I Was Transmigrated As An Extraordinary Extra-Chapter 181
Chapter 181: Chapter 181
The familiar sound seemed to awaken something deep within, drawing me back from the depths of the darkness. I opened my eyes slowly, allowing them to adjust to the light that gradually filtered back into focus.
I opened my eyes to a burst of color, instantly aware of my surroundings. The familiar landscape of Etheris Pinnacle Mountain stretched out before me, vibrant and alive. The lush green vegetation swayed gently in the breeze, and sunlight pierced through the trees like scattered gems, casting radiant patterns on the ground.
With my eyes half-closed, I instinctively searched for the source of the voice that had called my name.
"There you are," came the cheerful tone, startling me into focus. It was as if the beauty of the scenery mirrored the joy radiating from him. My heart skipped a beat as I blinked again.
In that moment of confusion, I thought I saw a familiar figure—a vision of Kairos smiling brightly at me. But as I blinked once more, the illusion faded, and it became clear that it was Cypher approaching, his hand outstretched toward me.
I took his hand, allowing him to help me stand. "Thanks," I murmured, regaining my balance as I turned to face the sloping path down the mountain.
"Remi! Where are you going?" Cypher asked, concern lacing his voice as I began my descent.
"I’m going back to my dorm," I replied. My mission here is done. With no immediate threats lurking nearby, I figured it was time for me to rest.
"Do you want me to accompany you?" Cypher offered, his footsteps quickening to keep up with mine. frёewebnoѵel.ƈo๓
I shook my head, a gentle smile playing on my lips. "There’s no need. You should go now or they’ll come looking for the both of us."
Just then, as if on cue, Angela appeared with her usual bubbly energy. "There you are! Let’s go now!" She looked between us, her eyes sparkling with impatience.
"I’m not going," I replied, continuing my stride without slowing down. "Tell the others that I’m too tired to go further, so bye for now. Let’s meet again at the Academy." I gave a quick wave and continued walking down the path.

As I made my way to my dorm, the dimly lit paths illuminated by the occasional glow of magical lanterns. My smartwatch beeped, interrupting my thoughts. It was a message from Adrian.
{Hey, this is my bank account number. Transfer the amount I’ve told you and I’ll pay you back as soon as possible.}
A smirk tugged at my lips. I knew Adrian well enough to know he valued quick transactions, especially when it came to matters involving precious information or resources. Without hesitation, I transferred the funds from his account.
A few seconds later, my smartwatch pinged again. This time, it was a notification from Scarlet Phantom.
Adrian also sent the money back to me but with the account on my Scarlet Phantom. I quickly responded, sending him the information I had gathered.

The person you’re looking for; Evangeline Lerin changed her name to Erina Gassos. She’s residing in Aeonia.
————————————
This was exactly the information Adrian needed about his mother. With the brief exchange complete, I couldn’t help but wonder what his reaction would be if he found out about the truth.
I glanced at the time on my smartwatch—1 A.M. The world felt disjointed; ten hours had passed in reality, but it felt like an entire year spent in that parallel world.
As I continued my walk, I passed by the cafeteria, the smell of late-night snacks wafting through the air. My thoughts drifted to Macaron. I had meant to bring back delicacies from the parallel world for him but had forgotten amidst the chaos. Since it was already late, I might as well treat him to something tasty from the cafeteria.
I noticed a guy standing at the menu for an unusually long time, blocking the line. Unable to resist, I decided to speak up.
"Excuse me, but you’re holding up the line—"
I stopped short upon recognizing him. Ezekiel stood there, his eyes heavy-lidded and his face devoid of color. If I didn’t know better, I would have thought he was a zombie.
"Uhm, what happened to you?" I blurted, genuinely concerned.
He looked at me and yawned, which didn’t exactly help his case. "I just came back from Eldoria two days ago, and now I just finished streaming," he replied, his voice thick with fatigue. "How about you? Why are you still up?" he asked, casting a sideways glance at me.
"Oh, I just came back from a field trip," I said, distractedly picking out desserts, my mind still on Macaron.
"Field trip... Oh, is this about the Panagsina Field Trip?" he asked, grabbing a carton of milk as he flicked his gaze back to me.
"Yup, but I got bored pretty quickly, so I decided to come back," I replied, finally snagging a steak that caught my eye.
"I see," he said, his gaze lingering on the impressive food pile I had assembled.
I couldn’t help but smile at his keen interest. "You’re probably curious why I have so much food. I still haven’t eaten since I got here," I explained apologetically.
"No, it’s okay," Ezekiel shook his head, an endearing smile creeping onto his face, despite the exhaustion in his eyes. "I also eat a lot..." His voice barely above a murmur.
"Alright then, I’m heading back to my room now. Nice seeing you," I said, giving him a small wave before navigating through the counters and making my way to the exit.
"Goodnight, Remi!" Ezekiel called out, his voice warmer now, despite his evident exhaustion.

I returned to the dorm with both hands full of takeout—some for me, some for Macaron. As I swung the door open, I half expected him to swoop up to me, excitedly flapping his little wings in anticipation. Instead, there was silence.
"Macaron?" I called, feeling a knot of unease tighten in my stomach.
I stepped into the living room, and the sight that greeted me nearly made me drop the food. Macaron was perched on top of a creature that could only be described as a Frostbane, its sleek body draped in the remnants of a snowy coat, hints of shadow swirling in its fur like smoke.
How on earth did Macaron manage to catch a Frostbane and stash it in my dorm? I had only been gone for ten hours! The room itself was a war zone—throw pillows with nasty claw marks, the sofa shredded in spots, and a white fur are flying around!
I looked around and the dorm was a mess. The pillows and sofa have claw marks.
"Macaron!" I half-yelled, trying to keep my voice down. There was a gigantic beast in my living room, after all.
He stirred, his eyes popping open, and as soon as they landed on me, he was in motion—wings flapping furiously, his feet pattering on the Frostbane’s back as he flitted over. "Master! You’re here!"
"Shhh!" I waved my hands, but Macaron’s exuberance woke the Frostbane fully. Its impressive fangs glinted as it turned its gaze on me, a low growl escaping its throat. Before I could react, the beast launched itself at me.
"Macaron, get off me! I need to reach for my dagger!" I said frantically, but alas, my hands were full of takeout, making it impossible to grab my weapon. Meanwhile, this oblivious owl was busy nuzzling against my cheek like I was his favorite pillow.
Thump!
Splat!
All of us tumbled to the floor—food flying through the air like confetti and landing on us with a wet smack.
"Food!" Macaron shouted, his eyes sparkling as he dove for a slice of pizza.
"Rawr!" the Frostbane echoed in delight as it snagged a juicy steak from the pile.
The annoyance swelled within me, easily overpowering the hunger that had made me trek out for dinner. "Macaron! Can you please explain why there’s a beast in my dorm?"
"Don’t worry, he’s still a kitten," he chirped, slurping up cheese as the Frostbane settled down next to us, casually munching on pizza.
"What? A kitten? With this size?" I said. He’s already 4 ft. tall big and yet he was still a kitten? The Frostbane looked up at me with big, innocent eyes, its spiky ears perked in curiosity.
"Yeah! So, here’s the thing. When I went hunting, I found him being chased by poachers. I couldn’t just let them catch him, so I brought him here. He’s super nice!" Macaron explained, tossing a piece of fried chicken to the Frostbane, who caught it mid-air.
"And what about its family?" I asked, trying to wrap my mind around the situation, but before I could finish, the Frostbane licked my face, its rough tongue shocking me out of my thoughts. I pushed it away, scolding, "Bad kitten!" Its ears drooped at my reprimand, and I felt a pang of guilt.
"They’re dead," Macaron said, his tone surprisingly somber. "He was the only one left. The poachers probably thought they could sell him."
Even in this world, poachers were alive and well, hunting and dealing in illegal beasts and monsters.
I sighed heavily. "He can’t stay here," I said.
"Why not?" Macaron protested, his bright eyes wide with excitement as he continued to nibble on the remnants of dinner scattered around us. The Frostbane, now filled with curiosity, leaned in closer, its big, icy blue eyes sparkling with delight.
"Because!" I exclaimed, shaking my head in disbelief as I pushed aside a chunk of fallen pizza. "We can’t have a demonic beast living in a dorm. It’s dangerous and, frankly, illegal! What if someone finds out? Do you really think we can keep a Frostbane a secret?"
