I Only Want To Kill-Chapter 129: Necrosis Destruction Wand
The white overcoat has a standing collar that covers Blaze’s neck. Its fabric is thicker than any other type of fabric that he has seen. However, it is not heavy at all, keeping the wearer light on his feet.
The shoulder of the coat looks rectangular, two shoulder pads were built into the overcoat stealthily. For untrained eyes, they won’t be able to notice there is a pad under the fabric.
The pads are also present at the elbow. Silver fabric covers that part instead of staying hidden like the shoulder, emphasizing the arms.
The skirt of the cloak stays motionless even when Blaze moves at high speed, it precisely stays within his sides, avoiding any flourish movement that may hinder his attacks or cover his vision.
From every aspect, this is a battle cloak specialized for use in melee combat.
Blaze tries to use its Hidden Power <Sky Barrier>, and immediately, the cloak glows up in a pure white light. It doesn’t create any barrier nor exude any shockwave. The only difference is the white light.
"This piece of equipment also needs more tests. But what exactly are evil beings and evil energy?
It can’t be one moral or karma, right?"
After the encounter with Cerun-Kha, Blaze is sure that these evil and divine sayings refer to different factions. His power is easily mistaken for Demonic Energy. It is probably because the Tattered Mask and Moonlight Karambit have some connections with it.
His appearance as the Wraith also helps nothing to prove otherwise. The Wraith looks as demonic as a demonic being can be.
Blaze put the Cloud Coat into the Inventory.
"Now. There is still one last surprise. Open the last Blindbox."
[Opening Blindbox...]
[Congratulations, you have received 1x Irony (Rare)]
"Irony? Don’t tell me that the piece of equipment is irony solidified into an object."
The answer is no. <Irony> is simply its name.
Blaze opens his hand, and a silver gun appears in his hand.
His first desired weapon was a gun. The System gave him a magic wand instead. But now, it finally fulfills his wish.
The gun is coated or maybe is actually made out of silver. Its silver is gleaming like silver jewelry. But Blaze doubts that it is one hundred percent silver. This metal is too malleable and weak to act as a gun on its own.
It is probably coated on the surface or some kind of alloy. Blaze thinks.
White flame patterns run on its surface, creating an even more luxurious feel to the fun. The flame has a white, chalk-like color. When Blaze takes a closer look at it, he can see the flame moving slightly, like it is real.
Irony is a silver-coated, flame-patterned revolver.
Blaze pops out the cylinder. It is completely empty inside.
[Irony]
- Type: Equipment
- Rank: Rare
- Description: An ancient gun that once belonged to a demon.
- Hidden Power: Will of Light, Ironic Blowback
Will of Light: The user must will the bullet to appear in the cylinder.
Ironic Blowback: The gun will occasionally jam.
"That second power... It’s useless!"
Blaze holds the gun tightly, thinking of filling in bullets into the cylinder. White glowing bullets materialize into the cylinder; they look like they are made out of pure light.
Blaze aims it outside the window and fires. The bullet turns into a clear white line that shoots out from the barrel. Its speed is respectable. Its damage, however, will need more precise testing.
Blaze fires the entire cylinder, five white beams of light shoot out of the gun, screaming into the sky outside.
Blaze tries to shoot it several more times. No jamming happened.
"What is even the use of this Hidden Power?"
Blaze throws Irony into the Inventory. He probably is going to use it anyway. But he will be careful about its <Ironic Blowback>.
Blaze then takes out the two Spellbooks that he scammed from Francois. <Spellbook of the Death> and <Spellbook of the Fables>.
At the time, the System had registered these books, so Blaze didn’t really need Francois’s help to study these books. He can just use it straightaway via the Skill Window.
Blaze grabs the Spellbook of the Death first. A transparent window immediately pops up in front of him.
[Detecting Skill Book: Spellbook of the Death]
[Learn?]
[Yes/No]
Blaze doesn’t choose yes right away. He tries to think if there is any side effect this process may have. The word ’Learn’ makes him feel a bit anxious. If it causes a metamorphosis right here, his entire house will be taken down for sure.
Thunder Force (A-Rank) has a metamorphosis so destructive that the crevice Blaze was at was completely destroyed by it.
"Mom! I’m going to go out for a bit, okay!"
It is daytime, and going out as the Wraith may attract too much attention. Blaze grabs his jacket and puts on the new <Running Shoe> to get out of the house.
Blaze takes a deep breath and activates the weaker version of Lightning Ascension. He dashes away in his white aura.
The <Running Shoe> acts like any other sneakers. Blaze doesn’t feel anything different from it. His speed stays the same, and he can’t detect anything too special about it.
"Well. At least I get a free pair of sneakers."
Blaze dashes into his home base, the vast desert of Akansa. He returns to the crevice from before, which now has become a series of tunnels because of his destructive behavior.
Blaze finds a cool place with enough light to stop at. It is mostly covered in shade here so he can have sunlight and won’t be burned to death by the scorching sun outside.
He sits down and finally clicks [Yes] on the system window.
Immediately, a progress bar appears on top of Blaze’s head. The Spellbook of Death flies up and floats in front of him. It automatically opens up on its own.
Black smoke-like energy pours out from the papers of the book and goes inside Blaze’s eyes, nose, ears, and mouth. His eyes roll back and turn completely white.
Blaze slowly levitates from the ground, staying in his sitting position. The Spellbook of the Death stays close to him, feeding him its undead energy.

[You are required to find a suitable magical artifact to use as your magic convergence!]
[Detecting compatibility with <Destruction Wand>]
[Do you want to make your <Destruction Wand> your magic convergence?]
[Yes/No]
Blaze drops down on the ground. His entire body is covered with black smoke, concealing his appearance. Suddenly he reaches out his hand to click on ’Yes’.
Blaze’s hand is grey and cracked. It almost seems like the hand of a dried-out corpse.
The Destruction Wand materializes in this hand.
[The Hidden Power <Arcane Conduit> of your <Destruction Wand> is evolving...]
Black smoke gets sucked into the tip of the bone wand. A black, root-like substance bursts out from the white bone and covers the whole wand.
It has turned from looking like a finger bone to a magical wand that was tightly designed to resemble the root of a tree. The tip of the wand still exposes the sharp, pointy bone.
[Congratulations, <Arcane Conduit> has evolved into <Arcane Convergence>]
[Your <Destruction Wand> (Rare) has evolved into <Necrosis Destruction Wand> (Ultra Rare)]
[A new Hidden Power is discovered!]
<Necros Destruction Wand>
- Lightning Wrath: You can shoot out red lightning from the wand. (Evolved from Lightning Strike, now shoots red lightning as its normal attack instead of the weak yellow lightning.)
- Thunder Bolt: You can shoot out purple lightning from the wand if you insert the power of Thunder Force. (Upgraded from red to purple lightning)
- Thunder Wrath (New): By charging the wand with the power of your Thunder Force for thirty seconds, you can summon a thunderstorm of purple lightning to strike at any enemies inside the effective radius.
- Arcane Convergence: You can use all types of magic and spells that this wand has an affinity with. (Affinity: Necromancy, Electromancy, Pyromancy, Druidism, Destruction)
- Necrosis Destruction Beam: No longer needs to charge to fire. The beam now also penetrates any magical barrier. If any target is killed by the beam, it will be resurrected immediately as a Destruction Knight.
[Detecting compatibility between <Necrosis Destruction Wand> and <Lantern of the Damned>]
[A new Hidden Power is added to <Lantern of the Damned>]
[Lantern of the Damned]
- Animated Souls (New): You can use Animated Corpse on every trapped soul inside the Lantern.
Blaze’s right hand turns back to its pristine color. The grey, dry texture is completely gone. He stands up and cracks his neck a bit.
When Blaze opens his eyes, there are no irises or pupils, there is only a black color covering his entire eyes. But it quickly diminishes, returning his eyes to the normal form.
The new spell is very different from his previous power. He doesn’t need any power to use it. Even if he turns back to his ordinary self, he can still use the three spells he just learned.
These aren’t genome powers coming from the soul. This is knowledge. A very different form of power.
