Loving The Cursed Werewolf King-Chapter 54: He Keeps His Promise
<Northendell>
Arielle quickly closed her eyes, and waited for Ronan to let go of her face. Her hands dangled at either side of her body, feeling stiff. Her legs also had to be on tiptoe because the man wrapped one of his hands tightly around her, which made both of their bodies pressed against each other.
Ronan then pulled his face away and smiled a little when he saw Arielle’s eyebrows furrowed. He saw that her eyes were tightly closed. His thumb stroked the blush on Arielle’s smooth cheeks.
"I missed you," said Ronan casually.
Arielle opened her eyes slowly. Her heart was beating so fast now, and she didn’t know how to respond to the man’s words. The princess pursed her lips, then lowered her head. Her face felt so hot.
Arielle felt embarrassed to be watched from this close distance.
Ronan really wanted to hear the girl’s voice.
"My business is done on time. Now is the time for me to keep my promise."
"Promise?" asked Arielle in a very low voice.
"Two days ago, I said I would take you to see the Frostberry forest, didn’t I?"
Arielle gasped slightly. She didn’t know why she was surprised even though she had been thinking about it for a while. Maybe it was because Arielle didn’t expect that Ronan would come back so soon.
She thought the man had forgotten and was doing something else, or maybe he had left her because of the refusal she gave him. But now, he was still very nice to her.
"You changed your mind?" asked Ronan, a little bit disappointed to find Arielle’s response that looked so disinterested.
"Oh, no-no. I still wish I could see it," Arielle replied shyly.
The girl was not as brave as before. It was obvious that Arielle was nervous right now. It was just like their first meeting. The girl looked awkward. Ronan also looked down to see the Arielle who tiptoed right now. Her hands squeezed the sides of her dress awkwardly.
Ronan’s brows furrowed in displeasure at the sight of the girl’s shaking hands. Was Arielle cold?
Ronan examined Arielle from top to bottom carefully. Her lips which had always looked natural pink this time were paler and slightly chapped. Her cheeks were also redder than usual.
The frosty breath that came from the girl’s mouth indicated that Arielle was cold. The girl had been sitting outside the palace for quite a while. Right, she was cold and needed to be warmed up immediately.
Ronan put his hands under Arielle’s back and knees and lifted her. Arielle, who felt a sudden flying sensation, let out a small scream in surprise.
"Your Majesty? I-I can walk by myself."
"I know, but I want to carry you like this," said Ronan. He tried to keep himself from grinning.
He took Arielle to his room which made the girl panic. Several guards immediately lowered their heads because the king was not wearing his mask. Ronan opened the door to his room easily and closed it again with his foot.
The man put Arielle on his bed. Arielle tried to get up, but Ronan told the girl to lie down again.
"You’re cold. Warm yourself up first here. Let me just have the maids prepare your clothes for our departure tomorrow morning."
Ronan lifted Arielle’s legs and helped the girl take off her shoes. He wondered in amazement at how someone could walk on a pile of snow with feet this small?
Arielle’s shoe size was even smaller than the palm of his hand. Come to think of it, the girl’s weight was also very light. Hm... Ronan needed to feed Arielle more.

Arielle waited on Ronan’s bed with a confused mind. The man had left her alone after he said that Arielle needed rest because her body was getting cold.
All the attention given by the man overwhelmed Arielle. Sometimes Arielle thought, what had she done to get all this?
She was too used to doing everything alone in Nieverdell, and if she needed help, it would be only Tania or a few of her fellow-servants that would help her. Arielle’s face felt hot again when she remembered how awkward she was every time she was touched by that man.
One thing Arielle was sure of... that kiss and all the touching that Ronan did to her was not something a friend would normally do. Arielle often saw Tania hugging her male relatives or that painter friend of hers. But all their hugs looked simple and did not contain any meaning.
While Ronan’s embrace... felt totally different.
The king returned with a trolley of food.
"We are leaving tomorrow morning. Sorry, our trip has to be postponed due to more important matters. Since tomorrow our trip will take two days, I don’t want you to get sick, so today I asked Chef Michael to make a warm meal for you."
Arielle removed the black blanket and shifted her body to sit on the edge of the bed. As she was about to stand up, Ronan held her shoulders to sit back.
The man set up a folding table made of wood and then placed a plate of food on it. He also brought a glass of warm milk for Arielle.
"Your Majesty... You don’t have to do all this," Arielle said. The girl looked at all the food in front of her uneasily.
"Why? You don’t like the food?"
Arielle shook her head. "It’s not like that, it’s just... I can prepare all of this myself, and you must have more important work to do, don’t you?"
Ronan took off his mask, which he had put back on when he left his room. He ruffled his hair until some of his hair fell over his forehead. Arielle was stunned because this was the first time she had seen Ronan look casual. Usually, the man always had a neatly arranged hairstyle.
"I’m doing this because you’re my friend," answered Ronan. He flicked his index finger lightly against Arielle’s nose, almost dying of her cuteness.
Arielle hesitated to reach for her spoon. She glanced at Ronan, who raised his eyebrows, and signaled Arielle to immediately taste the pumpkin soup in front of her. The smell of the soup was so sweet it made Arielle’s stomach growl.
"Eat, you need more energy for the next trip," said Ronan. He held back a laugh as he saw how red Arielle’s face was. He gently stroked the top of Arielle’s head.
