I Was Transmigrated As An Extraordinary Extra-Chapter 55
Chapter 55: Chapter 55
Grandma Kara’s eyes showed sadness but still kept smiling so I immediately changed the topic.
"Can you tell me more about your son, ma’am?"
"I can but you need to drop with the formalities. You can call me grandma Kara or whatever you like."
"Okay, Granny Kara."
"Why are you so excited all of a sudden, child?"
"Well, I wanted to know what my senior is like."
"Hahaha, you see ever since we moved here, he wanted to try something new so he went to look for a job and you know what his first job is?"
"Let me guess, a carpenter?"
"You guessed right! But you know what’s more funny? It was his first day as a carpenter and was tasked to build a house and you know what he built? He built a freaking mansion hahaha!"
I just laughed with her.
"And so the-"
She told me more many stories before the food finally arrived.
"Let me help you with that."
I grab the plates full of different dishes one by one as I swiftly put it out on the table perfectly.
"Wow! How did you that?"
"Did what?"
"That-that thing-"
He copied what I did with the dishes equipped with sound effects using his mouth.
Granny Kara and I just looked at each other and laughed. Feeling embarrassed, Chris just scratched his head before laughing with us.
"What’s funny?"
My mouth dropped when I finally saw him.
’What the-!’
He’s way too different from what I have seen in the Glacial Sphere’s Student Database and even in the news!
I thought that since he became a cook, I expected that he would become a fatty, but it was the opposite instead!
She was stunned by the sight of Adriel’s chiseled physique. His broad shoulders, muscular arms, and defined abs left her almost speechless. He even has a beard! Not thin, not thick just the right kind of beard and she loved it! She felt her drool start to slide down her chin, and quickly wiped it away with the back of her hand, trying to compose herself.
Adriel looked at her for a little before speaking.
"And who might you be, lady?"
"Oh-uh my name’s Remillia, I came here to take a short break before taking my exams."
"Oh? Which school?"
"Glacial Sphere Academy."
"I also studied there! Then that makes me your senior then?"
"Yes dadd- I mean SIR!"
’Oh my gosh! Get a grip, Remillia!’
She mentally slapped herself. She has a mind of a 30-year-old single woman trapped in a teenager’s body, and she shouldn’t be having these kinds of thoughts to someone who is twice her age in her current body!
"Drop the formalities, just call me your senior or mister."
Granny Kara couldn’t wait any longer and advised us to sit down.
So we all sat down and began to eat. All the dishes looked appetizing that I can’t help but took a bite of the juicy pork and it felt like heaven!
One by one, I tried all of them and it felt like I was in a 5 star Michelin restaurant.
"Mmm! Mister you didn’t tell me that you worked at a 5 star Michelin restaurant before retiring here!"
"Is that a compliment? Stop it. My dishes are only average."
"How can you say that mister? This are the best dishes that I’ve tasted. It felt like home to me."
The three of them stopped eating and looked at me worriedly.
"Dear, you’re crying. Here, wipe yourself with this."
Granny Kara gave me her handkerchief and I glady accepted it before wiping my tears.
"Hehe, sorry for the drama. I just missed my home." freёnovelkiss.com
"Awww, don’t worry. You’ll be back to your home, once you finished your vacation."
"Right."
After that, they ate heartily as Granny Kara would occasionally tell funny stories about the father and son.
’I wish I had a family like this.’
I shook my thoughts to not forget my goal here today. Adriel was the first one to get off the table since he has a lot to cook today, then Granny Kara went to their balcony to rest there. Chris carried the dishes and when I was about to carry the empty plates, Chris stopped me although I refused.
"Let me help you, this is my way of saying thank you for letting me eat here."
"If you say so."
I followed Chris to the kitchen.
"Remillia? You don’t need to help us. Just put the plates in the kitchen sink and Chris will wash it up later."
"I’ll just wash it up mister and besides I need to talk to you about something."
When Chris went back to get the other dishes, That’s when I got the chance to fully talk to Adriel.
"I need your help mister or should I call you Sir Adriel Mercer of the Caribbean Squad?"
We had our back facing each other, he was cooking while I was washing the dishes. For a moment, the air became thick with tension as we both waited who will make the first move.
The kitchen door suddenly opened revealing Chris.
"Dad! Customers are swarming in! We have our first order."
"Coming right up!"
Adriel fastened his move as he move the dish on a plate before putting it on serving counter.
"If you were an assassin, you would have killed me already when you had the chance so what do you need from me?"
"Mister, I need you to stand as my witness in the killing of Sir Kaelith Bloodfane."
Slam!
The knife hit the chopping board hard causing it to crack.
"It’s useless."
"But Sir Kaelith’s death is considered as a foul play!"
"How do you know that?"
He turned around to look at me suspiciously.
"Don’t bother asking, I won’t tell you anyway. So?"
"My answer is no. I won’t help you, it’s too dangerous for us. You don’t know what Arkus could do."
"What? So you would just stand still and let Sir Kaelith’s honor be ruined? Some bastard took the achievement that was supposed to be his!"
"Do you think we didn’t try to avenge Sir Kaelith? We tried but-"
"Dad? Where’s the spicy beef soup? Table number 12 is waiting for it."
"I forgot to serve it. Here!"
"You tried but?"
"We don’t have enough evidence. It just backfired on us and before we know it, Arkus hunted us down one by one. I don’t know if the five of us are still complete."
"There is in fact, one person alive other than you."
Adriel turned to look at me again.
"Who?"
Chris interrupted us again.
"Remi where are those plates? I need it here!"
I immediately placed it in front of the serving counter as Chris swiftly grabbed it before placing it on the customer’s table. Then I went back to washing the dishes again.
"I won’t tell you for now since I haven’t met with him yet. Pleae help me."
"No."
"Even though I have already gathered the evidences?"
"Still not helping you."
"What if I said I have Sir Kaelith’s remains?"
A butcher’s knife came flying through the air aiming the back of her head, luckily she dodged it.
"Have you gone mad?!"
I pulled the butcher’s knife that was stuck in the wall in front of me and washed it.
"Mister I should be the one asking you that instead."
I aimed the butcher’s knife back at him as he swiftly caught it with his left hand while his right hand was busy stirrig stew on the pot.
"Nah, I know you will evade it considering that you’re enrolled in that Aademy. So tell me, how did you find Sir Kaelith’s body?"
"I went to the dungeon, escaped the boyguards, climbed down the cliff, then found Sir Kaelith’s remains along with other dead bodies."
"Let me guess, you’re also the one who destroyed the statue?"
"Bingo!"
’She must have escaped the mental asylum. No one dared to mess the Aguire family ever since Arkus got famous and yet a girl managed to destroy his statue and even has the guts to file a lawsuit against him. This girl... She might just be the one who will fight Sir Kaelith’s honor from that bastard. They just gave up easily, afraid that Arkus will find and kill all of them and that made him even more guilty.’
"Mister?"
"Why are you even doing this? What would you gain from this?"
Remillia was silent for a while.
"I just hate how Sir Kaelith didn’t get the chance to live his life fully. I want to take all what that bastard has stolen and return it to its rightful owner."
"I’ll do it."
Remillia was shocked for a while before jumping with joy.
’Alright! One more person to go.’
"Under one condition, help me protect my family."
"Consider it done!"
I grabbed one of my mystic maravilla out of my bag and handed it over to him.
"Here."
"What’s this?"
"Open it."
"AAAHHH!"
