They arrived near the Port Base a few hours later. From their height, they could see the base was intact.

"It still looks decent. I’m guessing this area still hasn’t seen upgraded zombies yet," Kaize said, chewing on a snack Khalifa low-key handed to each of them.

"Quite a few things changed in our Port Base," she said, looking curiously in its direction. The men smiled.

"Should we take a look?" Cauis asked and she nodded.

There was no helipad though so they asked Susana to take Mr. Bo and daughter go to the island first and they’d be taking the boat there for the scenic sea route.

Anyway, they were finally home. There was no need to rush anymore.

They also asked Sigmund to come with Mr. Bo and the others but he refused, apparently also wanting to see the base, though the other men just narrowed their eyes at him.

Since finding out Khalifa could be the cure, this guy’s red eyes hadn’t left Khalifa at all!

Khalifa took it in stride, saying it was just a scientist’s curiosity but the men couldn’t help but want to poke his crimson eyes, anyway!

Anyway, the helicopter landed a few hundred meters from the base. They chose an open space where the nearest park outside the gate was. There were some monsters attracted by the noise but they were taken care of easily.

They walked over the gate and saw the guards. Some seemed unfamiliar and some weren’t, and they were curious how much had changed.

The gate opened and everyone went inside. It was just that, as soon as the gates closed, they were immediately met with gangsters pointing guns.

Those guns were familiar. It was theirs.

"So you’re still alive," the leading gangster said, "All alive with friends, eh?"

His tone dripped with arrogance and malice, and everyone’s guards were high, ready to fight as needed.

At the same time, they took the chance to study who was being aggressive to them in the first place. There were also more and more people joining in, looking at them with different expressions.

There was even the woman who tried seducing Caius and Kaize behind them. She looked a little reluctant, but otherwise she was comfortable behind these men.

Looking around, with these guys seeming to have taken a leading role, it was obvious a lot more things changed during this time than they thought.

Kaize stepped forward, making the men raise their guns guardedly at him. Kaize stopped right in front of Khalifa. "What happened to Ugo?"

That man was a veteran and they had a lot of security in their villa.

The man sneered at the mention of him, "That bastard’s dead of course. We made sure he suffered. He killed so many of us, after all."

This made Kaize and Cauis’ frown, feeling sad for the tragedy, and pity for the lost strongman.

They kept their cool though as they looked around. "You seem to have forgotten how we secured this base," Kaize said, referring to his and Cauis’ strengths.

The gangsters grinned, a few of them summoning their own elements. "We also awakened Supernaturalists now! You’re not special anymore! NYAHAHAHA!"

Among the gangsters, there was one who could control water and another who could control fire. Finally, there were two people who could control earth.

They were small. The fires were just in the form of small embers, water in the form of half-a-liter water balls, and the earth in the form of a few floating rocks. However, but they were legit.

No wonder they were so arrogant. They must’ve thought they were more powerful than he and Caius now.

Anyway, their expressions didn’t change despite so many guns and ’supernaturals’ pointing at them. On the contrary, they were studying the surroundings, determining who were truly the hostile forces and who were hostages.

There were plenty of gangsters around, yes, but there were a lot more civilians shivering, looking at them with mix of fear, pity, and hopelessness.

They also saw some hiding behind walls while most were probably holed in their abodes.

Khalifa sighed and walked out the men’s body shields, making several people gasp at her appearance. The women of the men frowned, glaring at her, while the others drooled.

"Whoa! You even brought us a gorgeous gift!"

"I know her! I masturbate to her video!"

"Gorgeous!"

The men were on the verge of attacking but Khalifa raised her hand. She was still recovering from the technique earlier, and she couldn’t make blades to behead them all immediately, which was necessary to keep her side 100% safe from bullets.

She still had to choose her techniques well.

"Who are the leaders?" She asked and several men stepped forward, thinking she would attach herself to them.

Three men frowned as they looked at each other.

There were, in fact, three gangs who joined forces in order to take over this base. So far, they had cooperated relatively well—considering everything, anyway—and there had been no major conflicts.

Until now.

Khalifa looked at all of them with a smile that could bewitch monks. "I will be with whoever is the strongest here," she said.

Two of the men immediately pointed at each other and their respective underlings did the same. They were about to press the trigger when a woman behind them screamed.

"You idiots! She’s pitting you against each other!" She screamed to the top of her lungs, making the men flinch a bit, looking at the woman, and then to Khalifa.

This seems to have woken up the men and pointed at their direction again.

"Bitch! See how much I’ll play with you when I get my hands on you!"

Khalifa and her men didn’t seem particularly fazed. On the contrary, Khalifa basically ignored them.

She looked around, staring at all the members of the ’hostile forces’. Among them, there were recruits and not really part of a gang. She didn’t want to accidentally kill innocents.

"Who agrees with them? Step forward," she said, voice stable, opposite to what a normal woman would act like when a gun was pointed straight at her.

"Heh, what are you going to do?"

"I want to know who wants to keep these men in charge," she asked, looking at the members of the guard team that seemed uncomfortable with their treatment.

"I’m very strong," she told them. "You don’t have to be afraid of these men."

The men laughed, wiggling their guns. "So cute. She seems coo-coo but I bet she’s wild in bed."

"Oh she is. I want to lap her so bad!"

The men behind Khalifa flinched, wanting to attack but Khalifa raised her hand to stop them. Instead, she asked again, this time focusing on a few people who seemed genuinely uncomfortable with the aggressin.

"Well? Be honest. I may spare whoever says otherwise."

Reluctantly, a few people stepped back, while a few remained. The gangsters took note as well, making sure to make these people suffer after they had their fun with the woman.

The people shivered as they received the malicious glares, but a slash later they would see the same few heads fall down to the floor, separated from their heads.

They could only heave out dry screams when they realized what happened, eyes shifting to the person who was responsible.

"There, done," Khalifa said with a smile, with her men stepping to block her with their bodies in case someone still had a gun and shot in retaliation.

However, no one did. No one could.

Several people just lost the feeling of their legs and kneeled down, and from afar, it almost looked like they were bowing.
