Chapter 71: His Resolve...

Hanzo was looking at Darius. he didn’t know what he was going to say, but he could see that there was something different about him, and it was not even hidden.

"So Darius, you don’t want to be known as a high-ranking warrior in the world or maybe aim for something like forming a clan of your own." Hanzo was trying to see if he would say something a bit weird.

But Darius’s expression didn’t change. He had no interest in anything beyond their original mission.

"Nah, it would feel like hard work, and I don’t want that. I only want to make sure that my sister doesn’t go through pain again, and I will be able to take care of her and any other person who joins the guild." He smiled, his presence alone changed the workshop to something warm.

It was like he was not even bothered about what the other warriors did around him; he was only going to be trying to make sure he did what he saw as the right thing.

Raya was looking at him, it was clear there was a comparison with the other high-ranking warriors in the city. Only looking at him could tell her that he was different from the others.

’I didn’t know I could ever see a warrior that had this kind of presence, not only that, nothing he is saying is changing. He is only standing on his words, maybe he is different after all.’

She was looking at him, amazed at how one warrior was completely different from the rest, and she was the wrong one.

"And all done!" Hanzo yelled with joy, he stretched his hand bringing out the gauntlets, and he looked at Darius with a smile. "These are enforced with greater steel, high-ranking warriors found in a special raid overseas."

"Wow, that’s awesome!" Darius put on the gauntlets, and surprisingly, they glowed a bit, reacting to Darius’s energy.

’Mmmh, this feels oddly familiar.’ Darius wondered why the gauntlets felt like something he had felt before.

’That gauntlet has dragon scales on it, perhaps the steel he was talking about was a dragon scale. A powerful drake, I presume. strange how in the world did they get a drake’s scale?’ Azree chimed in.

Darius was looking at the gauntlets, hearing what Azree said, he knew it was something strong, and he was going to be using it wisely.

"Here goes," Darius took a deep breath before charging the gauntlets with his energy. It glowed with a pure dark red aura. The gauntlet was reacting to Darius’s powers; the energy it was producing alone was powerful enough to make the workshop lights flicker.

Hanzo and Raya were looking at Darius, it was then clear that the warrior in front of them had some kind of unmatched energy.

’Out of curiosity, I used crystals normally used for Mythic ranks, and he is somehow charging it up! Doesn’t this mean he is a Mythic rank?! Why in the world are they ranking him SS?!’ Hanzo thought to himself.

"Dad, are you feeling it? His energy feels calm, but once you feel it for a while. It feels like uncontrollable and wild!" Raya was looking at her father, she could see that he was feeling the same thing she was feeling.

"Raya, this man, he is not like other warriors," Hanzo whispered to his daughter, looking at Darius. It was incredible what they were feeling.

"Alright!" Darius dispersed his energy; he knew what the gauntlets were going to do, and he was going to be able to use it for whatever it was he would do. "I am not ready for the first raid on the weekend." He looked at Hanzo and Raya with his usual smile.

"How much will that be?" He asked, looking at Hanzo, he managed not to notice the shocked look on the man’s face.

Hanzo snapped out of it, looking at Darius, he didn’t want to charge him anything, he was amused how a warrior as strong as him would be that humble.

"I want to say on the house, but I feel like you wouldn’t want that." The man smiled, looking at Darius, he was not sure what he was going to get as a response.

Darius was looking at him, and his face went a bit sour; he was not expecting anything from Hanzo.

"Can that be for my next purchase or deal with you? I want you to pay me for this." Darius was looking at Hanzo, he didn’t know what was going to come from it.

Hanzo, knowing that there was no point in arguing with Darius, smiled. He knew it was going to be pointless to drag further.

"Alright then, it will be a total of $10,000." Hanzo smiled. He was looking at Darius, and the young man pulled out his card, looking at Hanzo. He swiped it, paying for the gauntlets.

"There!" Darius smiled. He was not going to be taking anything from Hanzo for free today.

"Alright, Mr. Tegehshi, I will be seeing you later!" He took the gauntlets and walked to the door, he paused for a while. Darius turned to look at Raya. "And I will see you around glasses."

Darius waved at Raya before walking out of the workshop. Raya stared at the door for a while. It was the first time someone spoke to her without trying to be nice or something like that.

’It is almost like he is not even looking at my status, he only sees me for me.’ She was looking at the door, still trying to understand what had happened.

"He’s something ain’t he?" Hanzo spoke up, breaking Raya from her train of thought. It was not strange that she was dumbfounded by someone like Darius.

She turned to her father and saw the look in his eyes. "Why do I feel like you like the guy?"

"Hehe, is it that obvious?" He rubbed his head, then he fixed his gaze on the door. His expression changed, and he looked at the door with a stern look. "The first time I saw him, I thought he was one of those warriors who would want to use excuses to be in debt. But I was wrong, he was nothing like that. At first, I thought he was a weak warrior, but then he managed to bring in the core of two high-ranking monsters."

Hanzo looked at the counter, and he was sure of it.

"Raya, that man will be part of the reason why the world will go through some change."

Raya turned to her father. She was surprised that he was saying something like that. "What do you mean, Father?"

"You’ll see what I mean." He smiled as he patted her head. It was like Hanzo had felt something peculiar with Darius.

Raya turned to the door, she was sure of it too, from only looking at him. "He is a peculiar man, only if we run into each other again." She adjusted her glasses.
