect flame existence.

Bombs and fireworks would be so damn easy he would create something utterly different, all possible only in the fantasy world.

Thus, Mage Class was all about INT.

It would be his mana.

And the latter would be decided after proper research.

Layla's notes had S Rank, so Reylin was interested in it as well.

"Who set the whole forest up in flames?!" An unknown voice thundered on the side.

Reylin's lips curved into a smile, and he strutted toward the voice. It didn't take him a long time due to his passive pyromania skill.

At last, Reylin's eyes landed on a particular but expected group.

[The Bandit Boss Huna Lv. 12 HP: 202/300 MP: 88/120]

[You have met the first unique grade individual.]

"His nickname is red! This is a player who has killed others!" The bandit boss' asslicker shouted while his wobbling finger tried to stay on Reylin's face.

Reylin shrugged, "I have gone off the track, but this is a meeting I've been looking forward to. Now, let's introduce ourselves despite our names hovering above our heads. I am Rey Flames Lin, and I am a good guy." Said Reylin with his body absorbing and literally bathing in flames.

"..." The bandits and their boss gawked at Reylin with their eyes dead.

"Seriously?" Huna responded after a brief silence, and his dead eyes regained a little light.

Immediately after, his hand fished out the knife. In their bandit codex, talking with an enemy was the biggest mistake.

It's either forcing the stupid to get loot or fighting for it! 𝒇𝘳ℯℯ𝚠𝙚𝑏𝗻𝑜ѵ𝑒𝙡.co𝑚

The boss was prepared for the latter, but he also followed bandit codex diligently, "Hand over your stuff, and I will spare your life!"

"Haha!" Reylin laughed, holding his stomach!

The bandits glanced into each other's eyes, feeling uncertain. This guy was bathing in flames, so his skill was high. However, Reylin also exposed his nickname, and his level was seen by everyone around.

This guy couldn't be so strong... or so it looked like.

But on the broader view, the bandits couldn't really escape from the forest.

The flames had long since encircled them, so getting Reylin was the safest way to leave this damnable place!

"But he is just laughing..." Another bootlicker whispered...

"Well, guys! I am a good guy, really. Some things happen to slip out of my reach, but aren't we all emotional beings? In my current mood, I am more inclined to talk with you. For me, to reach the perfect flames and to enjoy my flames the best, I must tread on this world as if it was real life. It's different against players because I know about them. But you? Well, let's have a nice talk." Reylin leaned on the tree and crossed his arms.

He added, "Should I kill you, my level up will go by another two. This is quite an efficient way of leveling up, and I am sure at the top. With my flames, I am not really bothered by my level, though. My heart and flames are the priority. But the problem is that you guys are gonna die anyway."

"Hah! I see where this is going! You want us to be your underlings? In your dreams, player!" Huna shouted at Reylin, then glared at his boys, "We fight him! Give it your all!"

"Yes, Boss!" Asslickers responded loudly and firmly.

"Nah, I am really carefully maintaining my psyche," Reylin shrugged.

At that time, the flame wall burst out with water.

A party of players stepped in, and one of them at the helm said, "We have finally located that bandit camp! These flames made things hard! Now, where are those bandits? Oh?"

He directed his surprise at Reylin, "William wannabe?"

The moment these words rang out, a shadow covered Reylin's eyes, and his face contorted.
