Infinite Skin System: Starting as An Eldritch Knight-Chapter 57: Medium Undead
[TERROR BAT EQUIPPED]
Carter turned into the bat and flew back to Charles’s house before they returned.
[SHADOW APOTHECARY EQUIPPED]
He transformed into Dr. Hugo and went to Fontaine’s room. She was still sleeping soundly.
’You will be waking up soon, Florence Fontaine.’
Charles and Peter might take a lot of time to return. They traveled by foot after all.
In the meantime, Carter checked his current skin shards.
[Total Skin Shards]
- Awaken Terror Shards (8 Minor, 9 Medium, 4 Major)
- Awaken Undead Shards (69 Minor, 24 Medium)
- Mortal Cyber Slave Shards (2 Minor)
- Mortal Human Shards (13 Minor, 17 Medium, 159 Major)
’Hmm. More than 60 Minor Shards and 20 Medium Shards. Let’s forge them all.’
Carter fired up the Skin Forge once again. The hammer and anvil appeared inside a floating window.
[Please insert skin shards]
’Let’s see how many variations I can get.’
[Lost x60 Minor Undead Shards (Awaken)]
Carter threw the shards onto the anvil at once. The hammer struck ruthlessly.

’Hmm. Undead Line really does not have too much differences between skins. Most of the aspects of the two skins are identical. Only one is different.’
Carter felt that Undead was much weaker than Terror. Terror also had many variations as well.
’Undead might be physically weak. But it would be much more difficult to eradicate them than Terror. Eldritch Knight can kill all Terrors. But for Undead...’
Carter looked at his reflection in the window. The reflection of the skinny Dr. Hugo. He had a feeling this skin was given to him for a reason.
If Undead couldn’t be eradicated by forces, then there must be more delicate solution.
’Undead in this world are a disease. Then I can defeat it simply by treating the sickness. That is why the Shadow Apothecary was born.’
Through the window, Carter saw Charles and Peter rushed home in a hurry.
’Then shall the treatment begin.’
Carter intended to take his role seriously. Maybe even get the Undead Pandemic go down to a manageable level. But he didn’t want to get rid of them completely.
Carter still needed them for more skin shards after all.
Charles rushed inside the room. He saw Carter sat by the bed of Florence Fontaine.
"How did it go?" Carter asked, pretended like he knew nothing at all.
"That friend of yours. He’s really... Special."
"He’s strong, isn’t he?" Carter chuckled. "One of the few pure souls left in this world. Did you get the book?"
"I got it here. I will go to Mr. Orkings later to exchange for the plant. But your friend did give us another gift." Charles gestured to Peter and the man put a canteen on the table.
"This is?" Carter frowned.
"He said that it could be what you’re looking for. Holy Water. But your friend isn’t sure." Charles said.
Carter chuckled gently. "Ah! That beast of a man. He still gives me surprise till this day."
"Dr. Hugo. Could you please talk with me privately?" Charles said.
"What? Is there something wrong?" Carter raised an eyebrow.
"I am curious about your friend. Peter will look after Florence."
"Alright."
Carter followed Charles into his office as the man sat down tiredly.
"You aren’t going to Mr. Orkings, yet?" Carter said.
"It’s still too early. He won’t even meet me." Charles waved dismissively.
Then he leaned forward with a serious expression.
"Your friend. Zeneros Blackburn. What exactly is he?"
Carter smirked secretly inside. He was given another chance to build the lore of another character. Maybe several at a times.
On the outside, he sighed. Carter grabbed the chair and sit down in the opposite of Charles.
"I’m not from here, Mr. Desilet."
"I figure." Charles nodded.
"I travelled through many places. Places that you can never imagine with the sole obsession of improving my skill and my practice.
In those times, I almost died... several times. There was one particular night in Transylvania where I might as well did.
But Zen saved me from a monster."
