Chapter 142: Trial Of Water Part 6: The Broken Blades Assault.

Darius had activated armour of scales, and he did so subconsciously not even thinking of what was about to happen.

So when Aya fired at him with bullets, he was able to tank it and make sure that he wasn’t going to get wounded.

The impact sent him crashing into walls, so the hit from the bullets didn’t break the armor.

’I must say, this is the first time I have seen you act like you knew what was coming next.’

Azree’s snarky voice popped out of nowhere, and there was a smile on Darius’s face seeing that there was no damage done to him.

"I knew that with my regeneration down, they would be worried if I took a major hit and this is nowhere to be taken down like that."

Darius got up, picking up Ve’xa he was about to walk away but then something flashed in his eyes again and he could see it.

The same dark eerie vision he kept having, it was there he could feel it but then.

"I don’t like this!" Darius didn’t know how he was going to place everything in order. "I keep seeing that same thing, I don’t know where it would come from."

’You should focus on what’s in front of you and not what you can’t see yet so you will get out of here alive with your allies by your side.’

Azree advised, Darius knew that there was no lie there and he was going to need to stop worrying about a being that hadn’t shown itself yet.

"You’re right!" He hung Ve’xa on his shoulder and began to walk out of the rubble, and in front of him, he saw that Raya was about to be stabbed.

"No!"

Without a second thought, Darius launched himself for the two of them using Ve’xa to block the tentacle.

Raya was in his arms, his face covered in pure rage.

Opening her eyes Raya could see Darius holding her close and she knew that there was nothing going to happen to her.

"Darius?"

Our young warrior holding her tightly couldn’t control his anger.

"None of you are dying here!"

Darius let out a roar, pushing Aya back. His eyes were letting out their signature jade and crimson glow.

"The mortal warrior is present!" Aya snarled as she swam around conjuring an attack for Darius.

"Yeah, and you’re still ugly!" Darius barked back, his voice filled with much sass. "I thought the glowing cocoon meant that you would get an upgrade and not look like you came from the trench to suck my soul."

Aya roared sending poison spikes for Darius and Raya.

[Warning! The Spikes of Tartara: the venom can kill even the strongest creatures.]

Darius didn’t waste time, he used his telekinetic abilities to pull a rock blocking the darts from hitting both of them.

"Raya, I need you to catch yourself!"

Darius yelled swinging Raya down to the side where Theo and Michael were meant to be.

Raya landed gracefully, and she turned to notice something that seemed to have crossed her mind.

"Darius can fly?"

Darius had broken his limit, using his telekinetic abilities he managed to figure out a way to keep himself afloat for some time.

"Well then!" He smiled, swinging Ve’xa for Aya. But the monster was fast, blocking it with a tentacle.

Aya turned them and released her wail.

Darius countered it letting out his strongest roar.

[Cries of the Fallen Sage Activated!]

Both attacks collided and almost like a time bomb waiting to be detonated, they were pushed back. The shockwaves from the blast made the water level rise a bit, shattering the pillars of the temple in front of them, and the entire foundation began to shake.

Darius landed on the edge of the pond, he looked up and he could see that there was no way for him to beat her with the water there.

"I need to get rid of that water..."

He pondered what he needed to do, and suddenly it hit him.

"That’s it!"

"Darius look out!"

Lifting his head he saw another tentacle coming his way but then it was blocked by a blazing green flash.

Theo had gotten up from the hit, and he was fiercer than before.

"You should pay more attention to the battlefield!"

"Aye, captain!" Darius smiled, The next thing he saw was Raya flying towards Aya again this time Michael was behind her.

"Blade of the Fifth Dragon: Sabuzas Slash!" She yelled sending powerful slashes for Aya. The slashes took out two of the monster’s tentacles, and it was strong and she was not even holding back anymore.

"Golden Strike: Pistol Blast!" Michael released a powerful blast to Aya’s groin pushing the monster back.

"What is happening?" Aya couldn’t comprehend that four mortals were able to even push her back that much.

Darius smiled seeing that the team was in sync, he got up walking close to the pond he knew what he was going to do to make sure that they took the guardian down.

"Theo, you guys hold that ugly wench back." Darius smiled diving into the pond, Theo was shocked seeing what Darius just did.

"You bastard!" Theo yelled, a vein popping out on his head. "Be okay." He sighed knowing that Darius wasn’t going to be doing something normal.

"Michael, Raya!" He called out, his spear in his hand.

"We need to push her back a bit, I need your strongest attacks and please don’t hold back."

"Roger that!" The two yelled in unison both of them taking footing on separate parts of the dungeon.

Theo closed his eyes, his body began to emit his signature green glow in a powerful way it was so strong that one could see it.

"This is part of the reason why I started to train with Darius, that being said that I was holding back, since then I could feel it!"

He took a stance, holding his spear down.

"Avalorian Impact: Form Of The Eagle!"

Suddenly the aura of a mighty eagle covered Theo, his eyes were pure green and he was ready to strike.

"Are you guys ready?!"

He called out for his allies, and Raya and Michael were ready.

"Yes!"

"Now!"

Theo blasted like a rocket, the other two followed.

"Spear of The Divine: Avalon’s Thrust!"

"Dance of The Blue Dragon: Azure’s Slice!"

"Golden Bull Impact!"

The three struck Aya, the collision pushed the guardian back disorienting it more than anything.

"Arghhhh!"

Aya let out a cry of pain and agony. She wasn’t ready to go down, and it wasn’t going to be there.

"I won’t let mortals take me down!"

"I will not be taken down like this!"

The monster began slowly healing itself, almost like it had activated it.

The three warriors landed on the other side of the pond, looking at the monster it was clear that they were going to need to do more.

"What are we going to do now?" Raya spoke up, she couldn’t shake it out that there was something about to happen and they didn’t know what it would bring.

"Your deaths are close!" Aya roared about to conjure an attack but then she stopped, looking down at the pond surface. She felt something odd, it was as if the water had begun boiling.

She looked up, her eyes darting around. "Where is the child of chaos?"
