Kingdom Building: Civilization Starts with Divinity-Chapter 92: Caras, The Forsaken Knight Of The Lost King(3)
"YOU WILL ALL ROT IN THE ENDLESS NIGHTMARE!"
Standing completely still, an eerie black aura began surrounding Caras. Since he stopped moving, Gravana tried to punch his rabbit-like head, but the moment his fur touched the aura, he retreated.
Feeling an intense stinging sensation all throughout his hand, Gravana growled. When he looked at his hand, he saw that some of the fur around his fists had melted off.
"Shit! What is that?!" He scoffed.
Nera thrust one of her sticks into the aura. While nothing happened to the stick thanks to the Divine Energy Reinforcement, her mana dropped by 10% in an instant.
"It’s corrosion! Why does a Species of Mana have a Demonic ability?" Nera questioned, reverting to her Neutral Form.
"Nera, you can dissect him after we beat him. Regroup for now." Alchemy sighed.
Nera and Gravana nodded as they leaped back toward Alchemy.
"What’s the plan?" Gravana questioned.
"Are you asking because you don’t know how to deal with corrosion or because this is one of your sadistic tests?" A bitter smile appeared on Alchemy’s face.
"A bit of both." He chucked in response.
Alchemy felt her eye beginning to twitch.
"Corrosion Is a tricky ability." She clicked her tongue.
Before she could say anything else, Caras’s drill started spinning rapidly, and his right eye socket began glowing with a blue flame amongst the dark energy.

<Notice: Phase two... Begin!>
As the system notification said, Caras jumped into the air. While everyone was put on guard, he didn’t leap toward them but instead aimed for the floor.
Rapid as an industrial borer, he dug into the ground, causing everyone’s eyes to widen in shock. Gravana especially.
"I can’t sense him! Watch out!" Gravana shouted.
Indeed. Even the rumbling that came from his drill mining through dirt and rocks echoed throughout the room perfectly. There was no way to tell where Caras had gone.
Luckily, it didn’t take long for him to resurface as a small sign appeared below Nera. She barely had a second to react and no time to dodge. Instead, she returned to her Gigant Form and clashed with his drill.
"TO TAKE THE... QUEEN’S HEAD YOU MUST START WITH THE ROYAL GUARD!" Caras’s words became less clear and more sporadic.
At the same time, the sword that had been floating suddenly aimed at Alchemy, flying at her separate from Caras. In retaliation, she punched the tip of the blade with her reinforced fists.
Worse still, Caras’s health had increased by about 13%!
Both Alchemy and Nera were sent back. Alchemy due to being unable to entirely stop the force of the blade, and Nera due to her mana dropping faster than she could.
The sword continued after Alchemy, but Gravana stepped in and slammed the sword to the ground.
"So about that plan?" Gravana questioned once again as he watched Caras burrow once again.
"Firstly, don’t let him burrow. He seems to heal while underground. Secondly, Corrosion is the ability to melt anything. Even to stand close to him, you need something to burn as a substitute, like my and Nera’s Divine Energy. His head is unarmored. All we need is one good attack to get through." Alchemy explained.
The head was their only option. His armor, despite them beating on it for the entire time, is only dented. His helmet came off, sure, but even that wasn’t terribly damaged.
But Alchemy could only grit her teeth as she spoke. While the head was their clear best option, that drill-like horn made it difficult to approach.
She’s been keeping an eye on everyone’s energy, and both Nera and her were almost out of SP. Gravana was the only one with any resources left since he hadn’t been using his mana at all.
"GRAHAHAHA! I see! To think such an interesting ability exists! Finally, this knight is starting to seem like a worthy opponent!" Gravana cheered.
As he continued to laugh like a maniac, the once-stagnant air began to shift.
The smallest shift started to become the greatest swirl as it began to coat Gravana’s body.
"Gale’s False Dance"
The wind spun faster and became sharper as Gravana adorned an armor of a thousand razors. The sound of the raging wind was so loud that Alchemy had to cover her ears.
The moment Caras resurfaced, Gravana completely vanished from Alchemy’s sight, grabbing Caras before he could fully resurface and attack Nera.
"GO HELP YOUR MOTHER WITH THAT SWORD, SHAPESHIFTER! I’LL DEAL WITH HIM!" Gravana laughed, proceeding to slam Caras into the nearest wall and dragging him against it.
"Oh-oh-kay." Nera stuttered, lacking the time needed to fully comprehend what just happened.
"T-teacher! Give me a warning before you do something like that!" Alchemy shouted in a panic, narrowly dodging the sword coming at her.
She shifted the trajectory of the blade by hitting its face, but her other arm still got cut due to her deactivating her reinforcement.
Due to hitting it without any reinforcement, a searing pain far worse than anything she’s felt thus far shot through her dominant arm.
It was like her bones were being eaten away, shattered, and melted by magna simultaneously.
Despite being able to push through all the pain she’d suffered up to this point, Alchemy couldn’t help but let out a blood-curdling scream as she grabbed her arm.
<Notice: You have been inflicted with the Status Disarm(Left)!>
<You cannot use your left arm for 30 minutes!>
The sword took a few moments to turn and realign itself with Alchemy, but the small girl couldn’t dodge it due to the pain.
As it rushed to her face, Nera came from the side, grabbing the sword’s hilt and impaling it deep into the ground before stomping on it several times to ensure that it was really stuck down there.
"Mother Goddess! Are you alright!" Nera questioned as she crouched to check on Alchemy.

Glancing at her vitals, Alchemy nodded with heavy breaths.
"That pain wasn’t natural... That sword has a weird enchantment on it."
Nera nodded as she glanced at the sword. It was wiggling chaoticly as it tried to free itself.
"Can you fight?"
Alchemy took a long look at Nera.
"I should be asking you the same thing." She responded, forcing herself to stand.
