Loving The Cursed Werewolf King-Chapter 632: The Ancient Curse (Cecillia’s Point Of Views)
I was sitting alone while seeing Amadea busy with himself, trying to cook the vegetables he got in the forest. All this time, Amadea had always eaten whatever was available without cooking it first, but I didn’t want to eat raw food. So, since a few days ago when I often felt nauseous at seeing Amadea biting the deer meat in front of me, the man tried to stop eating raw food.
I offered to cook it myself, but Amadea refused. I was forbidden to touch sharp knives and also to cook, so since a few days ago all Amadea had been cooking the food for both of us.
After learning that I was pregnant with his child, Amadea became overprotective again. A few days ago, I just wanted to soak myself in the lake, but the man had to join in for fear that I would drown when I was out of his reach, although the lake already became my playground. Even the middle of the lake wasn’t higher than my shoulders. Really, Amadea was too much.
And later in the day, Amadea also called someone. She was a woman from the werewolf clan. The woman came to explain to me about what I would feel when I was pregnant. I wasn’t the only one that learned about the things that happened during the pregnancy, but Amadea also learned a lot from the werewolf woman.
Basically, when I was pregnant at a young age, I should get a lot of rest. The woman explained the reason I often felt nauseous when I smelled strong smells. She had also asked me whether I experienced extreme mood swings or not, but I felt fine. I didn’t feel any extreme mood swings. It was just that the nausea that I was experiencing was a little troublesome, even so the woman said that it was all normal.
And, Hylios, ever since Amadea announced my pregnancy, I hadn’t seen the man anymore. Amadea said that maybe Hylios returned to his clan. Even though there were a lot of questions swirling in my head about why the man was looking at me with such a strange look on his face before, I tried to forget it and not think about it too much.
I stared at the flower vase filled with snowdrop flowers. I didn’t know where Amadea got it from, but those flowers were my favorite flowers. Usually, the flower would only appear at the end of winter before spring.
I didn’t know how Amadea could get those flowers in a season other than winter. I touched the tip of the bell-shaped flower that was bowing down. Its beautiful white color fascinated me. Almost every day Amadea brought those flowers for me. So that every time the day changed, there would always be fresh snowdrop flowers on our dining table.
"This is for you, and this is for me."
I smiled at seeing Amadea’s cooking results, which were... er... a little messy. No, I thought it was really a mess. Even though I had no cooking skills or experience in cooking, at least I knew when I should flip or take the food before it got burnt. However, it seemed Amadea didn’t understand that basic thing.
The fish skin that the man served to me was now full of grilled charcoal. I waited for it to cool down a bit then opened the skin of the fish. There wasn’t much meat because most of it had been burnt.
"Eat a lot. Now you have to eat for two people," said Amadea confidently.
I saw Amadea who immediately put the whole grilled fish into his mouth. Then, he slightly frowned and pulled out the fish thorns and head with ease. I flinched at how the man could eat burnt food so easily.
"Do humans always eat bitter food like this?" His question made me almost laugh.
I shook my head in disbelief. Really, Amadea was beyond my reasoning. I reached out my hand to wipe the rest of the burnt around his lips.
"You don’t want to eat?" asked Amadea.
"I will eat."
Then, I separated the skin and burnt fish that couldn’t be eaten. Eating under Amadea’s fierce gaze really made me nervous.
"You eat very little. Is that enough to fill your stomach?"
"Yeah. This is more than enough."
"Hm... do you want something else to eat? It is said that if human girls get pregnant, they will have periods of cravings for something specific. Hylios said so."
"Cravings for something?"
"Yeah, like a strong urge to want something."
Strong urge to want something? Hm... I couldn’t think of anything. Oh, maybe there was one, but I didn’t really want it. It was just a fleeting thought that went through my head.
"Hm... maybe there is one."
"What?"
"I... want to see the condition of father and mother."
I looked up to see Amadea’s expression.
"I can’t express it in words because I know my words will only hurt you. At times like this, I hope we have the perfect mate bond so you can feel what I feel."
I had thought about this a few more times. I thought I was ready to do it. I... wanted to receive Amadea completely after this. Since my pregnancy, I felt becoming very dependent on Amadea, like a child who didn’t want to be abandoned by her mother. I even continued to hold Amadea’s hand wherever we were going.
The thought of returning to Northendell and wanting to meet King Theodore again had been completely erased from my mind. I preferred this place. I and the creatures that inhabited in Birwick were friends, and we were in a very good relationship. So far as I had been living here, I didn’t find anything that made me uncomfortable. It was really different when I was in Northendell. Every moment, I felt worried and frightened with every little thing. I had decided not to return to Northehadnell and spend my time at Birwick instead.
Birwick was a large place. It would take a lifetime to explore it, especially if I wanted to visit the residence of each clan, but Amadea had super speed so he could explore Birwick easily.
"Amadea."
"Yes?"
"This is my last selfish request. After... I see that my father and mother live happily with peace, then I will accept you."
"Accept me? What do you mean?"
I averted my face, which became hot. Suddenly, the view outside the window looked more attractive than having to face Amadea. This was so embarrassing.
"After I come back from seeing father and mother, let’s become a perfect mate."
Amadea pounded the table, making me surprised. The man widened his eyes.
"You mean you want to... perfect our mate’s procession? Ah, marry me!"
I giggled at Amadea’s enthusiasm and nodded. "Yeah, that’s right. And I will marry you," I replied, making the man lunge then hug me very tightly.
"We will visit your father and mother now."
Amadea took me to Birwick Kingdom, which was right outside Birwick Mountain. The man didn’t want to waste time because he wanted to start the mating process right away. When I was about to turn around to take my robe, suddenly Amadea moved first, and with incredible speed, he immediately took my robe and put it on me properly.
"Thank you."
"Shall we go now?" he asked.
I didn’t have any other answer than yes because the man had clearly prepared a robe for me, so I nodded in approval.
Amadea changed his form into a magnificent black wolf, then asked me to sit on his back. I did as the man asked. Then, he ran down the cave and past the waterfall, which turned into a gate to get to where we live.
I felt very enthusiastic. I just wanted to see the faces of my father and mother. I wanted to see them happy with what they had always wanted, a peace without any disturbances. My father changed because of the war, and when there was no war, didn’t that mean my father would often smile again?
I held Amadea’s black fur as the man ran fast with his four wolf’s legs, but the speed wasn’t as fast as usual. Maybe Amadea was thinking about my pregnancy. During the journey to Birwick Kingdom, I kept wondering what my mother would think when she found out that her only daughter was getting pregnant by another man?
The child in my stomach belonged to Amadea, not to King Theodore. Besides, I, myself, slowly began to love my baby. Every time Amadea touched my stomach, it felt like there was something precious there, and after staying a few days with the baby, it made me feel that I needed to take good care of the baby, and I started wanting to be with the baby.
Amada and I didn’t get closer and just watched from a distance. From the castle gate, I saw my father and mother who were welcoming someone. Their smiles were so wide that it made me feel sad.
Yes, they were happy, but I wasn’t the reason they were happy. They seemed free. I didn’t know the reason they were happy. Even though I, their daughter, wasn’t there, they really looked like they were enjoying their day.
I looked at them for one last time, keeping both of their smiles and big laughs in my mind before turning around. Then, I stopped when I accidentally met my mother’s gaze. She opened her mouth in surprise. I was sure my mother also saw me, but a hand asked me to turn around. I turned toward Amadea.
"Time to go home?"
Going home? To Mount Birwick? I thought so. I nodded and then left the place where I was born and lived for the last seventeen years.
