I Was Transmigrated As An Extraordinary Extra-Chapter 185
Chapter 185: Chapter 185
Black Lotus Exchange, Adriana (underground auction house)
Kairos was lounging in the VIP room, his boredom notable as he observed the bizarre beasts being paraded in front of a masked crowds.
The ambiance of the Black Lotus Exchange was filled with the low murmur of voices, the flicker of soft lights casting shadows over the guests who bid and laughed in anticipation of the next bizarre creature to step into the spotlight.
He forced his gaze back to the stage, pretending to remain interested as yet another creature—this one a serpentine beast with glistening scales and multiple eyes—was paraded in front of the crowd.
They were here on a mission.

He turned slightly to glare at Thorne, who was perched next to him, seemingly unfazed. Thorne was carelessly munching on chips. Between bites, he offered playful commentary on each beast that strutted by, his enthusiasm a stark contrast to Kairos’s growing impatience.
"Aww, boss!" Thorne exclaimed, eyes glued to the stage. "I really wanted to have a pet like the Arachkin. Can we get one?"
The Arachkin was indeed striking; with four spindly legs that moved with spider-like grace and iridescent fur that shimmered under the lights, it was both captivating and slightly monstrous. But pets were not on the agenda tonight.
Kairos arched an eyebrow, unable to suppress the urge to dismiss his friend’s whims. "Then buy it..."
Thorne’s eyes sparkled with mischief, the prospect clearly exciting him. "Really? You’d let me?"
"Using your own money," Kairos continued, suppressing a smirk as Thorne’s enthusiasm diminished like a deflating balloon.
Thorne’s excitement waned almost instantly. "On second thought, I think it’s much better when you don’t have a pet to take care of." He shrugged, tossing another chip into his mouth as his attention drifted back to the auction, pressed against the edge of his seat as if willing the next beast to be even more extraordinary.
Kairos sighed. The wannabe pet owner was more concerned with creatures than the grisly business they were here for. ’When will this auction end?’ He was itching to complete the mission quickly and go home. But considering that he needs to kill five people, it’s much better to wait for them to be alone before fulfilling their mission.
When the emcee announced that the auction had ended, Kairos stood up, ready to leave, when the emcee returned to the stage, a glimmer of excitement in his eyes.
"Apologies for the interruption, ladies and gentlemen!" The emcee’s voice was smooth yet laced with an undertone of urgency that piqued Kairos’s interest. "We have a special event for tonight only! I’ll give you a once-in-a-lifetime chance to have this beauty!"
Kairos crossed his arms, bemused but curious. "What now?" he muttered under his breath, casting a sideways glance at Thorne, who was now practically glued to the edge of his seat with anticipation.
"Introducing," the emcee continued, "a girl that is ripe, pure and untainted! You can make her do your every bidding! You can make her your slave, a maid, or even your own personal bedwarmer!"
The crowd’s buzz turned into a murmur of excitement, their eyes gleaming at the prospect of the forbidden. The emcee stepped aside, allowing a spotlight to illuminate the figure being brought onto the stage.
Kairos squinted against the sudden brightness, focusing on the glass casing covered by a large cloth, his heart rate quickening in an unexpected way.
With a twirl, the emcee removed the cloth, and in an instant, Kairos’s gaze hardened as he locked eyes with the woman enclosed behind the glass. "How did she end up here?" The question left his lips before he could stop it.
Thorne, still glued to the edge of his seat, glanced sideways at Kairos, his brows furrowing in confusion. "You were saying something, boss?" But Kairos didn’t respond, his eyes narrowed on the woman in the box as if she were the only thing that existed in that moment.
Her features were delicate, framed by black wavy hair that emphasized her large, expressive eyes, which darted nervously between the crowd. She wore a white elegant dress that seemed almost out of place among the black suits and glitzy gowns worn by the bidders.
The more Thorne stared at her, the sharper the recognition hit him. ’Wait, why is she here? Is this why the boss can’t take his eyes off her?’ His playful tone was replaced with concern as he processed the situation unfolding in front of him.
The emcee cleared his throat, bringing the crowd back to attention. "Bidding will start at five million Glacium! Please make your offers known!"
"Ten million!" a voice rang out from the back, drawing gasps from the crowd.
"Fifteen!" another bidder quickly jumped in.
"Twenty million!" came yet another voice.
Before the others could bid higher, Kairos shot a glance at Remillia and, with a flick of his finger, hit the buzzer. "One billion."
A stunned silence enveloped the room as the bidders turned, their eyes darting toward the VIP section, though the mysterious bidder remained hidden from view.
"One billion!" the emcee declared, his voice ringing with disbelief. "Anyone want to counter?"
Thorne’s jaw dropped in shock. He’d been tempted to interject, but he forced himself to hold back. His boss wasn’t the kind to throw money around, especially not on a whim. So why had he just dropped a billion to save that woman? Something was definitely off.
When no one dared to bid anymore. The emcee shouted "Sold! To the guy in VIP room 1!"
Inside the VIP room, Kairos’s phone rang. He answered quickly. "Please complete the payment by swiping your card in the reader, then proceed to room ten to claim your prize."
Kairos swiftly swiped his card then stood up. "Let’s get ready," Kairos muttered, opening the door. "We’re leaving with her tonight."
Thorne can only nod while following him.
When they arrived at room ten, two masked men stood guard at the door. As soon as they noticed Kairos and Thorne, they stepped forward, blocking their path. "We need to see your Black Lotus ID first," one of the guards stated, his voice flat and authoritative.
Kairos didn’t flinch. He calmly reached into his jacket and revealed a sleek black card, embossed with the Black Lotus emblem. He handed it over without a word.
The guard scrutinized the ID before handing a small black remote back to him. "This is the remote for her collar. If she disobeys you, simply press the button, and she’ll behave in an instant. She’s a fiery kitten when meeting her new owner," he explained, his tone matter-of-fact.
The other guard opened the door with a smirk. "She’s behaved right now, so you can go in. We just fed her to calm her down," he added, grinning in a way that made Thorne’s skin crawl.
"Leave," Kairos ordered, his voice sharp and commanding. "I have my assistant with me right now; he’ll be guarding the door." He gestured towards Thorne, making it clear that he expected him to stay put.
The guards bowed down their heads as they turned to leave.
"Refrain anyone from going inside," Kairos simply said to Thorne before stepping through the doorway, his posture exuding authority.
"Wait—" Thorne started, instinctively reaching out, but the door swung shut before he could voice his question. The sudden thud echoed in the otherwise quiet corridor, leaving him outside with only his racing thoughts. I can’t believe this is boss’s preference?
Inside, Kairos looked at the woman who was chained down in bed, breathing heavily.
Inside, Kairos surveyed the room, his gaze falling on the blindfolded woman chained to the bed. She was breathing heavily, her chest rising and falling rapidly as if the very act of breathing was a struggle.

’Fuck... Fuck... Fuck!’ I muttered furiously in my mind, frustration bubbling up inside me. Those damn guys forced me to drink something, and now my entire body was on fire with an unrelenting heat. They even had to blindfold me and chain my hands to the bed.
"I swear I’ll kill all of them!" I hissed through clenched teeth, struggling to keep my breathing steady. But how could I possibly enact my revenge when this collar was stuck around my neck, keeping me in check? My mind was swirling, becoming hazy from the effects of whatever they had given me combined with this insufferable heat.
I tried to focus against the fog clouding my mind. I had to stay sharp and be ready. Before the bidder could lay hands on me, I would knock them down first before I had a chance to figure out an escape route.
Moments later, I heard voices outside the door.
I couldn’t see a thing because of the blindfold, but I sensed the shift in the air as a person entered the room. My heart raced, and despite every ounce of my resolve to stay still, I couldn’t help but breathe heavily, the heat flooding my body only worsening with each passing second.
I waited, itching for my chance to spring into action. When I sensed the footsteps drawing closer, I prepared to tackle him, adrenaline surging through me.
But then—to my shock—he uncuffed the chains binding me.
I went still. Why is he releasing me? I shook my head, forcing my thoughts to stay focused. As soon as my other hand was free, I pushed him down the bed, straddling him in one swift motion.
